Iraqi front: jihadists are attacking Baghdad, the US is not going to send troops, Iran enters the battle

62

The war in Iraq continues to expand. The grouping "The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIS), after capturing Mosul and Tikrit, promised to take Baghdad and regroup its forces to attack the Iraqi capital. Not only hundreds of millions of dollars in cash, gold, and jewels fell into her hands, but weapons billions of dollars, which threw fighters of several Iraqi divisions and police formations. The situation is so complicated that the United States promised military assistance to Iraq in the war against the Islamists, and Iran, according to media reports, has already sent troops to the elite Al-Quds special forces, which is part of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Events develop very quickly. Within days, the Islamists seized two Iraqi cities, Tikrit and Mosul (Black flags over Mosul and Tikrit). Tikrit is a small city, but it is of great symbolic importance; it is the birthplace of the commander and great statesman who united the territories of modern Egypt, Syria, Iraq and parts of Saudi Arabia Salah ad-Din (Saladin), as well as Saddam Hussein. The capture of Mosul in general is a grand event. Apparently, there was a betrayal of the part of the Sunni military and backstage games with the participation of Saudi and possibly American intelligence agencies, which continue to patronize the jihadists.

Iraqi front: jihadists are attacking Baghdad, the US is not going to send troops, Iran enters the battle

The project of “caliphate” and “war against the infidels” is generally the brainchild of the Anglo-Saxons, Saudi and Pakistani special services, who created it to fight the USSR in Afghanistan and in general against Russian civilization. At the same time, the task of “lowering” Europe is being solved, which in the long term is doomed to slaughter, assimilation and Islamization. As well as attacks on Chinese and Indian civilization states.

Capturing Mosul is a brilliant operation (obviously, it’s not without the operational assistance of certain forces) that decided several important tasks at once:

- The Iraqi army received a powerful blow, its morale, which is already extremely low, fell even lower. The defeat of the Iraqi forces showed the whole world the rottenness and instability of the semi-colonial regime, which was no longer concerned with the unity of the state and the elaboration of a line for the harmonious development of the Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish communities, but theft and power struggle. Personal and narrow group interests of the Iraqi "elite" led to the final collapse of Iraqi statehood.

- Plans to divide Iraq into several states are taking shape - Iraqi Kurdistan is already de facto independent. In recent events, the Kurds occupied Kirkuk, which they had wanted to occupy for a long time. The Kirkuk area is rich in hydrocarbons. The city of Kirkuk is located outside the Kurdish Autonomous Region, but the Kurds consider it their historical the capital. Now the territory of the "Sunni Caliphate" is being formed. Shiites also have to separate. Put the entire territory of Iraq under their control they will not work.

- Jihadists got a powerful fortress. A city like Mosul will be extremely difficult to take, given the low combat capability of the Iraqi forces. So, Iraqi troops stormed Fallujah for several months, which the Islamists took at the beginning of 2014, but without success. Mosul has already become a powerful springboard for the further advance of the jihadists. In addition, the city is on important communications. Now Islamists have complete freedom of movement from Iraq to Syria.

- Capture of Mosul solved the problem of financing. Huge sums have been captured (hundreds of millions of dollars), which will make it possible in a short time to produce a new mobilization set into their ranks and continue the offensive. There are a lot of disadvantaged people in the region, where wars and revolutions replace one after another. Therefore, volunteers are more than enough.

- Jihadists have seized a huge amount of weapons worth billions of dollars. In fact, what the Americans supplied for years, the militants seized in a few days. Whole divisions collapsed and fled, captured equipment, warehouses with weapons, ammunition, equipment and fuel. Thus, the operational command of Nineveh disappeared with the fall of Mosul, from which soldiers of the infantry division and the division of the federal police fled. One Iraqi division fled from Tikrit. Another division collapsed in the Kirkuk region (its positions were taken by the Kurds). There are so many weapons that Islamists simply do not have enough drivers and specialists to use all the equipment. Much of it is simply burned and destroyed, so as not to get the military. The part quickly transferred to Syria.

- Saudi Arabia delivered a strong blow to Iran and Syria. And also justified their investments in terrorist organizations. Iraq’s development plans for the oil industry, according to which Baghdad planned to produce 6-8 million barrels per day, can put an end, at least for a considerable time. The plans of Iraq and Iran by the 2020 year to reach the total production in 20 million barrels per day and become the largest producers of “black gold” were greatly disturbed by the Saudis. Therefore, chaos in the territory of Iraq is in the interests of the Kingdom.

