OJSC IEMZ Kupol will present at the exhibition “The Day of Innovations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation” the air defense system of the Tor family and the technology for producing metal-carbon nanocomposites
Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol will present on the Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the Alabino test site in the Moscow region the models of the Tor-M2K, Tor-M2E and Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile systems in a modular version on the automotive chassis and semitrailer, as well as a unique technology for the industrial production of metal-carbon nanocomposites for the modification of composite materials.
The Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is held for the second time. This year, its format has been significantly expanded, it is carried out in three stages in 3 different cities: St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Moscow. In addition, exhibitors and visitors are invited to an extensive business program, including round tables, which will discuss current problems and promising areas of development of the domestic defense industry.
The end of the exhibition this year will be the World Championship in Tank Biathlon - 2014, in which crews from 13 countries will take part. It is noteworthy that 11 participating countries have decided to compete on Russian equipment, tanks T-72B. Competitions of this level will be held for the first time, international tank biathlon competitions were held in August 2013, crews from 4 countries took part in them, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu was present at the competition.
The specialized exhibition is held for a professional audience and involves the demonstration of promising ideas and developments of the industry and the military-industrial complex in order to stimulate innovation in the domestic defense industry, as well as to increase the effectiveness of the activities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In 2014, JSC IEMZ Kupol will again take part in the exhibition and present its advanced developments on it, including models from the new generation of combat short-range air defense systems of the Tor family and unparalleled technology for producing metal-carbon nanocomposites in the world.
The Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system (ZRK) effectively fights at short range with all types of existing means of air attack, including low-flying, actively maneuvering, small-sized as well as stealth-based, and has no analogues among Russian and foreign ZRK in its class. The high degree of automation allows you to detect and rank the danger of 48 targets. Compared with the previous version of the Tor-M1 air defense system, the number of guided missiles simultaneously firing at targets increased from 2 to 4, the target detection range (from 25 to 32 km) and the defeat range (from 12 to 15 km) increased by more than a quarter ).
Proof of appreciation and confidence from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to military equipment produced by IEMZ Kupol is the participation of two batteries of eight Tor-M2U air defense systems in the Victory Parade on Red Square 9 in May 2014 of the year.
The Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile system in a modular design is a new development of JSC Concern PVO Almaz-Antey and JSC IEMZ Kupol, which has high reliability and efficiency. The complex is equipped with modern computing facilities and radar. According to the combat characteristics, it is absolutely similar to the Tor-M2 and Tor-M2K air defense missile systems. The modular version provides for the possibility of placing an autonomous combat module on the roofs of buildings and structures, on hard-to-reach sites, trailers, semi-trailers, on railway platforms and even on low-tonnage vessels capable of withstanding loads of more than 20 tons. The module design provides transportation on the external suspension of the MI-26T helicopter and its analogues.
Since 2007, the company has a research and innovation center, which includes a research laboratory and an experimental site equipped with modern domestic and foreign equipment. During this time, the staff of the Scientific Innovation Center together with Izhevsk State Technical University named after MT Kalashnikov developed a unique technology for producing metal-carbon nanocomposites. The laboratory of the center owns a unique technology for the chemical production of nanomaterials, protected by four patents for invention. The technology has no analogues in the world and allows to obtain ultra-active metal-carbon nanocomposites.
Fine-dispersed suspensions based on metal-carbon nanocomposites are used as a modifier of adhesives, compounds, sealants, binders. Materials made with their use have chemical-physical and mechanical characteristics that are much higher than the original. It is also possible widespread use of materials modified with metal-carbon nanocomposites in the manufacture of military equipment. At the moment, the center is already cooperating with many defense enterprises, including JSC Votkinsky Machine-Building Plant (Votkinsk), JSC VIAM (Moscow), JSC NPO Iskra (city Perm), JSC NPO "Fiberglass" (Zelenograd).
The exhibition will feature samples of materials manufactured using metal-carbon nanocomposites. More detailed information about the technology, the form of products, applications and research can be obtained on the website and from consultants at the company's stand.
The Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will be held from 4 to 5 in August of 2014 at the Alabino test site in the Moscow region. A week after the end of the exhibition, from 13 to 17 in August 2014, an international forum “Engineering Technologies” will be held in the town of Zhukovsky near Moscow, where JSC IEMZ Kupol will present a full-scale sample of the autonomous simulator of the commander and operator 9Ф678М. The exhibition will feature a cool version of the simulator designed to train and train a combat vehicle to work on detecting, capturing, tracking and hitting targets in jamming and noiseless environments, as well as controlling the quality of the calculation in classroom conditions. Visitors will be given a unique opportunity to observe the work of the commander and the operator of a combat vehicle, and even try themselves in this role.
