The radar complex (RLK) "Crossbow" is designed to provide round-the-clock, all-weather use of combat helicopters.
The main functions:
• mapping;
• ensuring the attack of ground, surface and air targets with the use of guided and unguided weapons;
• ensuring low-altitude flight;
• detection of aircraft attacking the helicopter, helicopters, missiles and shells;
• detection of dangerous weather patterns;
• correction of the navigation system and ensuring landing on non-equipped sites.
Estimated properties:
Ka-52 attack attack helicopters. Other types of helicopters (Ka-50-2, etc.) when adapting to the placement conditions. The Arbalet RLC includes the separately supplied Arbalet-L radar (the second module of the Arbalet Radar Line).
The radar "Arbalet-L" is designed to provide round-the-clock, all-weather use of combat helicopters.
The main functions:
• detection of aircraft attacking the helicopter, helicopters, missiles and shells;
• recognition of the type of targets attacking the helicopter;
• determining the degree of threat of detected air targets;

    Over MI-38 glad. ANSAT-I would like to see from other angles in this color. Where's the KA-62 ?. And in general, where was our small turntable-plans, there was a grader, and where is the result?

      Over MI-38 glad.

      But I’m anxious - what about the engines? Imported originally planned, and even the Canadian assembly.

        I partially agree with the respected avt: the Ka-60 is an extremely demanded, necessary machine, which has all the operational advantages of the Mi-2 and is devoid of many of its drawbacks. But the Mi-38 is a machine for the USSR, in my opinion, in Russia it will be in very limited demand. most likely, the fine-tuning (25-year-old) cars will finish in "partnership" with the Chinese (he suits them). By the way, imported engines, in my opinion, are not a minus, our technical and operational services have never tasted anything sweeter than carrots. are currently in a "neanderthal" state. Working with imported units will force a qualitative change, integrating into international service systems. But what really pleased me was the supra-sleeve antenna on the "mickey mouse" - I really hope they brought it to mind, and will soon begin to equip them machines previously supplied to the Air Force.

          There are no plans to refine the existing vehicles for over-the-vehicle radar, and so far the Ministry of Defense has not ordered new helicopters from this radar, and foreigners only want to.

        So in November 2013, the Mi-38 (the third prototype) made its first flight with Klimovsky TV7-117V. certification of these engines is scheduled for late 2014

          Here the logic of the line was this - to make the 60th car lighter and cheaper in all respects, including operation, than the 8ka, one might say an analogue of the Black Hawk, and for more "weight" tasks the 38th, which will allow not to drive the 26e. Perhaps an analogue could be the "Merlin" Eurocopter.

    It was at the same exhibition in 2012 that it was surprising that there were twice as many rivets on our helicopters as on imported ones, and the gaps between the parts of the helicopter body were quite struck, even the VAZ quality looks very, very against their background, and this concerns our and bourgeois devices ..

    Here it is just the peculiarities of technology and some lag in the field of new materials ("just ... are polymers"). At such speeds, gaps and rivets do not particularly affect, but maintainability is often even better - it is clearly easier to rivet than special glue and the features of its use, especially in Our State, and even somewhere in the north of Siberia. Even during the production of the MiG-29, in order to simplify and extend the life of some parts, rivets were abandoned.
