The fourth day of the search for the “Russian emergency submarine” has gone, but there are still no results. A number of creative Twitter users managed to declare that the research vessel Professor Logachyov set off to the shores of Sweden to search for a “Russian submarine”. At the same time, users were not embarrassed by the fact that the end point of this vessel’s route was not designated at all by Stockholm, but by Las Palmas (Canary Islands, Spain). And it was hardly worth expecting that such a ship would secretly approach the place of an “accident”.
To help the Swedish servicemen who even decided to use the ground unit to search for an “emergency Russian submarine”, the Russian Defense Ministry advised the Swedes to pay more attention to the Dutch submarines.
A representative of the Ministry of Defense quoted Interfax:
In order to relieve tension in the Baltic Sea and to save money, Swedish taxpayers would recommend seeking clarification from the command of the Netherlands Navy. The fact is that during the past week it was the Dutch diesel-electric submarine “Brainvis” that was working on practical tasks in the immediate vicinity of Stockholm. Including - and elements of an emergency ascent, the photographs of which hit the Swedish press.
It is hoped that this information will help the Swedish Navy to find it on the reverse transition in one of the naval bases in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands submarine is indeed located from the October 17 in the Baltic Sea. Initially, she went to the port of Tallinn to conduct joint exercises. If you pay attention to the fact that the exercises, according to the plan, should continue for about 3 days, then today “Brainvis” (if no real accident happened on its board) should depart back to the military base in the Netherlands.
