On board the Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the Murmansk region, there were 19 people. Of these, five crew members and 14 passengers. Rescuers and the investigative team are working at the scene of the incident, the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. Among the passengers were high-ranking officials of the Murmansk and Leningrad regions, as well as the general director of Apatit.
The police noted that two people survived. They are hospitalized. The search for the remaining passengers and crew members continues.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the crash could be bad weather conditions. Also, the error of the pilots is not excluded in difficult weather conditions.
