Commentators, social activists and unreported journalists continue to curse the cannibal dictatorial laws of January 16, although the text of the new code is already available to everyone who is curious. Against this background, the miserable attempts of the dictator and usurper Yanukovych to streamline the situation in the country by at least minimally correcting the criminal wrestlers that emerged at that time look like helpless childish plays.
The Sanctions Act certainly set the agenda, and one would expect an explosion of human rights indignation from hundreds of non-motivated organizations that declared an irreconcilable struggle for European values and human rights for the generous bounty of our democracy’s sponsors. Silence. Everyone is happy.
Of course, I am not a lawyer, and I do not pretend to have a legal analysis of the document, but questions arise immediately, literally from the preamble, which says that

And then the entire further text of the law is directed just at the severe infringement of these rights and freedoms, and above all, the denial of the fundamental principle of modern law - the presumption of innocence. Any citizen, being suspected of committing a series of actions that are difficult to formalize, because they are described purely assessed, without a clear indication of the criteria, rather emotionally than substantively, may be subject to very tough and extensive property sanctions, including extrajudicial expropriation of property.
We talked for so long about the establishment of a law-based state that provides a citizen with the protection of his rights and freedoms precisely in court, with a guaranteed opportunity to defend against the charges, so that during the year of independence, it turned out that all this is a fiction that can be canceled by simple voting in the Rada.
Those who voted for this mass of sanctions are confident that the law has been adopted in full compliance with the Constitution and international legal documents. But I submitted that something like that would have been accepted by some other state - not from the number of new favorite friends of curators of Ukraine. Mmmm, this is where our best human rights forces would rise from the figurative coffin, this is where we would hear such an alarm that we would reach the far corners of the universe, this would be a trizn on the crimes of the monstrous Moloch devouring its children, or how they like to formulate the Russian liberal party in a beautiful way.
That is, in Ukraine, the sanctions offered the most formidable, not to say cannibalistic, but heaven did not fall to the ground. All this could be perceived if martial law was declared in the country, but no — the rest of Ukraine, besides the ATO zone, walks, eats, drinks, enjoys, celebrates, paints bridges and fences in patriotic colors.
Before the vote, the law on sanctions was somewhat softer - the provision banning political parties and closing the media was removed. By the principle - let's first take everything and stifle everything, and then return the dime, and the person will be happy that he has something to buy a ticket on the tram. However, my questions are clearly outdated and do not keep up with the progress of our loud-boiling life, in which moral and legal relativism triumphed. Here, if only it didn’t get to the favorite question “Gry, but we’re for it ?!”, and the rest of the society of the victorious democracy, human rights and freedoms formed a consensus, enshrined in the described laws.
At this moment it is very important to give people spectacles, because with bread in the broad sense of the word, things are sadder. Tariffs, prices, the dollar. Ahead of the winter without heat, and perhaps even light. The ingenious call of the intellectual mayor of Kiev, Klitschko, to stock up on boilers and heaters has crashed about the harsh truth of life - it is likely that boilers and heaters will have nowhere to stick, and Vitaly Vladimirovich’s eloquence is hardly enough to warm everyone. And suddenly such mercy. But again, not without piquant details. Help is being taken to Starobelsk, and where it comes from, God knows. Something tells me that they are not in the houses of the suffering Luhansk citizens. Neither a specific recipient is specified, nor — most importantly, the administrator, nor the responsible person. Transparency is our everything, we remember.
