Sergey Glazyev: “Decisive, tough and accurate”
"TOMORROW". Sergey Yuryevich, recently speaking at a round table on the situation in the Donbas, you called for a "close the sky" over Novorossia. Before that, you considered military intervention by Russia undesirable, since it would give the United States and its NATO allies a reason to present our country as an aggressor and unleash a full-scale military conflict, completely breaking off all ties between Russia and Europe. What has changed, why Churchill's words have become relevant for you now: "He who chooses shame between shame and war, receives both war and shame at the same time"?
Sergey Glazyev. I think the answer to this question is obvious. After the election of Petro Poroshenko as president of Ukraine, the so-called "antiterrorist operation in the South-East" did not cease - on the contrary, it entered a new phase using heavy weapons: aviation, tanks and artillery. Victims among the population of Donbass are growing, the flow of refugees goes to Russia, no measures are being taken to resolve the conflict peacefully. This is the first.
The second. Despite the catastrophic state of the economy and budget, the Ukrainian leadership set a course for the militarization of the country. A general mobilization has been announced, the military industry is being launched at full capacity. Kharkiv and Lviv Tank Plants are loaded with the manufacture of new armored vehicles in the number of 200 units and the restoration of armored vehicles in stock with the pace of 25 tanks per week. Odessa and Chuguev aircraft factories are engaged in the restoration and removal of aircraft from conservation with the pace of 2-5 aircraft per week. The armed conflict in the Donbass is used as a proving ground to create a combat-ready army, which American instructors prepare to enslave the Donbas and, ultimately, attack the Crimea.
After the beginning of the confrontation in April of this year. the number of ideological militants funded by Kolomoisky and the National Guard in the regions of the South-East is growing at an alarming rate. If before the coup, the number of illegal armed units of the Right Sector was about 2,5 thousand people all over Ukraine, today there are so many only in the Zaporizhia region (6000 in Kharkiv, 4800 in Dnipropetrovsk, 3500 in Donbass and almost as many in the Odessa region).
The militarization of the country for the purpose of war against Russia is openly proclaimed by the Ukrainian leadership as the main direction of state policy. Immediately after his election, Poroshenko made several unambiguous statements: “We should get used to living in conditions of constant combat readiness,” “The Army and its rearmament by the efforts of the domestic military-industrial complex is our top priority,” “Russia occupied the Crimea, which was there is Ukrainian. Yesterday, during a meeting in Normandy, I said exactly that to President Putin, “Ukrainian is Ukrainian. And of course. There can be no compromise with anyone on Crimea, European choice and government "" But Ukraine has been and will be a unitary state dreams of the federation are without soil in Ukraine "," We are -. People who were cut off from his great country, Europe, back to her finally and irrevocably. ".
Third. We see total anti-Russian propaganda in the Ukrainian media space, which literally incites Ukrainians against Russia, forms a “new political nation” using the techniques of totalitarian sects on a state scale. This was only in Germany under Hitler. Hatred of Russian citizens as "subhumans" and in general "nonhumans" becomes a kind of "passport of a real Ukrainian."
Fourth. We see the complete dependence of the current Ukrainian government on its American masters. In fact, in Kiev today there is a puppet occupational government, which sets out in Ukrainian what it speaks in English.
And finally, the fifth. All the resources of the country this government throws on the solution of a single task - to unleash a conflict with Russia by any means and draw Europe into it through the mechanisms of the EU and NATO.
"TOMORROW". Speaking of Yatsenyuk, you mean his instructions to the Government of Ukraine to prepare for the cessation of Russian gas supplies from 16 June, accusing Russia of intentionally unilateral refusal to resolve this conflict, undermining the energy security of Ukraine and the European Union, and the threat of appealing to the Stockholm Arbitration Court ?
Sergey Glazyev. This is not a separate statement, but a whole line of behavior that cannot be explained by anything, except that the Ukrainian side, and Yatsenyuk including, is fulfilling Washington’s instructions on breaking the Russian-European cooperation in the energy sector.
