The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a package of documents to Interpol for the international search of the Ukrainian billionaire Igor Kolomoisky. He writes about it RIA News with reference to the message of the Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika.
“Today we have sent an order to Interpol to declare him on the international search and confirm his intention to demand arrest and extradition if he establishes his whereabouts on the territory of Interpol member countries”
said the attorney general to correspondents.
Many media call Kolomoisky one of the main sponsors of the "euromaidan". He was repeatedly accused of financially supporting the radical group “Right Sector” and the battalion “Azov”, which took part in the punitive operation in the south-east of Ukraine. According to the statement by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, the militants of the battalion played the leading role in the June attack on the Russian Embassy in Kiev.
The Russian Investigative Committee opened several criminal cases against the oligarch, accusing him of "organizing murder, using prohibited means and methods of warfare, kidnapping people, as well as obstructing the activities of a journalist."
According to the magazine "Forbes", Kolomoisky has a fortune of $ 1,8 billion and occupies the fourth line in the list of the richest citizens of Ukraine.
