Aviation celebration dedicated to the 80 anniversary of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation plant
16 August 2014 of the year on the territory of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur branch of the Sukhoi Company branch of the Aviation Plant named after Yu.A. Gagarin was the celebration of the 80 anniversary of the enterprise.
Today KnAAZ is the largest Russian aircraft building enterprise. At various times, the following aircraft left its workshops: P-6, IL-4, Li-2, MiG-15, MiG-17, Su-7B, Su-17, Su-27, Su-30, Su-33, Be -103, C-80. Currently, the factory in the framework of the state defense order is mass production of Su-35 fighters and work on the program PAK FA T-50. The civil aviation sector is represented by Superjet-100 aircraft.
The entrance to the plant was opened through the gates of a military unit from 9 hours, local time. In view of the large number of people wishing to get to the airline, a large crowd formed in front of the gate and the passage was difficult. For some reason only one door leaf was open.
Along the runway, celebration organizers presented various aviation equipment.
These were mainly Su aircraft: Su-17UM, Su-24М, Su-25, Su-27, Su-30, Su-35, С-80, Superjet-100, but except for "Su" there were: a seaplane Be-103, MiG-31 interceptor, helicopters: Ka-52 and Mi-8МТШ.
In some aircraft, most likely in those which are no longer destined to take to the air, free access to the cockpit was organized. For the sake of this opportunity lined up an impressive queue of children and adults.
The flight program due to weather conditions began with some delay. The demonstration flights involved fighters: Su-27CM3, Su-30, Su-35. Which were piloted by factory test pilots, combatant pilots from the air regiment and pilots from the center of combat use of Lipetsk. We are building at low altitude a few Su-24М front-line bombers, based as well not far from Komsomolsk at the Khurba airfield.
In addition to combat vehicles, the Mi-8 helicopters and the An-2 aircraft flew into the air. With these machines, parachutists were reset.
