For the past few months, all we have heard is that the seaside resorts of the Odessa region should become a worthy replacement for Crimea. The first private train to Odessa has already been launched so that those who wish can travel comfortably. Hotels offer tempting discount programs. The idea of rest in Odessa began to take hold of the masses. But here the patriots intervened. Massacre at Ani Lorak's concert, NSDC statement on flights drones over the Odessa region, a huge ditch that is being dug on the border with Transnistria - all this is an excellent anti-advertising for our last major resort. And then there are the rumors about the "southwestern front". Well, he’s in the ATO, such a vacation ...
Ever since the nightmare conflagration, May 2 in Odessa was restless, although they tried not to show this. Over the disco, beaches and restaurants, the sword of Damocles hung a hunch of a new disaster. And all this was generously seasoned with alarming the news.
A month ago, it became known that on the border of the Odessa region and Transnistria, the State Border Service is digging an anti-tank ditch with a length of 450 km, a width of three and a half meters and a depth of three meters. For what? In order to "block the possible entry of heavy military equipment from the territory of a foreign state." In short, they are preparing for war on the Odessa front.
Who is the enemy? The enemy, of course, is Russia, but the danger itself comes from Transnistria. Residents of an unrecognized but quite viable republic (we would have roads like theirs!) Consider Russia their second homeland. Many receive pensions there, every second in Russia has relatives. It is Transnistria that gives a significant percentage of volunteers for the DPR. There is a well-established system: volunteers are considered seconded to the service and according to the documents they are on an “internship in Russia”, they are constantly charged for service in the Cossacks, so families do not need. What can not be said about our patriots, who have driven away to war for their homeland, and soon discovered that their homeland was wiping their feet on them.
But to think that Transdniestrian volunteers are complete idiots and get to the Donbass in transit through Odessa, only our “sofa generals” can. Based on this silliest conclusion, they strengthened the border control and ordered to dig the notorious moat. To technology, then, did not pass.
In the newest stories Ukraine's “Transnistrian ditch” has become one of the “black holes” of corruption, where huge sums of budget money are flying, and where they dissolve irrevocably. What is the secret of focus?
ONE digging machine is working on digging a moat. During the elapsed time, it became clear that in the given parameters, the moat will be digging up to the 2016 beach season of the year: the car runs approximately 2,5-3 km a week. At the same time for the day "eats" about 840 liters of fuel. Part of this volume is provided by the state from the reserves of the State Border Service. The rest is purchased with money collected by volunteers. As a result, the ditch will cost 8,2 mln. Since the money from the border guards is already running out, and the volunteers depressed, the moat decided to cut to 300 km. Like, and this is enough.
True, the sense of such a moat is that there is milk from the goat, especially considering that the “enemy” is inside the resort zone: there are many ideological separatists among ordinary Odessans and residents of the region. Not in the sense that they want to create an independent Odessa republic. They just do not like the bloodshed in the Donbas. And this, according to our prosecutor's concepts, is terry separatism.
Apparently, in order to further irritate the people, the command of the Ukrainian Navy decided to conduct military exercises in Bessarabia with the involvement of marines and armored vehicles aviation. The one that still survived in the anti-terrorist operation zone and was not understaffed by "nonsuns" at defense plants.
The newspaper Vesti, referring to its source in the Ministry of Defense, writes that conducting exercises in Bessarabia is aimed not only at fighting coordination of the marines withdrawn from the Crimea, but also at demonstrating power. “In the region, many believe that Odessa has actually turned into the lair of the Right Sector, and they will also soon arrive. In order to calm the population a little, the Marines, simple Russian-speaking guys, were sent to Bessarabia. To some extent it is a “muscle game”.
However, the game did not work with muscles, because upon closer examination, it was not possible to detect working equipment. I had to turn to friends from NATO for help (not to be confused with the ATO). And soon information appeared in social networks that unloading took place in the Odessa port tanks from the ship. They say that NATO transfers to Ukraine the remaining Eastern European countries weapon Soviet-made, lying in warehouses of Romania and Hungary.
Unlike our "antiques", this technique was kept carefully and looks like new. Hence the rumors that NATO soldiers landed in the port of Odessa, and even with the latest armored vehicles.
However, to get to the bottom of the truth, what kind of equipment and why travel around the resort spaces of the Odessa region, the people have no desire. However, the video passing through the streets of Belgorod-Dniester column of military equipment of the Ukrainian army, laid out in "Vkontakte", optimism, to put it mildly, does not add.

