Why New Russia can not be compared with Chechnya nineties

I read the press and social networks, where, as if by a textbook, “Chechnya of the nineties” and Novorossia are compared. And also the readers suggested looking for differences in situations in the South-East of Ukraine and in Chechnya.

Let's try to justify them together.

first. Initially, Donetsk and Lugansk did not even think about secession from Ukraine, as far as I remember. Initially, simple and clear requirements sounded: people wanted their native language, spoken by the vast majority of the inhabitants of the region, to become the official one.

It is quite a harmless requirement that fits into the concept of human rights.

Second. Residents of the South-East of Ukraine demanded federalization, the expansion of economic rights, when they could direct most of the state taxes to their own social sphere.

Only when they didn’t give a damn about these demands did they start talking about independence.

In Chechnya, everything was different.

6 September 1991 there was an armed coup - the Supreme Council of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR was dispersed by members of the gangs.
By his first decree of 1 in November 1991, Dudayev proclaimed the independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (CRI) from the RSFSR.

Further, the Dudayev regime began to build a mono-national state: people of other nationalities fled from Chechnya. Russian residents of the republic was staged a genocide.
Russia continued to pay Chechnya money for social programs: they were plundered by the Dudayev leadership. This also includes the subversive activities in the financial sphere: many people remember the so-called “Chechen advice notes”.

In 1993, Chechen-Ingushetia broke up.

26 May and 29 July 1994 Chechen extremists committed terrorist acts outside of Chechnya. In the city of Mineralnye Vody, hostage-taking, including children, took place twice. Killed 4 man. Further, as we remember, the attacks were more and more.

Naturally, it was the ATO - the conduct of the antiterrorist operation. And naturally, the end of this large-scale internal Russian tragedy was laid by Vladimir Putin as a result of his agreements with Akhmat Kadyrov, who behaved like a responsible politician.

Well and, therefore, the necessary questions after such an excursion in history.

Southeast began with the declaration of independence, or first tried to agree with the Kiev authorities on how to live in a single state?

Did the South-East of Ukraine arrange the genocide on a national basis on its territory?
Did Southeast arrange the terrorist attacks in any cities of Ukraine?

And one more, a small nuance.

Have the leaders of the West (or Russia) in Europe or the USA met with the leaders of New Russia? Were receptions, press and simply “about the struggle for independence” conferences held in Washington or London for them? Have millions of dollars been given "on the road to independence"? Did they press them as furiously as Maskhadov-Zakayev-Khattab-Dudayev-Raduyev and comrades of the world's leading media, the bonfire of the “feds”? Were they told a thousand-page about the atrocities of the regular army against the “rebels dreaming of freedom”? Not?

It seems to me that to talk about the similarity of situations is to sign in ignorance. Moreover, the tragedy with Chechnya is historically so close that it cannot be closer.

In order for a liberal to come to the state you have indicated, his tribe must first "finish" ("finish"), so you are most likely talking about "complete" liberals, and this is a different category.

I think that not Chechnya and Novorossia as subjects are compared here, but they are compared purely from a military point of view:
      1. The Ukrainian army is as bad as the Russian in 90, and even worse.
      2. The militants in the role and tactics of militants.
There are differences here too, especially in combat tactics and the like.
If the article were about this, I would be interested. It was possible to affect the expediency of the raids beyond the limits of the DPR, the pros and cons. The specifics of the mountains and plains. The factor of aviation of the Ukrainian Air Force in contrast to the Russian in 90, how much difference?

Atack, anyone knows the answer to these questions:

Have the leaders of the West (or Russia) in Europe or the USA met with the leaders of New Russia? By the way, yes, a comparison article from a military point of view would also be appropriate. On the similarities and differences in tactics and characteristics.