"TOMORROW". Should we expect that after Ukraine is transferred to prepayments for gas supplies, Gazprom will have to completely “shut off the valve” due to the selection of transit volumes of gas going to European consumers?
Sergey Glazyev. This is a common practice of the Ukrainian side, it has always been applied. And with those anti-Russian attitudes that exist in the current Kiev leadership, such a development of events looks almost inevitable. The only question is when this will happen - immediately after the transfer to the prepayment, or a month or two Ukraine will play in “energy independence”, using those still unpaid volumes of Russian gas, which it pumped into its storage facilities, starting from November last of the year.
"TOMORROW". What do you think President Putin meant when he announced the possibility of a transition to a different type of relationship with Ukraine?
Sergey Glazyev. Transition to a different type of relationship with Ukraine. This is a very complex and very difficult decision for Russia. But, apparently, any of our attempts to reach agreement with the current Kiev authorities on resolving existing problems and conflicts acceptable to both sides are not just unsuccessful, but are perceived as a manifestation of weakness and lead to new inadequate requirements, unacceptable ultimatums, and further growth and aggravation. conflict potential.
"TOMORROW". So, after all the war between Russia and Ukraine is becoming a reality?
Sergey Glazyev. This is not a war between Russia and Ukraine. This is a war being waged against Russia by the United States. I have already said that today the battlefield has the following configuration:
- The United States is an aggressor country, provoking a world war in order to maintain world domination;
- the provocation of a world war is being waged against Russia, which the USA is trying to present as an aggressor in order to consolidate the Western world in order to defend American interests;
- American geopolitics have relied on the cultivation of Russophobic Ukrainian Nazism in the continuation of the German and English traditions of weakening Russia;
- Ukraine is actually occupied by the United States through a coup and the establishment of a neo-Nazi dictatorship under its control;
- European countries are forced to participate in the war against Russia against their national interests.
"TOMORROW". At the same time, US President Barack Obama says that about any war against Russia: neither cold nor hot, is it out of the question and cannot be?
Sergey Glazyev. The point is not words. “You shall know them by their fruits,” the Gospel says. The fruits of American politics are known to all. These are Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, now Ukraine. There was also Georgia, which began military operations against South Ossetia and Russian peacekeepers at the suggestion of the United States ...
"TOMORROW". What is the reason for this aggressiveness of the United States?
Sergey Glazyev. With a geopolitical tradition with which they have for 250 years gone from the British colony to the only global superpower. it historical a strategy that has been successful, and so far they are not going to abandon it overseas.
The wars in Europe have always been the most important source of economic growth and political power of the United States. This is especially true of the two world wars of the twentieth century, which resulted in a huge outflow of capital and minds from the European countries fighting against each other to America. The "cold" third world war ended with the collapse of the world socialist system, which gave the United States an inflow of over a trillion dollars, hundreds of thousands of specialists, tons of plutonium and other valuable materials, and a multitude of unique technologies. All these wars were provoked with the active participation of the American "fifth column" in the person of controlled, financed and supported by the American special services spies, oligarchs, diplomats, officials, businessmen, experts and public figures. And today, faced with growing financial and economic difficulties, the United States is trying to unleash another war in Europe to solve its problems.
"TOMORROW". The press has already reported that the market for financial derivatives has reached 710 trillions of dollars, of which almost half comes from four leading banking corporations: JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank and Goldman Sachs. And that the conflict in Ukraine is intended to prolong the existence of this financial "bubble", ten times larger than the volume of the world economy.
