Medvedev demands to punish those responsible for disrupting state defense orders
At a meeting on the development of the military-industrial complex, the head of state recalled that in his message he spoke of the need to deliver "more 2010 ballistic missiles, land-based and sea-based missiles, five Iskander missile systems, around 30 units of modern armored vehicles, 300 helicopters, 30 combat aircraft, three submarines, one Corvette class ship, 28 spacecraft. "
“When I spoke, I didn’t come up with it myself. It was agreed with everyone sitting here (at the meeting). Why wasn’t it done? I’m waiting for an answer with suggestions. I’m sure that at that time half of those present would do active physical work in the fresh air. We need to respond to our commitments. We just look absolutely unacceptable, "said Medvedev.
"In March, at the Ministry of Defense collegium, I was actually talking about the failure of the state weapons program. Now I want to hear why it happened, who was punished and how. Report proposals with positions. If such proposals are not reported, industry leaders and government leaders must respond," Medvedev.
He called unacceptable when decisions are made at the highest level and not implemented.
