At the Leningrad Shipbuilding Plant Pella, 12, September, an event was held on the ceremonial laying of the experimental hydrographic vessel Ladoga (project 11982). The customer is the General Directorate of Deep-Sea Research (GUGI) of the Ministry of Defense of Russia. This is reported by the blog. bmpd.
The ceremony was attended by the head of the State Inspectorate for Oil and Gas Industry Burilich and representatives of industrial enterprises.
According to the publication, "the Ladoga vessel is designed to test special technical equipment, participate in search and rescue operations, and conduct research and oceanographic work." In fact, the construction of the vessel began in July 2013. The delivery of the Ladoga is planned for 2016. Presumably, it will become part of the Baltic fleet. In the future, another ship of the same project will be laid at Pella.
The site says that "Ladoga" is the second ship of the 11982 project and is distinguished by some changes in the project. " The first (“Seliger”) was built by the Yantar Baltic Ship Repair Plant and was transferred to the GUGI at the end of 2012. Now the ship is operated as part of the Black Sea Fleet.