- Poured gasoline into the fire of the Syrian war. Part of the weapons abandoned by the Iraqi police and army were immediately transferred to Syria, reinforcing the power of the Islamists on this front. The problem of supplying weapons, ammunition and financing the war in Syria has been resolved. It is possible that the war in Syria will reach a new level.

- Iran is forced to respond to a major defeat and the possibility of defeating an Iraqi ally. In fact, Tehran is in the position of Moscow, which wants or does not want, but will be forced to intervene in the Ukrainian war or get a war on its territory. For Tehran, the situation in Iraq is a matter of strategy, history, religion (sacred places for Shiites) and economics. Moreover, Iran, like Russia in a “fork” situation, is dangerous to intervene, this is an escalation of the conflict, the spread of chaos in the region, but it is impossible not to get into it. The fall of the Shiite regime threatens the emergence of a "Sunni caliphate" aggressive towards Iraqi Shiites and Iran. As Russia, without interfering in the Ukrainian war, it receives the “Ukrainian Reich”, which is extremely aggressive towards the Russian world, the genocide of Russians in New Russia and the discontent of Russian patriots. Whose energy received from the victory in the Crimea is gradually channeled into hatred of power (moods quickly change from enthusiasm to bewilderment and misunderstanding, and then hatred) and dramatically increase the potential of the Russian revolution.

But the open intervention of Iran in the Iraq war is a withdrawal of the situation to a new level. His opponents in the region and the world will respond and Iran will have to face new and unforeseen challenges. However, the passive strategy is even more flawed. Therefore, Iran, according to media reports, still decided to intervene. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African countries Hossein Amir-Abdollahiyan said that Iran is ready to help Iraq in the fight against terrorists. According to The Wall Street Journal Europe, which refers to sources in Iraqi security forces, Tehran decided to act on the Syrian scenario and sent several battalions of the elite special forces unit to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group. Corps of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution. Part of the forces was sent to protect Baghdad and the Shiite holy cities of Karbala and Najaf, one battalion is already fighting in the Tikrit area. The command of the Iranian forces is exercised by Brigadier General Kasem Suleymani.

In addition, Iran began to strengthen its borders with Iraq. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of the Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), Ali Abdollah. “We cannot wait until we have incidents on the borders or terrorist attacks are recorded. We have always been supporters of taking proactive measures, ”the deputy minister said. Iran led troops on the border with Iraq, and filed by the media, gave permission to the Air Force to bomb the positions of ISIS militants if they come closer than 100 kilometers to the Iranian border

The situation continues to deteriorate. On Thursday evening, the jihadists captured two more cities in the province of Diyala in the north-east of the country - Jaloul and Saudiya. The units of the security forces who defended populated areas simply fled when the enemy mobile groups approached. True, the Iraqi military refuted this message. In the situation there is no clarity. The militants have already threatened to seize Baghdad. A member of the ISIL group, Mohammed al-Adnani, announced in his audio message: "The battle has not yet begun, but it will begin in Baghdad and Karbala."

From Iraq began the flight of the bourgeoisie. The United States began the evacuation of its personnel from a large airbase near the city of Balad, where the Americans were training Iraqis. In particular, UAV operators were trained there. This information was confirmed by the US State Department. In a statement, State Department spokesman Jen Psaki said that the evacuation of Americans working in Iraq as part of the program for the supply of military weapons and equipment began.

US President Barack Obama said on Thursday that Washington is considering any options for military assistance to Iraq in the fight against radical Islamists. “I do not exclude anything,” Obama answered the journalist’s question about whether BLAH strikes are possible by the militants. White House spokesman Jay Carney explained that by military assistance, the American president meant only air strikes. Apparently, it is not worth waiting for a serious reaction from the United States. Everything happens as part of a global plan to incite "controlled chaos" in Eurasia (The goal of the owners of the West - chaos in Eurasia). Earlier, before the seizure of Mosul, Baghdad had already asked Washington to launch air strikes against ISIL and other Islamist groups, but the Americans refused. Washington does not like the fact that al-Maliki’s regime helps Assad. It is possible that Washington will easily throw al-Maliki’s regime back to its plans to dismember Iraq into three parts (Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite), with further escalating the conflict in Syria and worsening the situation of Iran.

