The Kalashnikov Concern refutes the information that appeared in the Russian media that allegedly refuses to cooperate with Stephen Seagal. The concern stated that the words that “Kalashnikov” refused to cooperate with an American actor because of the sanctions imposed on Russia have nothing to do with reality.
RIA News quotes the official representative of the Russian arms concern:
At the moment, we really do not have a contract with Steven Seagal, but neither the concern nor the Seagal itself refused (cooperation) because of sanctions from the United States. The concept of the brand has been revised, but we do not exclude the possibility of attracting a brand ambassador.
It is reported that the updated brand of the Kalashnikov concern will be presented in November.
For reference: Steven Seagal is an American actor, in whose career more than fifty different films, including “Under Siege” and “Under Siege 2”, “Ultimate Depth”, “Machete”, “Foreigner”. Steven Seagal claims that his ancestors came to the States from Russia. Seagal is a frequent guest in the Russian Federation. At one time, his candidacy as an advertising person for the Russian arms concern was offered by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
