It's a pity there are no explanatory inscriptions at least some

The castle in the photographs is Mirsky, we have it in Belarus near Novogradk. To the northwest of Minsk, 100 kilometers in the direction of Grodno. In the tenth photo above, a very characteristic house with a porch. Personally, I have only seen such in the Bryansk region. Navlinsky district. In the buildings and landscapes, the landscapes in the rest of the photos are very similar to our northwest.

The ruins of the castle in the photo - Mir Castle is approximately 100 km Southeast of Minsk. Property of the Rodzivills. Been there this weekend. Now completely rebuilt and reconstructed.

Most of the photos are the current Korelichi district, Grodno region of Belarus.
he is from this locality, the whole forest is still in the trenches. and the airfield - I also know where this one was located (it is still there, in Soviet times it was flooded with concrete and agricultural aviation pollinated local collective farms every summer until the early 2000s)

Great photos. Many thanks. What intrigued me, of course, is the photo of the 1st world. let's say 1915. But in 1912. It was approved for wearing uniform, with an officer belt of a new sample. with two shoulder straps that we all saw in films about the First World War and the Civil War. In the photographs there is not a single officer with a sword belt.

"During the First World War, we became closely acquainted with the Russian tsarist army. I will cite a little-known, but significant fact: our losses on the Eastern Front were much greater than the losses we suffered on the Western Front from 1914 to 1918."

Here it is, real freedom in Russian! The National Search of all the inhabitants of our state walks freely on the Internet. You just look http://peopleofrussia.in It's outrageous! Personally, I found complete, and most importantly, reliable information, also on relatives.
