“Poroshenko’s plan for the South-East is an American trap for us”

For representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, such approaches are unacceptable.
- Petro Poroshenko announced his proposals for resolving the conflict in Ukraine. Poroshenko’s plan is an American trap for us. At least, I think so, although opinions on this subject may be different. Yes, the document has some correct points - for example, the idea of decentralization of power in Ukraine. However, it still comes to mind historical a joke that there are ten reasons for the inability to shoot a gun. The first reason is the lack of gunpowder, which means that all other reasons are already losing their meaning.
So Poroshenko said that he refused to negotiate "with those who shot at the Ukrainian military," and, therefore, all other things in his plan lose their meaning. For representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, such approaches are unacceptable, because it is a dictate and, in fact, a demand to surrender, and not an offer to negotiate.
But according to the form of the proposal, Poroshenko is served as a peace plan: the document itself is advertised in this way, and this is how it is estimated by the Western media. The parties that must accept or reject this plan are Western representatives and representatives of Russia; Poroshenko himself is also a participant in the negotiations, but not the leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics.
After the introduction of sanctions Russia will have nothing to lose
Poroshenko pretends that he declared a truce not with the defenders of the Lugansk and Donetsk republics, but with Russia, and if the plan is not implemented, then Russia will be blamed for this! Then sanctions will be applied to Moscow, but there is one point about which, in my opinion, those who threaten us with these sanctions are not very thoughtful. Yes, we are accustomed to a certain structure of consumption, and it will not be easy for us. Yes, our industry buys imported machines, components, parts, devices, construction equipment and so on. But no one will fight with us, and after the imposition of sanctions Russia will have nothing to lose, and, in fact, Moscow will receive a blank check on any decisive actions.
In Iraq, the West has already “unexpectedly” experienced problems, just as “unexpectedly” problems can arise in Afghanistan and in other parts of the world. Let's see if the representatives of the West have enough sober mind in the matter of sanctions. In turn, Moscow should maintain a balance between the behavior of the authorities and the way the actions of our authorities are served in the state-run media. Either the hard tone in the media should correspond to the steps of Moscow, or there should be no such tone at all. There is a lot of talk about the example of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, but I would caution against direct analogies. Moreover, the parallel with Transnistria is not suitable: the rebels of Lugansk and Donetsk do not control the entire territory and do not even control all the state bodies.
As for the Ukrainian authorities, it seems to her that they have a shortage of gas and money, but in fact the main deficit is the lack of independence, that is, the very “independence” for which they are “fighting” so loudly in Ukraine. While the Ukrainian government will act in the interests of the overseas uncle, there will be nothing good in Ukraine.
