After 5 July (the retreat of the militia from Slavyansk) the nature of the hostilities has changed dramatically. This can be judged even by the few scraps of information that comes from the fronts of civil war. Igor Strelkov, having escaped into the operational space, really changed the tempo rate of military operations. It went real mesilovo. And note that no one even remembers the “imposition of martial law in certain areas of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions”. ATO is already in the past. There are full-scale hostilities that no longer fit into the idiotic abbreviation of ATO. In just one day - July 11, according to the "press center" of the antiterrorist operation, the death of the security forces 47 was recognized. In particular, as Zoryan Shkiryak writes (the same one from the Maidan), only as a result of the shelling by the insurgents of the ATO forces in the area of the Zelenopolye village of the Sverdlovsk region, more than thirty people died. Shkiryak, judging by the post, is clearly hysterical. The generalized conclusion is as follows: the plan of the General Staff, agreed with the supreme commander and providing for the completion of the “liberation of Donetsk and Lugansk” by July 12, failed. They thought that after the taking of Slavyansk and the defeat of the “terrorist group Strelkov”, the offensive would develop with lightning speed. Demoralized separatists in a panic will hide in Donetsk, where they will be prey to the "fifth column". The city will simply be surrendered, and the army general, practically Field Marshal Geletey, clutching a tightly sealed pen, will report on his readiness to hoist the Ukrainian flag over the Donetsk regional state administration. But everything turned out differently. At least three large groups of anti-terrorist operation forces are surrounded (two at megalopolis airports, one is locked by a narrow isthmus between Saur-Mogila and the Russian border). Clearly brewing events that could mean a turning point in the fighting.
Fighting go on updated schemes. The explosions of railway tracks and bridges are combined with a mine war. Until recently, mines in such quantities were not used. The border with Russia is still not closed, although in my memory this was stated at least eleven times.
This is with regard to events on the main, southeastern front. But in the last three days, the second front of the ATO has clearly emerged. For the time being, it is conditionally PR, and military operations are conducted in the style of information warfare. Involved "fans" of a large television caliber, which is actively attacked quickly hastily developed media shit - "Inter" and "pluses". "Inter" in the plain, purely propaganda style wets the Dnipropetrovsk governor Igor Kolomoisky. The “pros” respond with rare volleys to the encirclement of the current president, transparently hint at the inability of the commander in chief to destroy the “terrorists” and position Kolomoisky as the main liberator of Ukraine.
Familiar with the methods of the group "Hello" from zero years. I can say with confidence: the chances of resisting the new Kiev authorities are very insignificant. The guys act with the utmost cynicism and sophistication, while managing to grow rich rapidly.
