Russia purchased from Belarus an unmanned airship "BAK EM"

58
Belarus has delivered the first unmanned airship BAK EM to Russia, which can be used for aerial reconnaissance and observation missions. The airship was developed at SPC “BAK and Technologies” (Belarus). Work on the creation of an unmanned aircraft class of airships was carried out with the 2010 year, and now begins the delivery of UAVs in Russia. About this with reference to the head of the Scientific and Production Center "BAK" reports Interfax-AVN.

Head of BPC and Technology Research and Production Center Yury Yatsyna:
Shipment to Russia was made last month. It is expected that in 2015, the delivery of complexes of this type will be continued.

At the same time, Yatsyna reports that the tests of the unmanned reconnaissance airship were successfully completed. In this case, it is particularly emphasized that the tests were conducted with the participation of the Russian side, which was the customer of this device.

The unmanned airship "BAK EM" is designed to operate taking into account wind gusts up to 14 m / s. In the original version, the device could perform observation of the terrain at wind speeds up to 8 m / s.

Characteristics of "BAK EM":
length - 8,7 m;
shell diameter - up to 2,63 m;
maximum flight altitude - 0,5 km;
flight speed - up to 60 km / h;
weight - up to 30 kg;
payload (with mainly video equipment and various sensors) - up to 3 kg;
autonomy of work in calm weather - up to 11 hours;
radius of action - to 50 km.

Such an apparatus can be used to control borders, monitor the state of forests for formation of a source of fire, to monitor the progress of military exercises, etc.

        A balloon hangs, the airship just flies actively. Yes, with a payload, of course, a complete bummer, a simple camera, a power supply and a transmitter, and that’s all. In my opinion, UAVs with the same load will be much smaller, cheaper and easier to operate.

          an unmanned aircraft is absolutely CURRENTLY in operation (airships approach water transport in terms of efficiency). In addition, the airship can be in the air much longer than a drone.

        More carrying capacity - more size - more weight - more energy costs to keep it - shorter flight duration.

        In general, it’s a very useful and necessary thing. Observation flights with minimum costs and maximum efficiency. These are observations of sections of the border, road, fire conditions and others. Still, we would know the price, otherwise Belarusians break prices not childishly.

        What will you do to him? There are a bunch of balls inside the inflated ones. Single bullets are not scary. Not only will the position be illuminated (if there is / equipment there), so he will fly back calmly.
        And with 500 meters, you probably don’t need to tell how many kilometers a good view opens?

          As soon as such devices are used everywhere, a modification of some sort of MANPADS or ATGMs with a thermobaric warhead will immediately appear. The height is small, visually visible, any soldier will be able to flinch.

        You can hide in the clouds. It is visible visually, but almost invisible in the infrared range, as far as I know. If you can somehow make it stealth for radars (cover there, maybe change the shape of the balloon a little), you will get a very good scout.

        Actually a very useful thing. The airship is weakly visible on radars, it can be in the air for a long time. Destroy is problematic because the airship is divided into many small compartments.
        And as a carrier of DRLO equipment, communications, radio intelligence and RTR - a very useful thing!

      The defeat of the balloon is a continuous headache in anti-aircraft gunners. Americans in the 50s massively used high-altitude ADS (automatic drifting balloons) for reconnaissance of the territories of the USSR of interest. It quickly became clear that knocking down this bandura was not easy. More precisely, it’s easy to get ... But to drop it to the ground, it’s not even at all. The holes from the airgun shells are scanty, there is practically no gas from there. We tried rod warheads - so the radio fuse does not work as it should, and there is no contact action from the film. Thermobaric ... yes, at an altitude of 11 km there is nothing to burn, the oxygen cat wept. As a result, the pilots received instructions to shoot at the suspension of the balloon, where there was a camera and supporting systems.

        It is even more difficult to hit the balloons now. The fact is that the most advanced of them consist of gates that automatically open when a projectile or rocket approaches and. when they fly through without hitting anything, they close again. The idea of the gate was put forward and first implemented by V.I. Chapaev, when he flew with Petka to fight in Vietnam against the "minke". And for the flight, they adapted an ordinary gate to which they attached an engine from a tractor with a propeller. True, there was also a drawback in this apparatus: the pilots were tired of opening and closing the gates with each air attack. lol

      Well, here’s a ready-made platform for domestic aerostat radars and other means of monitoring the air, sea and ground conditions. This platform is able to reach a given point in the airspace by commands from a remote control unit and automatically compensate for possible balloon displacement along all 3 coordinates. Those. what the doctor ordered. Again, such a bubble allows you to refuse to attach it to the Earth with cables. cables and other harnesses and to transmit data to ground control gears over a wireless data line.
      I'm glad for my fellow countrymen. While others are arguing about the appropriateness of such "bubbles", they are already making them. The main thing is that this product gets to the thinking "eaters"

      Tech Har were designated by the customer. For specific tasks. Cheap, angry, comfortable. No one will carry bombs on it; cameras, infrareds, thermal imaging are supposed to fit. A pair of devices provides almost round-the-clock surveillance.
      Although most likely the battery is changing to a charged one and going up, observe further.
      It is clear that you want bigger, faster and higher ...
      Only here on the belazs no one delivers pizza. Cabinets are not transported on ferarii and pistons.
      Simple and effective for certain purposes, a completely appropriate device.