The attackers also prepared to destroy the buildings of the military commissariats in Odessa. ” Will you then go on a comfortable private train with lunch boxes and wi-fi to please you as fragments or a blast wave from some bank?
Of course, they shoot around in Ukraine. That in the house of Lviv mayor, then at the Kharkov Armored Plant. It is in the center of Kiev, on Shevchenko Boulevard, when two groups of patriots — the right ones (the Kiev-1 battalion, which goes to the front line) and the wrong ones (the Right Sector) —share the roof over the barbecue café. But in Odessa they can shoot precisely. Just like in the Donbass. It discourages many. Not incidentally, the mentioned battalion "Kyiv-1" served for several months exactly here, by the sea, and not in the ATO zone. But it is, by the way.
As usual, the season does not do without environmental problems. To the usual summer E. coli, without which (as well as without closing the beaches due to increased pollution) Odessa is not Odessa, “oil threats” were added.
In connection with the arrest of the Odessa Refinery in the case of VETEK (Turchinov’s entourage allegedly wanted to nationalize, but he did not succeed) 67 tons of oil accumulated in the tanks of the plant. I must say that the refinery is built to produce gasoline, and not to store it. The refinery is not a tank farm. Therefore, the presence on its territory of a large amount of petroleum products carries a potential threat to the ecology of Odessa.
The funny thing is that the oil was arrested because it allegedly is evidence in the case in which Sergey Kurchenko appears. But the oil itself is tolled and belongs to a third party, i.e. VETEK has no relation to the group. Heat, fire situation, and here - such a time bomb.
By the way, with the property of the favorites of the former government in Odessa, as well as in the whole country, there are also problems, and they also frighten off tourists. For example, around the Odessa market "7 kilometer" the war continues, part of which was an unconfirmed report about the searches of the offices of Ivan Avramov in Ilyichevsk. About this on his Facebook page said the chief editor of "Espresso TV" Vadim Denisenko.
As you know, the former co-owner of the market operator "7-th kilometer" Denis Voloshin is now trying through court to get control over the market, which for the last four years has been in the orbit of the interests of deputies Ivanyushchenko and Avramova. In this regard, Odessans very timidly go to the legendary market, each time fearing to be in the center of a raider seizure and get a metal bar on the head.

At the same time, the hetman’s namesake did not explain why 1 August in Odessa was performed by the Russian singer Polina Gagarin, Timati and several other Russian stars were in front of her, and they didn’t interfere with any of them: there were no fights and riots. Apparently, the team arrived later. From whom and why? Same question.

As reported by the National Security and Defense Council Information and Analytical Center, July 30 border guards recorded flights of three Russian unmanned aerial vehicles in the Kotovsky region, which carried out reconnaissance flights over the border and the military checkpoint of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier, in mid-July, an unmanned reconnaissance aircraft circled over the zero kilometer of the Danube near Vilkovo for several days.
In addition to the Russian enemy, we also have an enemy from NATO. A member of NATO, Romania, for some reason, is accumulating troops at the borders with the Odessa and Chernivtsi regions. Already seen two reinforced motorized brigade operational deployment. Also in constant combat readiness is a separate battalion of Romanian special forces, previously equipped with 313 number, equipped and equipped according to NATO standards.
Either they are going to help our army to repel the blows of evil separatists, or (most likely) intend to support local separatists who are not averse to shaking the nerves of the Odessa government. In any case, resort visitors will not be bored.
