Exposing the “whistleblowers”. About how on the Internet they tried to show Americans humane and Russian egoists

Although this newsTo put it mildly, it is not fully connected with military affairs, issues of national and economic security of the country, "VO" could not ignore its attention. The news concerns, as is now fashionable to say, the “exploding Internet” video (almost 4 million views), in which the authors tried to prove that all Russians are soulless crackers and egoists, and the Americans are the top of universal virtue. The video showed that supposedly in the US (Miami) people on the street are ready to rush to help a person in need, throwing everything, but in Russia (St. Petersburg) no help from passers-by can be expected.
Here is the video from the Rakamakafo project:
This video was immediately taken apart by Russian ultra-liberal publications and blogs in order to show the social differences between the “great democracy” and the “soulless Russia”.
However, the creators of the video exposed. When watching the video, numerous traces of editing on the “Russian” part are striking. One of those who paid attention to this was the St. Petersburg-born Anton Vuyma. In order to verify the data presented by the Rakamakafo project, he himself took to the streets of the Northern capital and conducted a similar experiment. As a result, it turned out that in St. Petersburg there are enough people willing to come to the aid of a person who clearly needs her.
Here is a video from Anton:
And then it turned out that the Rakamakafo project specifically set as its task to make US citizens more civilized and humane. To do this, I had to do installation in Russia and change the city of filming in the USA: they moved from New York to Miami, because in New York the experiment on “humanity” failed with a crash - the passersby didn’t approach the “needy”.