Sergey Glazyev. The point here is not in the "bubble" of derivatives. The world in recent years is moving to a new, sixth global technological order. In the epoch of such transitions, it is very difficult for the countries of the previous structure to maintain their leadership, since they depend on the over-accumulation of capital in obsolete industries. In the wake of the growth of a new technological order, developing countries, as a rule, are breaking out, which do not have the problem of massive depreciation of accumulated capital, and which therefore can more easily concentrate their resources on breakthrough growth directions. Therefore, the former leaders have to resort to power techniques in foreign and foreign economic policy. That is why military-political tensions and the risks of international conflicts increase sharply.
All three world wars of the twentieth century: two "hot" and one "cold" - were connected just with the change of global technological patterns.
"TOMORROW". So you consider the fourth world war inevitable?
Sergey Glazyev. She is already coming. And not the first year. By the way, many historians consider the beginning of the Second World War not Hitler’s invasion of Poland, but the civil war in Spain. This is 1936 year.
"TOMORROW". Many already compare the current Ukraine, the resistance of Donbass, to Spain during the Civil War.
Sergey Glazyev. The resistance of Donbass should be viewed as a movement in defense of not only the local population from the Nazi junta, but also in defense of Russia against American aggression, as well as the entire world - from the fourth world war. Fighters of the Donbas people's militia are defenders of the Russian world who, not by their own will, found themselves on the front lines of a new world war. The city with the symbolic name Slavyansk has already become a symbol of this heroic defense. Like the Brest Fortress, this small city is opposed to the many times superior forces of the fascist punishers. And do not think that Russia, having surrendered the Donbass, will find peace on its borders and tranquility inside the country: the turn will be the Crimea, the turn will be the activation of the “fifth column”, from liberals to Salafi terrorists.
"TOMORROW". What, in your opinion, should be the position of Russia in the current Ukrainian conflict? How can we and should support the Donbas militia and the residents of Novorossia who have become hostages of the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev.
Sergey Glazyev. You need to act decisively, tough and accurate. It should be understood that politicians are not sitting in Kiev. Not representatives of the Ukrainian people, but puppets, ruled by the United States. And the United States, through the conflict in Ukraine, is trying to solve several interrelated tasks.
First, at any cost to force Russia to enter its troops on the territory of Ukraine, which will allow us to accuse our country of aggression against a sovereign state and introduce financial sanctions in order to freeze (write off) US obligations to Russian structures in the amount of several hundred billion dollars to alleviate the ultimate debt US burdens.
Secondly, such freezing of Russian assets in the West will entail the inability of their owners to service their obligations to mainly European banks, which will create serious difficulties for the latter, fraught with bankruptcy of some of them. The destabilization of the European banking system will stimulate the outflow of capital to the United States to maintain the pyramid of their debt obligations and an even larger pyramid of liabilities of US private banks.
Thirdly, sanctions against Russia will inflict damage on the EU worth about a trillion euros, which will seriously worsen the state of the European economy and weaken its position in the competition with the United States.
Fourthly, drawing European countries into conflict with Russia will strengthen their political dependence on the United States, which will make it easier for the latter to solve the problem of imposing the EU on a “transatlantic” free trade zone on favorable US terms.
Fifth, the war in Europe gives rise to military spending in the interests of the US military-industrial complex.
Sixth, the possibility of such an "overload" of Russia arises, under the conditions of which it capitulates to American pressure and will go for the complete surrender of its national interests, which will cause uncontrolled disintegration of the country.
Seventh, the high-tech sector of the Ukrainian economy built with Soviet technology and fully compatible with the Russian one will be completely destroyed, which will weaken the potential of Russian-Ukrainian integration or make it impossible at all.
While the situation is developing in the framework of the American plans - despite the fact that the risks for the United States and the costs on their part are minimal.
But do not think that Washington has found a profitable strategy - the conflict it unleashed with Russia will weaken not only our country, it will weaken America as well, condemning it to defeat in the fight for global leadership against China.
We have several times proposed alternative global development scenarios that do not lead to the escalation of armed conflicts: from the creation of international institutions that optimize the transition to a new global technological order to large-scale projects designed to protect our planet from space threats. But the United States decided to follow the traditional conflict scenario.
