The Baltic plant launched the stern of the Russian helicopter carrier "Sevastopol"

St. Petersburg, April 30 (Artem Izyurov). The aft part of the helicopter-carrying amphibious dock of the “Mistral” type, named after “Sevastopol”, was launched on April 30 on the slipway A of the company “Baltic Plant - Shipbuilding”, the BaltInfo correspondent reports.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovations of St. Petersburg, Denis Mironov, the Baltiysky Zavod fulfilled the task on time and with due quality. “The ship will be fully assembled together with the French colleagues. We are confident that the work will be completed qualitatively and on time and will strengthen the relations between our enterprises, ”he said.

“Here we are talking about the descent of the ship, which occurs through 11 months after the descent of the first order, given that the second order costs much more saturation. The descent is made on the scheduled date, which confirms the flow of work in the right order with all the conditions. This descent also confirms the excellent relations that have developed between our enterprises, ”concluded Yves Joen, Director of Production for STX France. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work performed in St. Petersburg with the general course of the project.

Russia and France have signed a contract worth 1,12 billion dollars for the construction of universal amphibious assault ships of the Mistral type in June 2011 in St. Petersburg. It provides for the construction of the first two ships at the STX shipyard in the French Saint-Nazaire, Russia can build two more under license itself.

The first of two amphibious assault ships of the Mistral type, which were ordered in France, is the Vladivostok. It will be transferred to Russia this fall. The second ship was named in honor of Sevastopol. Both must be part of the Russian Navy in 2015.

The helicopter carrier and the amphibious assault ship dock of the Mistral type with a displacement of 21 thousand tons and a maximum length of the 210 hull meters can reach speeds of more than 18 nodes. Sailing range - to 20 thousand miles. The number of crew - 160 people, in addition the helicopter carrier can take on board 450 people. The air group includes 16 helicopters, of which six can simultaneously be stationed on the takeoff deck.

Everything goes according to plan. Our shipbuilders once again showed the whole world how they know how to work. Well done.

And the plan is this: now the slipway is completely free for the construction of the Arctic double-draft icebreaker "Arctic" of the 22220 project, laid down by 5 last November. Or is it better to take a slipway for the construction of another UDC called Odessa? wink !

          If you build another 2

And you will formulate and articulate the tasks for them, because the General Staff is still somehow languidly mumbling about the need for these two ...
It was a mistake or not to conclude a construction contract (JOINT), at the moment - a secondary matter.
Got experience in construction and READY ships.
If there is a need for several more similar vessels, it is easier to buy the same "Don Juan" from Spanishi.
With the ability to take off from the deck, not only "turntables", but also light aircraft.

Don Juan will never be sold to us; components and technologies from the USA are used there during the construction. The fact that the General Staff hums sluggishly does not mean that it does not know how and where to use the Mistral. Well, the BDK projects 775 and 1171 are not eternal, it's time to change them too.

Can we do it ourselves ?! Why bow to the "different" ?! In the end - "shod a flea"! What is weak ?! And you just need (necessary!) A strong-willed decision of the authorities! Or we, excuse me, are in shit, or an independent, self-sufficient state! Today this topic sounds only like that, not otherwise! Tough and unambiguous! It is up to the authorities to decide what Russia will be like tomorrow!

We can do it ourselves, the question is money. The Far Eastern 20380 corvettes are already 500 million dollars apiece, after renegotiating the contracts, they are 18 lard rubles. That is, at the price of MISTRAL.

You understand how much our Mistral will cost and how long it takes to build.

13 lards for Perfect and 13 lards for Loud. At the same time, Perfect already does not fit into 13 judges, judging by the latest tenders, the kit is bought with separate money. This is of course WE BUILD THE STANDARD!

But Mistral for the same money is a criminal deal.

and who needs it? besides, it’s just a trough, a slow-moving galosh, a huge target. The Navy has not yet decided what place in the structure of the fleet it will occupy.

          1 May 2014 12: 54
A BDK pr. 775 won’t be needed at all? They were driven from all fleets to overpower Syria and Crimea, and then, for the period of the Crimea, there was nothing corny to go to Syria. The result of the 2 flight per month, with standard 2 per week. But they are still a big target, as they are generally vulnerable to everything, even to the grandfather T-34-85 and other recoilless rollbacks / rollbacks of all calibers. The Mistral will not affect this circuit, since it will be within the reach of only guided missiles with a range greater than 6-7 km, or even 20.

No, of course, a corvette with a disabled SAM at the price of the Mistral is much more profitable!

I myself am a design engineer by training, I can say that it would take a long time and expensive to develop a new class ship project from scratch. If we started developing our project, now it would not even be ready, and the finished ship would not be available before 2020 years. In addition, without a school, experience and preparation for the construction of such ships, they probably would have built their project with a lot of shortcomings. And so we bought the main thing - not the ships themselves, but the full documentation for them, the finished project on the basis of which our new ones will already be developed projects and nat Ov stuffing. What we needed was already received - a project, documentation and training for the construction of such ships, even if the Franks break the contract, we are already winning. And for competent designers to change the project so that the Franks cannot sue for stealing a project, it’s not difficult. GENERALLY THESE SHIPS are a zero point for the line of subsequent ships that will be designed by our designers and built with us. Yes, if someone believes that if we have a school for building a BDK, then we can easily build a helicopter carrier - it's not that . Ours proposed to build such ships in Russia, but this was not our project, but the Korean one and it is inferior to the Franks. That is, we bought the necessary technologies for 1,2 billion, and if they break the contract we’ll also beat off the grandmother. By the way, the Americans did this in Ukraine — they bought a couple of samples of all the military products that Ukraine did for us: tanks, planes, and components.

The crews will arrive in France on board the Smolny training ship, which will also serve as a floating barracks for the crews until autumn.

I understand, of course, that shipbuilding is an expensive process. And how to reduce the cost - perhaps? Cutbacks, and premiums, on the contrary, raise. Tenders are held not with those who give more on their paw, but who really know how to do. The customer communicates with contractors through one, and not through three or five general contractors in turn.
And then I have a friend - a terrible engineer in an NGO in Vladivostok. They created a wind farm project for the APEC summit. They put a lot of effort so that the network of 18 - 20 windmills could start working for profit in 8 - 10 years (before the overhaul, the service life of the towers is 20 years). And the general contractor came, solidly moving the booty - one of the leading energy companies in Russia, and he says: self-sufficiency? Why do you need this??? We will design the project so that for each watt Moscow will also pay us over the entire life cycle.
Do you understand? These FIGs are absolutely financial, to a lesser extent industrial, but certainly not economic, but - GROUPS !!! So as not to say the group. Our fight, as if to save money to the budget. And in these OCGs, the pump is set up only for pumping dough ...
... So how, did you see wind energy at the Summit? ...
