Gurze-2 (Gurza-2) is a modified version of the Gurze armored car, created for the power structures of Azerbaijan based on the Toyota Hilux 12 off-road vehicle and produced in small lots.

The blog notes that it differs from the previous version of “Gurze-2” with a “remote controlled turret with a night vision device and a machine gun, as well as engine protection”.

Specifications are not specified. It is only known that the car is suitable for operation at ambient temperatures from -32 to 55 С˚. The turret can rotate on 360UM at speeds up to 60 degrees / sec.

It is more interesting how it will be (in -33), in an open salon;).

Why a guided turret in a buggy without doors? This is a more pressing issue. That is, to shoot, you need to turn away from the target to the monitor and try to visit it already. Only one plus if there is a night lamp in the turret, and even that is not obvious.

Nevertheless, you will agree that with such a door in the winter it will be said to the driver that it’s not hot at all even in Azerbaijan and the aim for the sniper is excellent in my opinion, such a door does not protect

There are surely some options for the winter. Specialists are post-Soviet after all. They just started cooking new ones. Behind the cordon. Everything is calculated, don’t worry. There’s also a winter version)). Otherwise, the turret loses any sense there. They will fight from the turret from the inside, without protruding

It’s just that eastern peoples, for some reason, apparently due to genetic memory, use pickups for war, just like their ancestors used war chariots.

Documentary evidence can be obtained from those who were ambushed.

From personal experience, I can say what once saved our group by putting a PC out of the UAZ window, having hit a flank shelling, returned fire and put gas on))) the return fire gave us a few seconds. Those who were sitting in ambush obviously did not wait for this.

based on the Toyota Hilux 12 SUV and manufactured in small batches.

An expensive platform, the final cost will be at least 2,5 times more. Well, the rich have their own quirks.
But there is good news about ATOM: At the international arms exhibition IDEX-2015 in Abu Dhabi, it is planned for the first time to show a fully-Russian Atom infantry fighting vehicle, said Oleg Sienko, director general of the Uralvagonzavod research and production corporation, at the international arms exhibition ADEX-2014.

or something like that, HiLux is obscured. It's just that I'm interested in the issue of crew protection ... No, of course I understand mobility, patency, exclusively patrolling ... But still, the crew is sorry for something ...

Factory "ganjip". All sorts of "cannibals" in Africa do something like that from four-wheel drive pickups.
My personal opinion is that if you put an uninhabited machine-gun tower on an armored car of collection (on the basis of a cornfield), it will turn out to be much cheaper. And maybe more efficiently, there is a roof for the cargo compartment ...
    Z.Y. And the door!

There, the salon is not just shot at, but even blown through.
Why should I book units and assemblies if it's a stupid "convertible" and any, even a stray bullet will mow down the crew?

Omar Salem. There, in addition to the machine gun in the tower, are there still machine guns on the turrets sticking out of windows? According to shots from Libya and other places, such carts are probably used and they have their own niche of application.

This is just understandable - but when booking half the car, the distance turret just loses its meaning, and it has the usual windshield - you don’t have to rely on what will happen, which will fire on the doors or the hood, instead of the crew. bulletproof glass with loopholes.

Partial booking why at all is necessary? The muzzle is armored, it is clear from it that most of the hits, but I strongly doubt that the windshield is armored, judging by the usual photo. Those. it turns out that the crew is not protected from any angle.
About -32, as with +50 sheer nonsense. at minus temperature, even persistent Azerbaijanis will turn into icicles in an open cabin. During the heat, dviglo will most likely overheat in his armored box. So why was it necessary to overload the car with an armor if it provides protection only to the engine, but not to the crew? About shooting from far targets, not convincing. If the enemy is in the firing range, then you are in the same range for the enemy. And getting into the car is easier than getting into a separately buried machine gunner.