I will try to briefly compare with a purely practical point of view how I see it:
        1. The junta began a database in the territory of Novorossia almost immediately after the announcement of the DPR and the appearance of armed resistance fighters in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, while the database in Chechnya only began more than 3 years after independence and then in response to Dudaev’s failure to comply with the ultimatum’s requirements to release the Russian tankers (captured during the unsuccessful assault of Grozny by the anti-Dudaev opposition on November 26, 1994).
        2. The militias in the DPR and LPR at the time of the start of the confrontation were armed only with small arms, a little later BMD 25th ambergris fell into their hands, while by 1992 Dudayev was left with almost all the weapons of the North Caucasian military district. Dudayev had armored vehicles (armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles), a tank regiment was quartered in Shalyi, even artillery and air defense equipment (ZSU "Shilka", etc.) and even aircraft (several dozen L-39 and L-29) were available ... In Chechnya, weapons were in free circulation (there was even a market in the center of Grozny where you could buy any small arms from APS to RPGs). Almost every family in Chechnya had several units of automatic firearms in storage.
        3. The militia of the DPR and LPR is still practically not structured in any way, there is still no single command and very weak military interaction, while Dudayev had a headquarters at the beginning of the war, there were several large formations (such as the battalion Borz Gelayev and the Abkhazian Battalion "Basayev"), which had already been tested in the Georgian-Abkhaz war and with the beginning of the war became the nucleus of resistance to the offensive of our army (rather quickly the number of active militants grew from several hundred or thousands to several tens of thousands).
        4. The Chechen events of 1991 clearly had a tough anti-Russian nationalist orientation and the main task was to push the non-Vainakh population from Chechnya. DPR and LPR - they set themselves the task of separating from Ukraine, from the junta, but nowhere and never have I heard the declaration of the task of ousting people of Ukrainian or any other nationality (especially since the Ukrainian population there is fighting shoulder to shoulder with the Russian junta).
        5. If we take a purely military aspect, then for the most part the mountainous terrain of Chechnya created additional conditions for partisan actions. In the mountains, the use of armored vehicles, artillery, helicopters (weather conditions, terrain, etc.) is very limited. At the same time, the area in Donbass is mostly flat, there are almost no forests, which constitutes additional obstacles to the organization of an effective partisan movement. At the moment, the tactics of Colonel Strelkov, when the militias take control of the city, communication between them, is the only possible and only unmistakable.
Conclusion: the situation in Chechnya of the 90s is very different from the situation in Novorossia in terms of its premises, development, and features, and any analogy here is incorrect

A little off topic! Here one observer Viktor Yadukha, Rosbalt agency, discusses who they are Donbass militias! It seems to me that he noticed quite accurately that this is a collective image of the cinema hero Danila Bagrov!

Discussing the collective portrait of Donbass militias and volunteers, I suddenly realized that, with all their diversity (Russian nationalists, leftists, Cossacks, hot spot veterans, former officers, volunteers from the Caucasus, just miners), they merge into a clear image of Danila Bagrov from " Brother-2. " Look at these people, listen to them: here you have the power in truth, and they answered for Sevastopol, and that's it. And most importantly - there is self-organization.

“Well, what a strong propaganda film,” says a Moscow colleague. “I remember the furious increase in the number of Danil among newborns when the hero's peers began to give birth to sons.”

But this film, if it turned out to be propaganda, is in a good way and unintentionally. He became such an after-fact, spontaneously, due to the precise hit of the late Alexei Balabanov (who had not a single such tape before or after the Brothers) in the nerve of the era. Moreover, it seems to me that in this film, the play of Bodrov Jr. to some extent broke the Balabanov chernushny look at Russian life.

Danila Bagrov - this is what the devoted, frenzied, fragmented and desperate Russian people lacked so much in 90. By the time Brother-2 appeared, we had learned that Yeltsin has a Family. The oligarch who robs us, increasing the wealth of his family, beyond which there is no good and evil for him. The proud small nations, before whom we must repent for the Cyrillic alphabet, factories and theaters. They explained to us popularly that the Russian wolf and Russian life are lead abominations, they are ashamed to be called Russian, there really are no Russians, and the Soviet people are scoops, an invention of the Evil Empire and a symbol of social maladaptation.

And suddenly, in the darkest hour of our recent history, Danila on three fingers showed that in fact fiction and trouble are all of the above. That the real “huge family” is us. What is real is not only ourselves, but also our slandered history with geography. That the Brother exists not only with the Chechen. And it is important that he showed it to us, quoting not the pre-revolutionary classics, but the deeply Soviet poem of the poet from Simferopol (!) Vladimir Natanovich Orlov.

This is important because the cold civil war, in which we lost the Union and can lose Russia, does not go separately with the Russian and Soviet identities. The war is going on with their imperial synthesis, a vivid example of the vitality of which became both Brother himself and the mass response to it. No wonder Danila immediately began to tear our liberal community with napalm.

Now the hero of Bodrov Jr., who died under an avalanche in the Caucasus, mixed with Caucasian soil, has risen in the Donbass in the images of his militias, came to the aid of Slavyansk along with Caucasian volunteers. And the liberal public again distorts:

          To be continued! hi

“I found out that I have
          there is a huge family:
          Yanukovych and Kadyrov,
          regiment of hired commanders,
          Pshonka, Girkin and Babai,
          Abwehr, Bezler, Beard,
          Ossetian abreks,
          polite people
          GRU officers
          KPU activists,
          Cossacks and drunkard,
          young lady prosecutor
          Dobkin, Golden Eagle, RNE,
          KP journalists
          from Lugansk gopot,
with the red banner of the crowd,
          looters and sadists,
          militia and security officers ...
          Is this my homeland?
Yes, you go to # "#, $ la".

