The milk was natural then, the sausage was sausage, but all of us were then a bit paranoid. We were all afraid of atomic war, and television told us that it could start at any moment, and the press was trying hard. The feeling was that the war was literally beyond the threshold, and this feeling was especially strong in the 1962 year, and why this is so. People were waiting for a bomb on their heads from day to day and ... they drank! Oh, how they drank then, and even the police didn’t prevent them from doing so. After all, everyone knew that we had deployed for “means of defense” then in Cuba and understood how the United States could answer this ...
Therefore, it is not surprising that we, the boys, then constantly played war, and usually after some war film that served us, as it were, the basis of the game. Well, and war films then went almost every day. We played Chapaev, Parkhomenko, Schorsa, “Baltic Sky” - in a word, no matter what the film, then - the game! There was even some foreign film - “Death is called“ Engelhen ”and here we are in it too. And then I somehow watched the movie “We are from Kronstadt”, which I even liked at first, but which made me think about it a lot when we started playing it. There, in the course of the action, the White Guards drown prisoners of the Red Navy in the sea, imposing huge boulders on their necks, and they drown them - these are bastards! - even a young boy, although the main character, of course, is saved. Right according to the scenario, we are the younger ones, they took the older guys into captivity and had to drown them (they even found a suitable cliff for this), and those heroically drowned. But ... where to get stones and ropes? None of this, except for rifles, planed from boards and with bolts from window latches, was not! And here a great idea came to my mind - and then I commanded precisely white, and ordered ... to pin all the red with bayonets! Cheap and efficient!
The game, of course, immediately ended, and we all began to argue - could it be so in life or not! And although I could not convince my comrades, the screen magic turned out to be stronger - I made a note in my mind: there are films that have a great effect on the psyche and excite hatred of the enemy, but which nevertheless show a lie. Because it is unlikely that the same hares would have fumbled with the sailors for so long, and hang fragments of rock on their necks, when they could rather be shot, for example, much faster!
Then, I watched a movie filmed by the GDR cinematographers “The Sons of the Big Dipper” with a colorful figure of Goiko Mitic in the lead role, imbued with pity and love for the Indians, and afterwards I learned that this film passed on to the Indians in the USA caused Dakota with weapons in hand! Among the reasons for the uprising, the FBI agents named the fact of the demonstration of this particular film. The picture was declared a provocation of the special services of the GDR: long-prepared and brilliantly carried out. Back in 1922, the book “National Crime” was written about this. And since 1995, the Crime Investigation Tribunal has been working there in Canadian boarding schools, proving that over a century of terror from 1880 to 1980, more than 50000 Native American children have been killed in them. Tens of thousands more suffered physical and mental traumas. It has been proven that they were raped there, beaten and medical experiments were conducted on them. In general, sheer horror. And about this, it would be quite possible to make a multi-part art film, imbued with ideas ... revenge with whites, and not Christian forgiveness at all ... and pass it on to the local population there! In any case, it will not be worse - because people still need to watch something! Well, after that you can start a corresponding campaign in the press - so they say, what is the vaunted Canadian democracy in relation to their own citizens!