NATO also denies interference. The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, stated that he does not see the role of NATO in Iraq, the bloc does not have a mandate to resolve the situation in Iraq, they only track it. The Secretary General called only on all parties involved to stop the violence and immediately release the hostages.

Meanwhile, the army of Islamists seriously strengthened its power. July 12 ISIS controlled about 15% of Iraqi territory, with several million inhabitants. In their offensive, the Islamists are already using dozens of new trophy armored vehicles of various types. It is possible that the Islamists will soon have their own air force - several combat aircraft and helicopters have been captured in Mosul, some pilots have taken the side of ISIS. Hundreds of officers and soldiers went over to the Islamists. The ranks of the group have also strengthened the hundreds of freed prisoners, many of whom hold radical views. Another ISIS personnel reserve - the fighters of other Islamist movements and groups, who, against the background of such victories and a dramatically increased financial resource, are moving to the side of the "Islamic state".

The Kurds are strengthening their positions and are in no hurry to attack the Islamists. The president of the Kurdish autonomy, Masud Barzani, ordered the militia to strengthen the protection of the borders of the disputed territories in order not to allow the Islamists to infiltrate them, and then to Kurdistan. The movements of Kurdish forces are designed to defend their territories, including the disputed ones that are disputed between Baghdad and Erbil (the city of Kirkuk and the Kirkuk oil field). In general, Kurdistan expressed its readiness to help Baghdad, but only after it had been agreed with the central authorities. However, Baghdad declared that he himself was “ready to cope on his own,” despite the general flight of army and police forces. In Baghdad, they are clearly afraid that they will have to give Kirkuk for Kurdish aid.

Nuri al-Maliki is still trying to rectify the situation by moving troops from the western province of Anbar, where tank and mechanized units for several months unsuccessfully tried to regain control of Fallujah. However, transferring troops from this direction, Baghdad weakens it. And this threatens a crisis in another direction. Then the Islamists will be able to strike Baghdad from the western direction - from the cities of Ramadi (110 km from the capital) and Fallujah (60 km from the capital). The central authorities obviously do not have enough troops to control all directions. In addition, unlike the Syrian army, the Iraqi army demonstrates low combat efficiency.

Whatever the current armed conflict in Iraq ends, one thing is clear - the Middle East is still slipping into chaos and becoming the front of a world conflict.

I think that these are stages of one plan ... we were tied up with Ukraine, Iran with Iraq ... Can you imagine how many orders for weapons will be received by the US companies ... And most importantly, this "noise" "from Ukraine and Iraq" is very reliably hides many of the problems of the United States ... Who now remembers the "threshold of the US national debt", which has already increased TWICE this year alone ... There is also silence about other problems of the United States ...

You take it finely. The plan is completely different - the West does not need large and strong states in the Middle East. So they strive to dismember all, so that there are many small and unstable, not capable of progress and development!
But in Ukraine, on the contrary, they wanted it ALL, like a springboard against us. So far, they don’t want to divide it, they want to squeeze it to the maximum. As soon as it doesn’t work, they will ripen for separation. I think that’s how it is!

Incorrect, ISIS evolved from a branch of Al-Qaeda (with which it is also now hostile), and al-Qaeda began to infiltrate into Iraq in the wake of Sunni-Shiite showdowns, and invaded Syria when the carnage was already in full swing there, in an attempt to "skim the cream" from what is happening. But after a short time, ISIS "rebelled" against its patrons in al-Qaeda and decided to pursue its own interests. ISIS has its roots in the Iraqi population, and its members are so fanatical and frostbitten that even al-Qaeda considers them to be psychos obsessed with violence.

The trouble with Russia is that Putin does not want to pursue an aggressive policy, although the entire West considers Russia an aggressor and applies sanctions. And if this is so, then it is necessary to correspond to this image and kick everyone in the ... days ... to know that Russia will always respond to any provocation more than adequately. They planted a Russian in Thailand - get Bangkok a ballistic missile. The Americans have arrested a Russian - get a torpedo on a passenger liner. Dill journalists were detained - "get the fascist a grenade." And a polite person surrounded by evil wolves cannot survive.

        No need to support anyone.
We support someone all our lives, and then they cuddle with our enemies. Examples - above the roof, dozens. The final example is Abkhazia.
Kurds are Kurds, they will never become our friends.
In addition, the Kurds are related to the Persians (Iranians) people

Around like Poles Russian. Or the Serbs to the Croats.
The relationship between the Persians and the Kurds is complex and bloody. If anything, I remember the war between them. Iran also has its own Kurdistan (more than a million Kurds), which has long been fighting for separation. Iran is not an ally of Turkey, but he is as opposed to the creation of Kurdistan as Turkey, like Iraq. This is the point at which all the states of the region converge.

