"Uralvagonzavod" will present promising developments at the international forum in Zhukovsky
Corporation "Uralvagonzavod" (UVZ) became a participant in the third International Forum "Engineering Technology-2014", which opened today in Zhukovsky. About this agency REGNUM reported in the press service of the UVZ.
According to the press service, the general director of the corporation Oleg Sienko will take an active part in the business program of the forum. In addition, UVZ will present to the participants a number of promising developments of several plants of the Special Equipment Division.
The report states that "products intended for the military, will be shown both in the form of models and full-scale samples." Among them is a “full-size mock-up of a heavy wheeled BMP ATOM, developed by specialists of the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute Burevestnik, together with French colleagues from Renault Trucks Defense.”
The BMP has a high maneuverability and is intended for transporting personnel of motorized rifle subunits, "conducting combat from a machine and fire support of dismounted shooters." The number of seats - 11, maximum speed - up to 100 km / h. Armament: automatic cannon with a rate of fire of about 140 rounds per minute, firing range - up to 6 km.
