Soyuz launch vehicle with Meteor-M satellite launched from Baikonur cosmodrome

“The launch was successfully carried out at 19.58 Moscow time from the launch complex of the 31-th site of the Baikonur cosmodrome,” the press service reported.

It is noted that the upper stage separated from the launch vehicle at 20.07 Moscow time, continuing “the launching of satellites into the target orbit in accordance with the flight timeline”.

The first to go into orbit was the remote sensing satellite "Meteor-M" number 2, then alternately other ICA.

The meteorological satellite "Meteor-M" number 2 is the second device of the complex of meteorological and oceanographic support "Meteor-3М". The first Meteor-M was launched into 17 September 2009 orbit.

The main purpose of "Meteor-M" 2 number is the operational acquisition of global hydrometeorological data for weather forecasting, monitoring the radiation situation and the ozone layer, monitoring the sea surface.

The satellite’s mass is 2778 kilogram, its payload is 1250 kilogram. The term of active work of the device is five years.

In addition to Meteor-M, the Relek spacecraft of the Lavochkin Scientific Production Association, the first private spacecraft DX1, produced by Dauria Aerospace, as well as other ICAs belonging to the United States, Norway and the United Kingdom, was put into orbit.

      Well, thank God! Started ...

And someone tried to crack after the "Summer Review ..." ...
And "Soyuz" cannot be otherwise. In my memory, only in 1996, one fell, and that - because of the breakdown of the head fairing. And I don’t remember anymore ...

as well as other US-owned ICAs,

This is probably under the old contracts. Or something else? And then it would be worth revising the cost of such services!

Our Union is certainly Power, "can" a lot, but the last paragraph spoiled the mood a little, namely
as well as other ICAs belonging to the USA, Norway and the UK.
I would like more "belonging to Russia, Russia and Russia", and the launch of the American satellite from the trampoline again ended in undershoot. "Something like this.

Russia assembled the world's first TVEL for a space power plant

At Mashinostroitelny Zavod OJSC in Elektrostal, Moscow Region, specialists assembled the first standard design fuel element (TVEL) for a space nuclear electric propulsion system (NED). This was reported by the press service of the Rosatom State Corporation. The chief designer of the reactor installation is NIKIET OJSC.

The work is carried out within the framework of the project "Creation of a transport and energy module based on a megawatt class nuclear power unit." According to the director and general designer of NIKIET OJSC, Yuri Dragunov, according to the plan, the nuclear power plan should be ready in 2018.

“In terms of the reactor installation, in terms of the scope of work of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, everything is going according to plan, in accordance with the roadmap,” said Dragunov. It is planned to use nuclear propulsion systems for long-distance space flights and long-term work in orbit. In particular, the creation of this installation will dramatically reduce the time period required for the Martian expedition.

The YaEDU project was approved in 2009 by the Presidential Commission on Modernization and Technological Development of the Russian Economy. Outline design was completed by 2012.

"And he said it was good."
Let's hope that it will continue to be no worse.
After all, in order to reliably predict the weather even for a month ahead, it is necessary to launch at least a dozen more “Meteors”.

And I in Sverdlovsk even wanted to watch a rocket fly over us, but it was very cloudy, I didn’t see it.
Some blocks of a rocket should have fallen in our region’s north, we’ve put bans in the forest - they’re not allowed into the forest.
The announcement of the launch was given in advance on the main city portal e1.ru