"TOMORROW". Apparently, Washington considers it less costly and more profitable. While Poroshenko, Yatsenyuk, Turchinov and Co. services are partially paid by Europe, and partially by Russia? I mean those billions of dollars that were provided in the form of assistance to the government of Yanukovych, plus the cost of unpaid gas ... "Against Russia, at the expense of Russia and on the ruins of Russia," is the classical formula of the guru of the American geostrategy of Zbigniew Brzezinski practiced?
Sergey Glazyev. This is a formula from my old book "Genocide", devoted to the analysis of the consequences of economic policy, conducted under the guidance of American experts in our country in the 90-s. We still overcome the consequences of this suicidal policy, including in relations with Ukraine. I note that the coup d'état and the war against Russia were organized by the Americans precisely in response to Russia's clear position regarding the impossibility of continuing to subsidize the Ukrainian economy if it is colonized by the EU in the format of the Association. The United States is persistently trying to continue milking Russia, including imposing funding on the anti-Russian campaign in Ukraine. And now we are actually forced to pay old bills. Take at least the same situation with the "Nord Stream". If Ukraine and Russia existed within a single state, in its construction, as well as in the construction of underground gas storage facilities in the territory of the Russian Federation, there would be absolutely no need.
And there are more than a dozen such examples in any sphere: from ideology to economics.
"TOMORROW". What to do?
Sergey Glazyev. First of all, we need to show American politicians and American financiers that they, too, will have to pay a certain price for their actions, and that this price will be much higher than expected by them.
We must get out of the dollar as much as possible in foreign trade and in the system of international payments.
It is necessary to reduce to the limit or even to completely eliminate Russian investments in American securities, including the treasury treasuries of the United States.
It is necessary to abandon the principle of limiting the volume of ruble emissions by the size of the available "gold and currency" reserves, which will allow the domestic industry to allocate long and cheap loans regardless of Western financial institutions.
It is necessary to change the tax system, reducing those taxes that hinder the development of high-tech production in the country.
It is necessary to develop and deepen the processes of Eurasian integration, strategic cooperation with China and the BRICS countries.
In the end, it is necessary to dot the "i" in relations with the current Kiev government, which represents not the interests of the people of Ukraine, but the interests of the US Department of State. You see, it is impossible to seriously talk with rag "parsley", put on someone's hand.
There are other necessary steps that our country can take, or at least designate, for the United States to "play back." If we do not use these opportunities now, then it will only be more difficult.
"TOMORROW". Sergei Yuryevich, you say that by the end of the year Ukraine will be able to set up a half-million army against our country armed with heavy equipment and saturated with neo-Nazi anti-Russian ideology. How does this forecast correlate with the fact that "Nezalezhnaya" is on the verge of default today, and its government does not represent the interests of its own people?
Sergey Glazyev. Judge for yourself. Against the background of the deteriorating economic situation of the population in Ukraine (one and a half hryvnia fall to the dollar, increase in utility tariffs by 94% (planned for 50%), electricity for 40-60%, water supply for 100%, removal of all surcharges and grants to civil servants and public sector employees) the only place where regular salaries are paid are the units of the National Guard and territorial self-defense (the average salary of an ordinary 700 dollars). A sharp drop in the standard of living of the population will cause an explosion of social protest, which the media will send to the Russian Federation. This will create a massive anti-Russian psychosis, necessary to unleash a war with Russia over the Crimea.
"TOMORROW". The first, “orange” “Maidan” of 2004 / 2005 winter, at least at the level of slogans, at the level of ideology, stood for national democratic values, relied on the development of Ukraine by the efforts of all Ukrainians. The current Bandera, "black and red" "Maidan" was already National Socialist, "Ukraine is above all!". That is, in ten years something important has changed ...