It will not work, "Kurdistan" includes hefty territories of both Turkey and Iran, I doubt that they will take them and give them away. Iran and Turkey were the loudest calls for taming the Kurdish movements in Iraq at one time.
So Iran is more likely an enemy to the Kurds. And supporting the Kurds, Russia will step on Iran with a sore spot, which will not add friendliness either.
But ... I would advise them to be held back, in the event of the establishment of an independent Kurdistan, Russia will get a more adequate and stable ally than the Iranian mullocracy. Kurds are the most adequate in the Islamic world, they do not suffer from Islamism, they know how to fight, unlike Arabs or Persians, they are hardworking, and they don’t favor fanatics in their society, reliable guys are shorter.

          What will Israel do?

So far, nothing, uses the respite to prepare for future confrontations. Secular forces in the Arab world (except Egypt and Jordan), with which we could speak, have no power, or lay under the Islamists. And by definition we have nothing to talk about with fanatics, they sacredly believe that Allah bequeathed them to exterminate the Jews.
But strategically, they are not a threat to us, they are too different weight categories, but in terms of "screwing up the sly" by shelling and blood tarrats, they can drink pretty much. If Iraq and Syria fall into the hands of ISIS, it will be necessary to create a sanitary corridor on the Syrian border, which is unpleasant, but not critical.
Well, you have to take on the role of the unspoken defender of the Syrian-Jordanian border, so that this infection does not spread to Jordan. (Egypt was lucky in this regard, we physically enclose it from ISIS. Metastases appear on the sinai, but the Egyptians, with the support of our intelligence, successfully stop them)

It is very correctly noticed, the Kremlin igrams should think about this very seriously, otherwise the throne might stagger, and the State Department is already sending significant financial resources to the Russian Maidan.

Now the territory of the "Sunni Caliphate" is being formed.

If the jihadists succeed in doing this, then we will get the Third Chechen War because It’s not a secret for anyone that many immigrants from Chechnya and other Caucasian republics are fighting there. Plus, if you don’t break with the ukronazists now, they will climb for a sweet soul to destabilize the situation in the Caucasus as it was before

In the damned 90s, when video salons appeared, I watched a video cassette about Nastrodamus. There they translated the predictions of Nostrodamus as follows:
      - 3 World War will begin the ruler in a blue turban.

Until now, for some reason, this film does not go out of my head, although 20 years have already passed. At first I thought that the war would go from the east, because it was a turban. After all the events on the outskirts, seeing blueyellow flag, expect trouble from there. And right now ... honestly speaking, I'm in a stupor ...

Iran led troops on the border with Iraq, and according to media reports, gave permission to the Air Force to bomb the positions of ISIS militants if they come closer than 100 kilometers to the Iranian border."
This is a normal response to strengthening the border, and not what we see when planes and "BMP" are coming out quietly penetrate and deploy on the territory of Rossii.Iran clearly expressed his position, and did not think if a "bunch" would happen.

What does it mean overlooked? The USA in Iraq suffered a geopolitical defeat. This question is not a bad or good attitude towards the USA, but as a result of not even a war, but in the deepest pre-war mistake of planning the post-war structure of Iraq. There were no serious specialists in the United States who could explain to the US leadership the terrible complexity of the internal structure of Iraq, where the population is divided not only into Shiites and Sunnis, but also from Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens, tribes and clans. Attempting to act in post-war Iraq, as in post-war Germany or Japan, were doomed to failure. Well, he came.

"Apparently, this was not without the betrayal of a part of the Sunni military and behind-the-scenes games with the participation of the Saudi, and possibly the American special services, which continue to patronize the jihadists." ... in short, the Iraqi government did everything to make it happen ... they stupidly pounded the loot ... transferred weapons to those areas in which it was necessary to the most ineffective units.

