In the ICRC said that the Russian humanitarian aid goes in the direction of Lugansk, but they do not accompany him

The first KamAZ trucks with Russian humanitarian cargo moved across the territory of Novorossia from the Izvarino checkpoint in the direction of Lugansk. This information was confirmed by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov. At the same time, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross said they would not accompany the humanitarian cargo for security reasons. Reports about it RIA News.
From the official ICRC microblog to Twitter:
Russian humanitarian convoy moves through the territory of Ukraine. We do not accompany the convoy due to the unstable security situation.
At the same time, the ICRC states that fighting continues in Lugansk, shots and explosions of large-caliber ammunition are heard.
A couple of days ago, representatives of the Red Cross declared that they would instruct the drivers of Russian KAMAZ vehicles regarding the observance of the necessary safety requirements when moving as a part of a convoy around the zone where military operations are taking place. Apparently, the ICRC considered that instructing KamAZ drivers was sufficient, and participation in escorting the cargo by the Red Cross employees themselves was superfluous.
In the Ukrainian media about this a new discussion flares up. Regular hotheads claim that it was Russia that did not allow the ICRC to accompany the cargo. In Kiev, they are indignant about the fact that Russia sent humanitarian aid without waiting for direct permission from the "authorities" of Ukraine
What, did not have time to mine the road? ..
