The second car: S.O.V.A. - Super hunting amphibious SUV. This specialized SUV is designed for hunters. An observation tower with a rotating seat extending to the 3 meter allows you to contemplate the expanses from a height 5,5 meter from ground level. If necessary, the tower is transformed into a sloop beam with a winch with a lifting capacity of 3 tons for descending-raising from the trunk / onto the trunk of a boat or ATV.

The driver’s seat is separated from the passenger compartment by sliding doors. The floor hidden boxes are sheathed by corrugated aluminum. The central place is occupied by two leather sofas, freely transforming into a sleeping place. If necessary, the sofas are easily dismantled, turning the center of the cabin into a cargo platform. With the help of rollers mounted on the basis of sofas, they can be pushed freely to the sides and get to the transmission. And yet, if you release the center of the cabin, provides a convenient location of the hunters in the “standing” position for shooting through the two upper hatches.

Horizontal rails are welded along the sides along the sofas to which the containers are attached: during a hunt they are used to store ammunition, optics, etc. During parking or a long move to the railing, a regular Panasonic video and audio center is mounted. Opposite each sofa is a sliding table. The cabin capacity is the same as the model U.M.K.A.

OWL. - explanations by Oleg Makarov. Given the preservation of the original aerodynamic forms, it is a maneuverable and fast jeep, which is not afraid of any off-road. Without much effort, he will deliver to the place where the look indicates. Replace the boat and boat.

To increase the internal space, the roof was raised on the 50 cm, in which armor-clamps, removed from the BTR-60, are installed, which in the open position serve as a stop for the back when shooting or watching in the “standing” position.

Side hinged doors (weighing about 200 kg) are made of armor plates, each has 2 windows with dimensions 30x30, see Doors are equipped with bulletproof glasses 20 mm thick. and regular loopholes from BRDM-2. On the handle on the inside there are special locks for fixing. Thanks to four hydraulic shock absorbers and a convenient rotating handle, the 200-kilogram doors open with a flick of the wrist and automatically lock into the extreme upper position. Such spacious doors allow the hunter with a gun to quickly and conveniently carry out the landing / disembarkation of the car, which is especially important for winter hunting.





In addition to swing doors and additional hatches in the roof of the cabin, in the driver's compartment saved "native" driver's hatches. Additionally, on the sides of the vehicle there are armored landing hatches from the BTR-60 with integrated armored glass 20 mm thick. The navigator's cabin with the driver's seat is separated from the passenger compartment by sliding leather-covered doors and tinted glass.







The central place is occupied by 2 leather sofas, which can be easily transformed into a sleeping place (2m x 2,30 m). If necessary, the sofas are easily dismantled, turning the center of the cabin into a cargo platform. With the help of rollers installed in the base of the sofas, we can freely push them to the sides and get unhindered access to the transmission. So, freeing up space in the center of the cabin, we provide a convenient location for the hunters in the “standing” position: to observe or shoot through the 2 upper hatch.





Installed floor hidden lockers (boxes) are sheathed with corrugated aluminum, the total volume of which is 3 cube. m. Different sizes of lockers (boxes) make it possible, without cluttering up the interior, to fold belongings in size and the purpose of their use. The cabin has a built-in 3 additional drawers, which are sheathed inside with isoflen and carpet. It is a safe under the 4 carbine, a box for storing ammunition and a box for kitchen utensils located under the galley.





Convenient multifunctional horizontal handrails are welded along the sides along the sofas, to which the mounted containers are attached: during the hunt they are used to store ammunition, optics, etc. During parking or a long move to the railing, a regular Panasonic video and audio center is mounted. Opposite each sofa set retractable comfortable table. Salon is designed for comfortable movement 4-x hunters, taking into account winter clothing and personal weapons. Full load is designed for 6-8 people, excluding the driver and navigator.



Installed on machine tank night vision device for the 2nd generation driver, LUNA infrared spotlight, headlight with built-in 6x periscope (control from the passenger compartment), low and high beam tank headlights (with blackout device) on the bow and aft. On the model S.O.V.A. An additional “chandelier” of 4 halogen spotlights is installed. Rear view camera in anti-vandal sealed enclosure with armored glass.

H1 is a civilian version of HMMWV (short for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle), or Humvee - that's purely military, let's call a spade a spade.     Specifically for this car. I think it's completely pointless and here's why. The cost of "Bardak", the cost of alteration, the cost of legalizing what happened, the cost of a permit to travel on public roads will be equal to the cost of a normally prepared Unimog or Pinzgauer. Without any "smut". In terms of cross-country ability, both Uni and Pinz are quite comparable with the BRDM, and for comfort they will put it on both shoulder blades. Something like that.

    The car was built (finalized) to escort armored cars in intermediate test tests.
    This UAZ has a Mercedes engine, 4 liters. Blocks in bridges from armored personnel carriers - 80. Low-speed transfer case. Wheels 38 inches. Three winches (front, rear and additional in the cabin, for pulling the load inward). The car is two-seater, behind a clean cargo platform.     On COBE, the sediment on the water is very low (you can see it in the photo). On the military BRDM this is a plus, because very low silhouette on the water. But SOVA is a civilian car and it walks along the Dnieper in a very small navigable channel. Also, unlike the military counterpart, the COBE has a lot of swing hatches, including side ones. That would not flood the cabin with a wave from a suddenly approaching boat (see what it is "like" sneaking along the Dnieper ..) open hatches with orange upholstery serve the same as the orange inner part of the jackets of deck aviation pilots. 
    Well, in case of an emergency situation on the water, open hatches with an orange side are an SOS signal.
    In the photo, pink color is not the correct color rendering of poisonous orange. 
    From a hunting point of view, it has been scientifically proven that animals cannot distinguish orange color. Take a look at the hunting forums - all advanced hunters in orange vests and caps. To see each other, but the boars don't give a damn about this color.

    2. Raccoon in the galley. 
    Look carefully at the door hinges where the raccoon is drawn. They are different. This door is a complex structure. 
    It separates the passenger compartment from the engine compartment. This hinged door houses the onboard coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. 
    Only the galley can be opened. Partial access to the engine compartment can be opened. This hinged door can be removed completely to service the engine from the passenger compartment. 
    In itself, this multi-layer sealed design also serves as sound insulation from motor noise.
    The front panel on this swing door is also removable. The service diagrams of the engine compartment are drawn on the doors. A sort of comic cheat sheet. The idea was taken from the American military comics "PS" for the maintenance of equipment, weapons and equipment. These comic cheat sheets were first used in the Vietnam War.
    The photos of the OWL that you see were taken in 2009 before the start of the hunting exhibition. To the question of the organizers of the exhibition "and what side of THIS armored car to hunt ???" - we said, but we even have a hunting picture inside!
    Half an hour before that, they removed the doors with comics with cribs for servicing the car (well, and even more so they did not want to show anything unnecessary to competitors at the exhibition ...) and quickly drew a "hunting picture".