It seems to me that the current problems in Iraq cannot be America's Big Plan. Looking at the problems in Afghanistan, when they armed and supported the Mujahideen in every possible way, one can clearly see that America's foreign anti-Russian policy was not calculated or planned with ALL possible consequences. There, the United States simply made a deal with those who turned out to be cunning - they took money, weapons and military consultations, but did not inflame with love for the American lifestyle. As a result, the United States (represented by the moron Bush) received a massive terrorist attack. Bush, because of his moronism, turned the army there. But I went to Iraq feeling drunk with "justice" and revenge for the failure of my father's war in the past. All American presidents are protégés of Very Big Business. And in Iraq, the Americans stepped on the traditional American rake! Iraq was not a historically independent state. And the Americans, as in Afghanistan, have once again demonstrated to the world their political myopia. The greatest mistake, turning into the greatest crime against humanity, is that America builds ALL of its big plans on military force. America has no institution of diplomatic succession. Therefore, when the administration is changed (and sometimes more often), there is a chaotic change of teams.
Problems in Iraq are temporarily at the hands of Russia, as they are thrusting the US into their own shit, which they so willingly "squeezed" out of their political guts. But like any war, these problems can come back to haunt in Syria if the United States begins in its own way (that is, in its own cowboy style) to clean up the ends of its failed Iraqi policy. In any case, the United States is now under obvious pressure. The world understands that Iraq is THEIR PROBLEM. And this means first of all - less concentration in Ukraine. And this should be used!

Iran can officially offer assistance to Iraq, and not officially for preserving the skins of the current rulers of which the Americans have leaked for intransigence to demand a military alliance! Then Iran, having an army of half a million people, can easily throw one hundred thousand into Iraqi and most important Syrian territory!
The next step is to capture any of the ISIS leaders and announce that Qatar is funding them. Declaration of war on Qatar - moreover, action can not be conducted here formality is important.
And what should the Americans do :) Support Iran and lose a key ally or fight on the side of the jihadists? As a result, the rise in oil prices and the loss by the Americans of either Iraq or Qatar !!!

Kurdish state education exists only in Iraqi Kurdistan. In addition, in the 1920 in the territory of Turkish Kurdistan in the 3 of the year, the self-proclaimed Ararat Kurdish Republic existed, and in the 1945 in the territory of Iranian Kurdistan, the Mehabad Republic was proclaimed for a short time. Among the Kurds, the idea of creating a “Greater Kurdistan”, that is, an independent state throughout the territory of ethnic Kurdistan, is very popular, and as a first step, giving the rest of Kurdistan the same status as Iraqi Kurdistan that enjoys wide autonomy.

Why does the author believe that the Americans beat Iran here? On the contrary, this is a chance that happens once every 10 years!

You forget about about the same situation at the end of the last century, when the "equally smart" Saddam Hussein also attacked only Kuwait. So what? The NATO army quickly defeated Iraq, then the strongest state in the region. And on what interesting grounds Iran will attack Qatar. Islamists do not attack its territory.

when the "equally smart" Saddam Hussein also attacked

Saddam Hussein attacked Kuwait due to oil theft by Kuwait.
Kuwaiti oil companies drilled directional wells near the Iraqi border and stole oil from Iraq.
Saddam has repeatedly warned Kuwait, but as if not care - "America is with us", they thought that Saddam would be afraid to solve this problem by military means.
Saddam punished Kuwait, but he was avenged.

We no longer have a president. There was only a citizen in v p who sabotages his official duties.
If he had even a drop of honor (officer), then he would have resigned. The buttermen hold him tight by the balls,
and he does not want to leave (like Yeltsin: "I am a muhozhuk"). He is now completely independent.
Need impeachment or other means. I would sign for impeachment, I answer.
A strong-willed leader is needed - it is not too late. For the drain has already begun.
Urkain infantry fighting vehicles freely cut across Russia. Soon they will burn the embassy in Kuev. And - they’ll do it right.
Such frank cocks must be burned. Everything is logical.

Get rid of the dollar as soon as possible. While the Fed is on horseback, the Yankees are actively interfering everywhere. As soon as they live on their own, the conflicts will begin to subside.

Amazing country and army. Okay, under Saddam it can be explained by low loyalty and a desire to join world values. But here? Every soldier knows that ISIS kills everyone; prisoners cannot survive. Every soldier knows that whoever runs will be subject to a ROAD CHECK and the same ISIS will bury him right on the side of the road. Every soldier knows that ISIS chops off the heads and crucifies civilians for any offense and films it himself in HD quality (the same Raqqa can even be found on YouTube or on Life without censorship). But they run, they run en masse at the first contact. As a result, 1700 captured soldiers were shot in a ditch.