This was written by Evgeny Levkovich of Rolling Stone. He is not the first to parody a poem from "Brother"; banter on this subject is abundant, for example, here. But Levkovich, of course, is better. Because he is no longer up to banter, he is really scared.

The liberal public, building its little Brzezinski happiness "on the ruins of Russia and at the expense of Russia", was sure that Russians without a state would not move. After all, the Russian state loves to punish private initiative, even if it fully and completely meets its interests. That is, here, someone else’s tank is pounding in the Kremlin, the towers are falling, and an RPG fighter is sitting nearby, but he isn’t shooting without the go-ahead: “What if all this is planned? What if it is "so necessary"? What if I’m fucking, but they’ll put me instead of a reward? ”So it was in Transnistria, when the 14 Army did not give weapons to the militias. This is also happening in Ukraine, although Putin promised to defend him, and he passed a law on troop entry.

The “family” described by Levkovich talented and evil (of which I would, of course, subtract Dobkin with looters and sadists, is normal) is a sign of undermining the liberal faith in Russian lack of initiative. For them, the Donbass is not only a break in the template, it is also a session of exorcism, therefore paresis and owl's ear break from the womb already on distant approaches. After all, Danila shoots without a flap from above.

Well, why? Ukraine today is Chechnya of the 91st model (i.e. the Chechen-Soviet Socialist Republic). Like in Chechnya, bandits seized power in Ukraine through an armed coup and with the patronage of foreign sponsors. And Novorossia here is similar to Ingushetia, which separated from the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and remained part of the RSFSR.

How much idle talk was that Yanukovych will be in Kiev by May 1 and deal with the junta !? He is a criminal worse than our Yeltsin and Gorbachev in relation to his people, but the question is, who does he consider to be his people if he is serving our time in Russia and does not lead the armed struggle of battalions in the Donbass and Lugansk region against the banderlogs that seized power ??!
Or is he waiting for Russia to return him there on a white horse ??
The Chilean president Allende was at his post to the end in La Monedo and will be remembered for centuries, he died for his people and has always been a symbol of honor and conscience of the Chilean nation, inspired its patriots to fight against the military junta - in Chile, there is no fascism. and Allende is a national hero! But Yanukovych was afraid, he really loves himself and his stolen millions, and he is not up to the formation of battalions named after himself, that’s how he will be remembered in history. A coward and a traitor!
Now Russia and our president have to settle everything in Ukraine for him, and most importantly, no matter how hard it is for us to retreat, otherwise we will face such a "maidan" of our traitorous liberals in Moscow, which will not seem like little!
Marsh, this is a rehearsal, and they dream of more, and the money has already been allocated to our scoundrels by the United States as much as 30 mln.dollars, now they need to be worked out!

Such simplification leads to fatal errors, because 100% of the analogies are not and cannot be!

It would be interesting to compare Crimea with Chechnya. Exactly the same armed coup, exactly the same declarations of independence. And just like that, fighters are now being sent from Crimea to mainland Ukraine - both militias and Crimeans officially declare this. If you try on an article in the Crimea, there will be an almost complete analogy, just less bloody, simply because there are Russian troops. The role of support is played by Russia, and in Chechnya there was the West and Arab countries. There are even local Russians - Tatars, who are trying in every way to shut up. In the same way, Crimea is voiced as Russian - not considering that there are also Ukrainians and Tatars. The same construction of a mononational state-va - well, or scoring.

Oh, I didn't want to, but I have to. The vumnik from the ruins was mistaken only in terms. It began not in 95, but in 91, exactly after trying to save the country. Yes, not all GKChPists were heroes and acted wisely. But the Yeltsins and Rutskiy, Shaposhikovs and Grachevs who opposed them are real traitors. Well, now about the results. For fans of Kadyrov with the Kadyrenysh, I recommend watching his interview with Shabolda Maksimovskaya on Saturday. Perhaps it will sober up someone, and he will wonder if Kadyrov loves Russia so much. Results of the war: from the very beginning, the Dudayevites and Kadyrovtsy opposed together with the Russians, the Chechens in f ... e, who killed our bandits in power. The semi-literate shepherd-professor pretends to be a politician and successfully "assimilates" the federal budget with his bandits, Russian refugees still live in barracks. Complete and final victory. But whose?

