The Federation Council approved the law on the entry of the Crimea and Sevastopol into the Russian Federation

The Council of the Federation at an extraordinary meeting on Friday approved the federal constitutional law “On the admission to the Russian Federation of the Republic of Crimea and the formation within the Russian Federation of new subjects - the Republic of Crimea and the city of federal importance Sevastopol”.
This document was submitted to Parliament by President Vladimir Putin.
The law of its first article establishes the grounds and timing of the adoption of the Crimea in the Russian Federation.
The grounds for accepting Crimea to Russia are, as stated in the law, the results of the all-Crimean referendum held by March 16, 2014, the Declaration of Independence of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, and the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea on the adoption of the Republic of Crimea in the Russian Federation and the formation of RF new subjects.
The third basis is “the proposals of the Republic of Crimea and cities with the special status of Sevastopol on the adoption in the Russian Federation of the Republic of Crimea, including the city with the special status of Sevastopol”.
And, finally, one more reason for adopting Crimea to Russia is the real federal constitutional law.
