Crews of tank divisions of the Central Military District appreciated the improved performance of the upgraded T-72B3 tanks.

Crews tank formations and units of the Central Military District (CVO) are completing retraining for the upgraded T-72B3 tank. Classes are held at the Prospector of the Research and Production Corporation "Uralvagonzavod" (Sverdlovsk region).

Tankers point out a significant improvement in the ride quality of new combat vehicles. From 2 to 9 June, they will take part in the district stage of the tank biathlon competition, which will be held at the Chebarkul training ground.

The T-72B3 tank is equipped with a digital chassis control system that provides automated control over the operation of the power plant, transmission, and automatic shift modes. The tanks installed a new system of aiming and fire control, as well as improved video viewing devices.

“The machine has become more convenient to use, more precisely in the management and management of fire. Driver mechanics have become better able to cope with overcoming obstacles, ”said Lieutenant Arthur Orlov, commander of a tank brigade platoon.

Specialists of the armored vehicle service of the Central Military District noted that the engine power increased by 330 horsepower and reached 1130 hp.

The military personnel of the Central Military District studied the new technique in theoretical and practical classes under the supervision of designers and testers. In the driving lessons they honed the skill of overcoming the track-bridge, the ford, the anti-tank ditch and other obstacles, as well as firing from the NSVT machine gun.

The right to explore the new tanks deserved the officers and soldiers who won the qualifying competitions in tank biathlon in the units and military units of the Central Military District.

In general, everything is new - long forgotten old! The USSR was able to make tanks! With a margin for many years. Slightly podshamanil - here you have a new modern tank. Russian gunsmiths are the glory of Russia! good

This is so far bad, only selectively, the best of the best, but it would be necessary in large quantities.
And here is a photo, just like that or really in defense of some progress for the better?

“Well then, Arthur Orlov, it's time for you to command the company!”
He answered the brigade officer. Yes

I am sure that this is only the beginning. They run in new models of equipment in the field, evaluate them. Next - a wide modernization of the tank fleet based on the T-72.

As the sides and stern of the tower were "protected" by boxes, they remained, As there was no remotely controlled ZPU, it did not, as there was no KAZ, so it did not appear. The sides of the hull and feed were also left without protection.

Not immediately, of course, but I think they will try to adjust everything to the required level. Indeed, even when Armata arrives, the 72s will have to play the main role in the troops for a long time to come.

An old friend is better than two new ones?! lol
It’s cheaper to upgrade than to build new ones, and if the characteristics were brought into compliance with the standards, then why not.
Moreover, we will still have a new tank!

I'm a little off topic, but what do the T-90s no longer do for our army?

The t-90 is twice as expensive as the modernization of the t-72b ...

They just use the old Soviet, very good. a good start, one can say in connection with the difficult international situation. You can recall the decision to return to service a hundred - another Mig-31, four pieces of titanium submarines, two nuclear-powered cruisers of the Orlan type. , and the "oldies" modernized according to modern technologies will very much serve.

When Armata arrives, so that our fighters switch to a new generation of cars. By upgrading you can change many characteristics of the machine, but the basic concepts cannot be changed

      Who-thread can explain it?
Somehow I did not spot it, when I climbed into the T-72B3 ...
      Maybe not spotted ...

It’s not even B-92, but abruptly.
And when on the T-72B3 they threw out the B-46-6 (B-84) family and began to install a new engine?

      New upgrade modernization?

By the way, when installing a new dvigl, the transmission is also seriously modernized: Guitar, BKP, Radiators and fan friction. It’s like on the T-72BA.
      .........................

And Native Mazuta - GOOD LUCK in mastering the technology.
