Grief under fire

... Near the monument to soldiers, "Afghans" at the entrance to the monastery of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. In order, it means, to mark the position with the procession, with God in the soul and the memory of those who officially fought and died last. For the country. And beyond.
However, as it turned out and as expected, no one was going to stop the fire. Neither on the day of this announcement, nor on the Day of Tribulation, June 22. On this day, an anti-war rally was also held in Donetsk, where they were escorted to the war. On all the same, on civil. As in 1941 in Moscow, militiamen took the oath and went straight to the trenches - to defend their homes from the "stitching of the country", which Kiev has so far get best only with machine-gun bursts.
And in Kiev, the rally “Stop the war!”, On the one hand, was declared a provocation, the purpose of which was to substitute pro-Russian activists under the blows of attack aircraft and militants of the Maidan. On the other hand, the maydauns really threw the cry "Beat the separatists!", Announced all the protesters with these same "separatists" and came in large quantities to beat them. To beat, and that's it: they are patriots, and in the yard is a racially correct democracy.
Between them, the Kiev police stood up, which was once again completely full. Under the distribution came and the branch of the Russian "Sberbank", and the consular section of the Russian Embassy, which were subjected to shelling with cobblestones and insults.
And in all this was the main paradox: everything seemed to be remembered both in Kiev and in the Donbass that this date - the beginning of World War II should not be forgotten. In no case. For everything can happen again: fascism will lift its head and can easily unleash another war. But on the other hand, it was only in Donetsk and Lugansk that they remembered that the events were connected with each other by an amazing thread stretching from our own stories. The Great Patriotic War began the German Nazis and other fascists. And today's civil war in eastern Ukraine began, including due to the fact that the inhabitants of the region were afraid of the revival of Nazism and fascism in their native country.
It was this revival that was demonstrated at the end of 2013, the beginning of 2014, the so-called “euromaidan”, which ended with a change of power as a result of a coup d'état. And which was driven by militants and attack aircraft of paramilitary ultranationalist structures, leading their ideological lineage, according to them, from the teachings of Stepan Bandera, the leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), who worked closely with the Nazis and was involved in the destruction of civilians.
And now in the east of Ukraine, these neo-Nazi and neo-fascist armed to the teeth structures constitute one of the backbone of the ATO, which, with the support of the regular army, must do away with the “separatists”, “terrorists” and “saboteurs”, in which almost all residents of Donbass were indiscriminately recorded. And, of course, mercilessly doomed to "peace" by stripping.
Such an uncomplicated, but direct connection of history was manifested in independent Ukraine. And the rally at Lavra, as the organizers said, was supposed to show that "in Kiev, not only maydanovskie Nazis, that real people were left in Kiev." The organizers of the rally were sure: “The state is killing its own people, and that means we, ordinary citizens of Ukraine, must defend and help the Donbas and the entire southeast.”
But the rally itself did not show. But the reaction to him again was terrible - barbaric, wild, xenophobic.
And now everyone in Ukraine and its environs are puzzled, how could it happen that in a country that lost a huge number of its citizens during World War II, but emerged victorious, the ultranationalist, neo-Nazi and neo-fascist movements again raise their heads many followers in all walks of life.
There are actually several answers. And they are simple, as are the conditions for the emergence of any xenophobia that develops into Nazism and fascism. First, from the first steps of the struggle for the attainment of independence of Ukraine and after that neo-Nazism and neo-fascism, it was Bandera’s sense that climbed into the consciousness of citizens under the guise of national revival. And over time, in the minds of many in general, it was replaced. National rebirth, patriotism, as love for one's Motherland, cunning manipulators were simply replaced in the heads and souls of people by racial intolerance and hatred of foreigners.
And the desire for a generally accepted civilized democracy was replaced by elementary ethnocracy: only that which is good for Ukrainians is good. The slogans "Ukraine above all!", "Ukrainian Ukraine", "One language - one faith - one state!" - this is pure tracing from the German 30's postulates of the last century, stupidly transferred to the current Ukrainian realities. Over the course of 20 over the past years, Ukrainians have been hammered into the head that the cause of their troubles is not in themselves, but in the intrigues of "foreigners" - external and internal enemies who do not accept "Ukrainians."
The reception worked because of its simplicity of understanding the “diploma”: he explained the reasons for the distress, urged not to work for himself, but to find and neutralize “enemies” and offered a way out - to build Ukraine for Ukrainians proclaimed by the “titular nation”. Like, that's when all will be fine. Many people stupidly believed in it and now they believe.
Secondly, the development of neo-Nazism and neo-fascism was actively fueled and funded from the outside, because the sponsors of this cannibal renaissance saw it as a means of combating Russian influence. Not only in the post-Soviet space, but throughout the world. Russophobia is the ideological content of all neo-fascist and neo-Nazi formations in the post-Soviet space. And Russia is the main enemy and the main target of their attacks.
The method was chosen simple and effective - to destroy not only the political and trade and economic ties between the former republics of the USSR, but also to break all spiritual, cultural, simply human bonds that once united the great country. The former brother should, if not go to war with the former brother, then, in any case, blame him for his problems.
Hence the blatant double standards of world Russophobes in evaluating neo-Nazi and neo-fascist movements: in Europe such politicians are not man-made and ructile politicians, and in Ukraine, as well as in the Baltic States, Moldova and even Belarus, they are “heroes of national revival”. It is from here the glorification of all sorts of collaborators in the occupied territories who collaborated with the Nazis — all of these “forest brothers” and veterans of the SS battalions in the Baltic States, SS divisions “Galichina” and “soldiers of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) in Ukraine, etc.
And finally, thirdly, the neo-Nazi and neo-fascist movements, all their leading and rank-and-file members, under these conditions, received an amazing chance for historical rehabilitation. And even for revenge for the defeat in the Great Patriotic War. No wonder that in Ukraine they began to tell about the notorious "UPA warriors" that they fought against the Nazis and the Red Army. And exclusively for an independent Ukraine. And that they had fallen "innocent victims" of clarifying the relationship between the two totalitarian regimes in the USSR and Germany, were ground into powder in the hands of two dictators. And what can now in the composition of the united nations lay claim to their “legitimate” place in the pantheon of the winners of fascism and Nazism in World War II.
Psychological rehabilitation, an opportunity to raise the social status, to remove oneself from the list of rogue states of the modern world are strong motivators in behavior and in choosing the political and ideological color of this behavior of people who are looking for a simple explanation of what is happening. The Bandera movements in Ukraine were persecuted in the Ukrainian SSR all the time, were criminally prosecuted, and now they have suddenly become "heroes of the nation." Agree, this can turn the head and attract to its side new supporters.
On the other hand, such people were used once again for a change of power in Ukraine with the help of “euromaidan”. It is these, as if to say more softly, “nationally sturbirovannye” citizens and became the main “cannon fodder”, thrown first into a violent seizure of power, and then into the fire of civil war. They do not even understand (or do not want to understand?) That they are fulfilling the order of the West to weaken Russia at any cost. But they definitely think and are confident that they are fighting for the “Ukrainian Ukraine”.
However, the modern Ukrainian authorities in Kiev cannot but understand the true background of what is happening. But they also seem to have an order. Same. And this is also a motivator who explains a lot in the behavior of the Kiev authorities. They, it turns out, have a plan B - the final sweep. And with him, it seems, and it was necessary to begin. At least it would be more honest ...