I remember conversations with civilians in Chechnya, they said that the war got them, that they want peace and tranquility, and normal conditions to work on their land and in their enterprises (which have not existed for several years), and wahhabis and bandits want war ...
Only those who had the power, weapons and gangs, ruled in Chechnya, and there was nowhere for the simple man to go and find the truth ...
I remember in every village there were inscriptions on the fences - "surname is an FSB spy", it was they who branded enemies and objectionable people and what happened to them, I think you can guess: interrogation with beatings, up to self-harm and bone-breaking, beating out a signature under the testimony and public execution or execution under Sharia law ...
After putting things in order in Chechnya, we held a referendum, and after more than ten years of banditry, war and lawlessness, the people of Chechnya 88% of those who came to vote chose to be part of the Russian Federation ...
I hope that in Ukraine people need to sober up and return to reality less time ...
(I do not call for Ukraine to be part of the Russian Federation; I call for PEACE and NEIGHBORHOOD and respect for the CHOICE OF OTHER PEOPLE ...)

The comparison is simply inappropriate: Chechnya in the 90s is a nationalist-criminal formation, whose inhabitants have arrogated to themselves the right to rob, kill and rape with impunity, that is, they have made robbery their way of life, there can be no question of any national liberation movement, as they tried before Until now, some "human rights activists" are trying to present the situation in Chechnya as Chechen, Ukrainian, and many foreign ones. On the other hand, the influence of foreign special services, which often led and financed the armed confrontation in Chechnya, was not without influence. The common people of Chechnya also suffered from the criminal regime of Dudayev and from the armed bacchanalia that followed it. As for "Novorossiya", here one can clearly see not only the features of the national liberation movement, in fact, not only from the colonial oppression of Ukrainian oligarchic nationalism and violent ukroinization, but also the desire to reunite with their mother Russia and the Russian people. This process was peaceful, illegal bandero -Fascist junta threw against essentially its own people the army and nationalist militarized formations, which are conducting a punitive operation against the people.

But Dzhokhara Dudaev didn’t the Kremlin — did she deliver to the Chechens — who before that did not know this man, certain political forces in Moscow — had appointed Dudaev there and allowed him to brew all this mess, could they stop right on time? but they didn’t do it, all because of the dough, from a Chechen friend I heard that their neighbor took a loan and brought this money home on two ZIL trucks full of money, some Chechens took very large loans, why they were given so much money is another question, but it was a drop in the ocean in comparison with the thefts that some gentlemen Jews made, it was necessary to write off everything, and so they started the war! Dzhokhar Dudaev was a Russian general in Russia, if you wanted, you could stop him immediately arresting, etc., but he was put there not for this, that’s the point! The Chechen people suffered the most from this war.

Events in Ukraine are the complete antipode to the events in Chechnya, if there were gangs and legitimate authorities fought with them, then in the case of Ukraine, supposedly legitimate authorities are gangs, and people in the South-East oppose them. Only now, for Russia, this Gordian knot is much more dangerous, if in the case of Chechnya we worked on our territory and a priori were right, then in the case of Ukraine we need to show the wonders of diplomacy before doing anything.

Those of Svidomo and their sympathizers who are trying to draw parallels between Chechnya and Novorossia should first of all compare the basic, "original" state. In Moscow, before the Chechen war, some pro-Western junta overthrew the Russian government and established de facto "external rule"? And after that Chechnya did not recognize this puppet "Moscow power" and decided to restore constitutional order at least on its territory? The most important difference in the Ukrainian situation is that just the illegal government from the West began to actively impose its lawlessness on the territories that did not take part in this Kiev bacchanalia. What kind of legality can we talk about if the Kiev junta swept away all constitutional norms outright, and a certain acting was put at the head of this gang. with completely unlimited powers that have nothing to do not only with the Ukrainian constitution, but in general with the constitution of any country in the world. The last time in world history, only Hitler at the head of the Nazi state had the same scope of authority, and from there it was evidently "licked". In other words, in Russia, in Chechnya, the law was rebellious, and in Ukraine, bandit lawlessness from Benderland swept its pig's snout further to the south-east, carrying along the way its "only correct" ideology.

The article, of course, is curious. But I read the comments and realized that some of them are much deeper than the article.
The author’s entire argument on the differences between Chechnya in the 90s and Novorossiya today comes down to listing: it was there, but it wasn’t.
And the difference, in my opinion, is different - in Chechnya it began with a struggle at a place near the feeding trough, and in New Russia it began with a struggle for human dignity.

The Ukrainian media are now scaring Chechen fighters who have arrived in the Donbass. At the same time they say that Putin himself sent them to Ukraine. From their words, the conclusion suggests itself that these are the same militants who fought against Russia. Hmm ... it turns out that Russia unleashed a war in Chechnya ... itself against itself ... BUT! They (the Ukrainian media) do not mention that those militants who fought in Chechnya were sponsored and supported by the current patrons of Kiev.

They explained to us that this is not terrorism, but the national liberation struggle and it is justified in every way. Therefore, aunt Thatcher and no one went to bury, as expected according to international etiquette.
And why, then, do we sympathize with their "twin towers"? - for some reason they do not want this national liberation at home, and for 11 years they have been arranging memorial services. But it looks like America got little.
