Tanks. Whitman master tank battles

7
Wittman recognized as the most outstanding tank ace of the Second World War. His friends said that Whitman was a very calm person, even in difficult combat situations, and he had a sixth sense that helped him know where and how to destroy the enemy. He had a beautifully crafted crew that could intuitively predict his next order. The authorities highly appreciated and admired Whitman, paying tribute to his merits. Wittman became a real hero who selflessly fought, despite the approaching bitter end of existing Germany.

Yes, dear dred, how can you not read about World War 2 in general and World War II in particular, there are only odds around. The best pilots, the best submariners, the best tankers, etc. etc. A natural question arises: ... why then did our planes land at 45 at Berlin airfields and why did our tanks iron the Berlin streets at 45, and not vice versa! ???

His merits were greatly exaggerated, and some participants from the German side were forgotten

If the army loses the war, then it is quite natural that to raise morale the number of stories about such heroes increases.

1.Kurt Knispel knocked out: as a gunner - 126 (confirmed) enemy tanks (+ 20 unconfirmed). I.e., firing shots personally. As a commander of a heavy tank - 42 enemy tanks (+ about 10 unconfirmed).
The book of FOUR NAMES was presented for rewarding with the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, but never received it. This fact is associated with some properties of his character, with which the military authorities put up because of the high personal effectiveness of the tank ace. In particular, Franz Kurovsky in his book cites a well-known case when Kurt Knispel fought with an Einsatzgruppen officer, standing up for a battered Soviet prisoner of war ...
    2. Martin Schreuf - German tanker ace of the Second World War, Untersturmfuhrer SS. One of the most successful tank aces of World War II, according to unconfirmed reports, destroyed 161 tanks and self-propelled guns
    3. According to various estimates, Carius’s crew destroyed 150 tanks and self-propelled guns and one aircraft.
    4.Ober Lieutenant Belter-144 tanks and self-propelled guns
SS officer Witman does not pull on the best
    But
    1. More than half of the cars they destroyed, fighting on a HEAVY Tiger / Royal Tiger tank.
    2. At the final stage of the war, the Wehrmacht conducted mainly defensive battles.
Do not forget about the preparation of tank crews for up to 6 months, the shortcomings of their vehicles were compensated for by the precise organization of the battle and skillful interaction and the GENERAL (in particular, they often considered the wrecked as destroyed). Karius, for example, reported that his company destroyed 28 Soviet tanks in a battle near Daugavpils. This fact, besides him, is NOT confirmed by anyone.
PS From October 6, 1941 to December 18, Senior Lieutenant Lavrinenko destroyed 52 enemy tanks. By December 5, 1941, when Dmitry Lavrinenko was introduced to the rank of Hero of the Soviet Union, on his battle account there were already 47 tanks destroyed. He died not in a tank from a shell of an enemy tank or anti-tank gun, but from a fragment of a mortar mine, when he set off on foot with a report to the commander of a neighboring tank brigade. That's really - AC!
Honor and glory to the Soviet soldiers who defeated such an enemy.
    GREAT COUNTRY, GREAT VICTORY!

first of all, they were soldiers, and they did not give orders to start a war, they, as befits a good soldier, carried out orders.
