BDK-98 became "Admiral Nevelsky"
July 24, 2011 in Vladivostok, a ceremony was held in honor of the assignment of a large Pacific landing ship fleet Russian Navy BDK-98 of the nominal name "Admiral Nevelskaya". The ship BDK-98 of project 775-II of Polish construction (building number 775/16) was commissioned in 1982. It is tacitly claimed that the name was assigned on the initiative of the “patronizing” ship of the Maritime State University named after G.I. Nevelsky.

Until now, BDK-98 remained the only ship of the Pacific Fleet 775 project series, which did not receive a nominal name. In January 2006, the names Peresvet and Oslyabya were assigned, respectively, to BDK-11 and BDK-101.
