The Ufa MPO, which is a structural unit of the United Engine Corporation (UEC), formed the Directorate of the Advanced Engine for PAK FA program, which received the bulk of the powers to manage the engine development project for the 5 generation fighter. The head of the Directorate was Yevgeny Marchukov, chief designer of the OKB Design Bureau. A.M. Cradles - a branch of the Ufa association. This was reported on its website by the company. Rosteh.

Ufa MPO - the head developer of the engine for the fifth generation aircraft

According to one of the leaders of UMPO Alexander Artyukhov, today “the program for creating an engine for a promising front-line aviation complex aviation (PAK FA) is one of the most high-tech in Russian industry. ” The work will be built "based on the gate system." For each period, “key milestones with clear goals and objectives” will be identified.

The Ufa association received the status of the head developer of the engine for the PAK FA in November 2013 after the technical project was defended before the commission of the Ministry of Defense. Currently, the company is preparing for the manufacture of the engine demonstrator.

According to the site, most of the design elements of the new fighter is produced at Rostec enterprises. The power plant is being developed by the UEC designers. Lantern cockpit and plating engaged in the holding "RT-Chemcomposite." Avionics and on-board radio electronics of the 5 generation aircraft are being created by the concern Radio Electronic Technologies.

I agree! Americans only on their 5th generation Raptor installed an engine equal to ours, which is on the Su-37 4th generation, I can imagine that it will be on the T-50! Fire in general.

This is the first stage engine. So to speak, the original layout ("product 117"). This is a modified version of the AL-41F1S engine for the Su-35. Shown at Le Bourget. Now in "Saturn" they are optimizing the engine's gas generator. And in Ufa, a second stage engine ("type 30") is assembled from scratch. Installation of the second stage engine will significantly increase the speed characteristics of the aircraft, since the thrust and throttle response will increase, in addition, the engine will be lighter.

UMPO will manage a promising engine program for PAK FA

June 26, AEX.RU - A new unit is formed at the Ufa Motor-Industrial Production Association - the Directorate of the Advanced Engine for PAK FA Program. It has received most of the authority to manage the fifth-generation fighter project. The structure was headed by the general designer and director of the branch of OKB im. A. Lyulki »UMPO Evgeny Marchukov, the press service of the enterprise reports.

"Now, when the PD program for PAK FA enters the phase of development work, we need a body to manage the process of creating a product at all stages of the life cycle," explained UMPO Managing Director Alexander Artyukhov. “The PD program for PAK FA is one of the most high-tech in of today's Russian industry, this is a science-intensive and resource-intensive project. The mechanism for working on a product is created on the basis of a gate system: key milestones will be determined with clear goals and objectives for each period. In general, we will be guided by the rules of project management, which is currently being introduced in the association " ...

The transfer of UMPO control of the fifth-generation engine program is predetermined by the leading role of the Ufa enterprise and its “Engines for Combat Aviation” division in its work on this project. In 2013, UMPO received the status of the lead developer of PD for PAK FA, and in the same year the production of experimental engines for the T-50 of the first stage - products 117 was completely concentrated here (previously the association produced them in cooperation with NPO Saturn OJSC). In November 2013, the technical design project for the PAK FA, created in cooperation with the design teams of the DBA division under the leadership of OKB named after A. Lyulka, was defended by a commission of the customer, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In 2014, UMPO was appointed the lead manufacturer of prototypes of parts and engine assembly units.

Currently, UMPO and its branch OKB them. A. Cradles are preparing for the manufacture of the first PD demonstrator for PAK FA, also specified in UMPO.

In fact, the term "engine demonstrator", in the old way, means the first working sample, or the first pre-production prototype. Those. the first fully-loaded engine is assembled, operable with the specified parameters of the technical specification, all materials and technologies for the production of the engine are available, tested and ready for transfer to the series. At the same time, the series (production) m. not quite ready for development: operational technologies are not established and some lines are missing.
For example, for the Tu-160 production engine during the years of perestroika-shootout, the lost-wax casting technology of turbine blades was lost, more precisely, the line. And it’s still not restored - there are no personnel (they left for another world), the machines are written off ... The restoration is planned in a completely different place - in the Center for the Consolidation of Casting Technology for Lost Wax Castings for the entire aircraft industry. The launch of the plan, after a few years ...

The correct statement of the topic ... and in general the right direction ... we must rely on full import substitution for all types of arms and military equipment and develop our high-tech production. And in combination, this stimulates the training of personnel and the increasing role of education.

You need to be careful to comment on such articles ...... From the very beginning, the first PAK-FA samples were tested on existing engines (I am not a pilot, I am not particularly oriented in aircraft engines, I don’t know much about the brand). ... and immediately stated that the engines on production cars would be new! ......... And to test the glider, radar, electronic warfare, weapons and the like, the old engines do not interfere ............

Only it will be necessary to VERY quickly run. Already by 2017, Americans are planning to create engines of the 6th generation, ADVENT are adaptive 3 contour motors with blades made of ceramic matrix composites with an effective temperature of up to 2400K, and this will be almost a chapel for the Brighton cycle.
And if they succeed then the 7th generation of engines will be completely different.

And from the good wink recently on June 24, when taking off, the F-35A caught fire, so the first serious incident can be said. How badly damaged the F-35 is still unknown.
        Pilo was not injured.

I live in Ufa myself. At UMPO, mostly "old people" work, young people are reluctant, the salary is small (20-25 sput), and the plant is considered unpretentious. BUT, due to this, the prime cost of the engines is much less than that of the Moscow head Saturn.