Sergey Glazyev. In 2008-2009, the first wave of the global crisis took place, which hit the weak economies very hard, including the Ukrainian ones. The fall there was terrible, at 20%, about two and a half times stronger than in Russia, and almost ten times higher than the world average. Accordingly, the "orange" ideology itself has completely discredited not only at the level of performers (Yushchenko), but also at the semantic level. However, a real, "non-Western" alternative at the level of public consciousness did not arise. The “European choice” with an unattainable standard of living for ordinary Ukrainians, even among the unemployed, remained almost an ideal. They tried to resolve the conflict of claims and real possibilities by sublimating "Ukrainians" as a special, unique value, for which Russia owes its carriers and owners to pay.
“Moscow is to blame for all our troubles, Russia is to blame,” this thesis is hammered across all Ukrainian TV channels, on all radio stations, in all newspapers and magazines, I believe, even in the entire education system, starting almost from kindergartens. Everything is done according to the precepts of Dr. Goebbels.
"Ukrainian democracy" today is totalitarian from head to toe.
For example, how to assess the fact that, in the Kiev version, “humanitarian corridors” for civilians who want to leave the combat zone will be led to “filtration camps”? Conditions of stay in which, voiced by. Defense Minister Mikhail Koval, they demand to call them not filtration, but concentration ones. True, so far this idea seems to have been abandoned, recognizing it as “undemocratic”, but they are not refusing to bomb residential areas. Slavyansk has already been turned into Ukrainian Hernica.
And the fact that the United States did not find another method for solving its problems, turning to the experience of Nazism, best of all indicates that they are lagging behind, losing global leadership in the world.
I think this narcotic illusion will ultimately cost Ukraine a lot. But, I repeat, in the current Kiev government no one thinks about it. And it’s just silly to expect from the United States. If their economy falls, what kind of "prosperity" of Ukraine can they help?
"TOMORROW". If we sum up our conversation, what conclusions should be drawn?
Sergey Glazyev. I repeat. First, we must evaluate the resistance of Donbass as a movement in defense of not only the local population from the Nazi junta, but also the defense of Russia from the American aggression, as well as the entire world - from the fourth world war. Fighters of the Donbas people's militia are defenders of the Russian world who, not by their own will, found themselves on the front lines of a new world war. The city with the symbolic name Slavyansk has already become a symbol of this heroic defense. Like the Brest Fortress, this small city confronts many times the superior forces of the Euro-Fascists at the cost of the lives of its inhabitants. They die not only for the Donbass, they die for all the people of the Russian world and all of humanity, saving us from the new world war. At the same time, they spare the lives of the Ukrainian military, are released to the will of prisoners sent to the slaughter by the Nazi junta.
With all the heroism of the soldiers of the people's army of Donbass, they themselves can not stop the world war. To stop it, you need to create a broad international coalition of countries capable of coordinated action to stop American aggression. These actions should be aimed at undermining the American military-political power, based on the emission of the dollar as a world currency. First of all, they should include the refusal to use the dollar in mutual trade and dollar-denominated securities for the placement of foreign exchange reserves. Dollar instruments should be assessed as extremely risky, and their use should require maximum redundancy.
Along with measures to undermine the ability of the United States to finance the growth of military spending, political efforts are needed to form a broad anti-war coalition to condemn American aggression and expose its organizers in Washington and Brussels. Of particular importance is the political activation of European business, which the unleashing of a new war in Europe does not promise anything good.
And, of course, the most important task is the liberation of Ukraine from the Nazi regime established by the USA. Formation of New Russia in the territory liberated from the American-Nazi occupation is only part of this work. It can be considered complete only after the liberation of Kiev by the forces of the people of Ukraine, which must be awakened from the Nazi nightmare and supported in the struggle to return to the native bosom of the Russian world. This requires extensive work to clarify the true goals of the pro-American Nazi junta, which uses Ukrainian citizens duped by the fascist propaganda as a sacrifice to the god of world war.
