The latest models of military equipment and weapons at the exhibition MILEX-2014
The latest models of military equipment and weapons, as well as the development of dual-use will be presented at the international exhibition MILEX-2014, which will be held in Minsk in the period from 9 to 12 in July 2014 of the year.
The exhibition, which will be held in the Belarusian capital for the seventh time, will be located at the largest site in the Minsk-Arena complex for the entire period of its conduct. At the disposal of the exhibitors it is planned to provide up to 12 thousand square meters. m indoor exhibition space. In addition, an exposition of military equipment (presumably up to 10 thousand square meters) will be organized in open areas near the complex.
Two sites will house about 20 thematic sections of the exhibition, visitors of which will be able to get acquainted with modern models of armored vehicles, missile, artillery and small arms, as well as air defense systems, technical means of providing troops, and information protection systems. Exhibitors will present their developments in the field of aviation and aerospace technologies, production of optoelectronic equipment, radiation, chemical and biological protection equipment, transport. Visitors to MILEX-2014 will also learn about the latest achievements in the field of modernization and repair of military equipment, ammunition disposal, military medicine and science.
For the first time, the “Perimeter Security Assurance” section will appear at 2014, an interest in which has already been shown in Ukraine and Belarus. The large-scale exposition at the exhibition will present enterprises of the Belarusian Goskomvoyenprom and the Russian corporation “Russian Technologies”, a separate block - the capabilities of the CSTO states.
In addition, an extensive exhibition business program is planned. Thus, within the framework of MILEX 2014, an international scientific conference will be held on military-technical and defense and security issues, as well as on issues of dual-use technologies.
In 2011, almost 150 organizations, enterprises, educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan participated in the exhibition. In 2014, an increase in the number of exhibits is expected.
The international exhibition of weapons and military equipment MILEX is held in the Belarusian capital since 2001. It is traditionally organized by the State Military and Industrial Committee, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and the National Exhibition Center "BelExpo" of the Republic of Belarus.
On average, MILEX, which is held every two years, is visited by more than 30 thousand people from more than 60 countries, including more than 10 thousand specialists.
