UIC Presented Aviation Communications Developments at Farnborough International - 2014

The upgraded C-108 communication complexes for Su-35 aircraft of the 4 ++ generation provide the incorporation of aircraft into the circuit of the military automated control system, as well as informational interaction in all communication systems used by the air force.
“They implemented interference-free operation modes, increased the power of the decameter-band transmitter, the number of simultaneously operating data transmission channels,” said Alexander Kalinin, director of the United Instrument Corporation department. “The capacity of radio links has significantly increased, the delivery time has been shortened, and the reliability of received messages has been increased under conditions of electronic countermeasures.”
Another exhibition model, the communication complex for C-404 aircraft, is intended for installation on the Ka-62 helicopter manufactured by Kamov and other types of aircraft.
“The complex has a number of advantages in comparison with similar developments,” says Boris Poplavsky, a representative of the enterprise developer. - It is equipped with an integrated antenna system that has high efficiency and provides the necessary range and quality of communication. In the modification of the communication complex for civilian aircraft, new international requirements are implemented by software in terms of the modes of operation of radio communication equipment: HFDL, VDL-2, VDL-4, SELCALL. For the military modification of the complex, software and hardware encryption algorithms for data and voice information are implemented. ”
The exhibition also features aviation AT-E information exchange system terminal, which is designed to solve communication, navigation and recognition tasks. The terminal is part of the control system for various facilities, primarily aviation. With its help, the interaction of aircraft between themselves and with ground objects is organized. The terminal implements network technologies for information exchange and, in terms of its characteristics, corresponds to foreign counterparts, including the JTIDS / MIDS system, which is used by US and NATO forces.
In addition, the "OPK" presented at the exhibition ground-based air communication complex NKVS-27. Its purpose is the command-information interaction of ground control stations with aircraft via radio channels of voice communication and data exchange channels. According to the developers, with the help of NKVS-27, a single information space with aviation means is created, automated management of command, control and registration of flight missions using noise-resistant and crypto-protected radio channels is ensured, which increases the efficiency of aviation use.
