In the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, they agreed to hold simultaneous elections for deputies of local parliaments and heads of republics. Elections in the DPR and the LPR will be held on the first Sunday of November (2 in November, 2014). Such news shares ITAR-TASS with reference to the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the LPR, Alexei Karyakin.
Alexey Karjakin complains that the republics do not yet have a full-fledged election law, but he also adds that such a law will surely appear soon.
At the same time, the DPR and LPR declared that they are not going to participate in the elections of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada. In Kiev, this step has already been called (quote) "anti-Ukrainian." Is it true that in Kiev they really hoped that Donetsk and Lugansk would take part in voting on candidates for the parliament, given that only those who call the DPR and LNR “terrorist regions” and in fact continue to insist on resolving the issue for the seats in the VRU ?
