Marauding for the motherland?
Remember the old Soviet joke about a conscientious father who came home, weeping bitterly. “What happened?” Asks the little son. “The prices for alcohol were raised again,” the parent replied, choking with tears. “Well, do not worry, daddy, do not worry: now you will drink less,” the son reassures. “Not-eee !!! - already the father has gone into tears. “Now you will eat less ...” So it is in today's Ukraine now: the motherland is of a type in danger, and citizens have already been asked whether to drink and smoke less, or eat less ...
I, of course, mean an increase in excise taxes on alcohol and cigarettes. They are going to increase, respectively, by 8% and 15%, and to use the proceeds for defense needs. More precisely, they don’t agree to shed their blood for their homeland without food for the re-equipment of the army and for the maintenance of the National Guard. Not for this, they spent three months hanging out on Independence and burning tires on Grushevskogo Street ...
In the same way, the new Ukrainian authorities are going to increase the income tax and introduce taxes on deposits for the sake of military needs, possibly increasing the payment for energy carriers. And the money, again, is set aside for the needs of the brave "toy soldiers".
And, of course, in the vanguard of the struggle for a "healthy and strong army" and "reliable defense," the first leaders are the speaker of parliament, the acting. President and Supreme Commander Oleksandr Turchynov, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Andrei Paruby, who at the highest level in the state budget launched “increased funding” of both the Ukrainian armed forces and the National Guard, which is being set up for quick service. For "repelling the aggression of Russia", of course. The case is important and superpatriotic. From the state budget for this purpose, we decided to allocate more than 700 million dollars, cutting down many other social programs and actually changing the oil for guns.
And then it began. All "defend their homeland" according to the principle "to whom the war is, to whom the mother is native." And to whom “war is Klondike”. To combat the "imperialism of the Kremlin" launched the most muddy schemes of financing the army. For example, fees donations from people and money received from SMS messages on mobile phones. How much money will be received this way, where they will go and where they will disappear without a trace - this secret will not be known to anyone. If there is no control. And where will it come from, if the process’s “roof” is the tallest it can be ...
And this is already the tradition of “ryvolvation”. That is, by the way, the so-called “euromaidan”, which has enriched its “commissaries”, was financed, where flows of funds and all kinds of property and foodstuffs were not controlled by anyone. Here is the characteristic call of that recent troubled time on Facebook: “MAXIMUM REPLACE! we ask you NOT to bring food - canned food, “twists”, stocks in the Mikhailovsky Monastery! There are a lot of things. Do not need water, do not need anything. Watch only for announcements of medicines !!! I worked there all day — they were carrying everything that was needed. Now there is a surplus !!! Chocolates, sweets, bananas, good apples and oranges - immediately bring them to Maidan - hand out to the fighters! Hot food is also brought to them !!! Everyone is full, we try not just to feed everyone, but to feed them ”...
No one fed. But where everything brought and donated voluntarily went, no one knows ...
And then the "financing of the army" began, very reminiscent of elementary and banal looting, legalized and sanctified like "the needs of the Motherland" and camouflaged with noble and good intentions. There were also the first heroes! Recently, the deputy governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Boris Filatov, said that the governor, Igor Kolomoisky, from his personal money paid for fuel for the military units of the Southern Operational Command. And according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk national security headquarters, Yuri Bereza, the military units of the Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions were provided with Kolomoisky fuel by 100%, the Southern Command - by 50%. They even called the astronomical sum - almost 188 mln.
It would seem that it is time to shout "Hurray" and throw the hats of grateful citizens and citizens who were crying out from such generosity. The reality was much more mundane. It became known that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine 8-15 in March, according to the results of tenders, agreed to pay for the supply of fuel for the army in the total amount of 369,38 million UAH. Of these, most of the contracts for 187,73 mln. will receive "Ukrtatnafta", belonging to the structures ... correctly, Kolomoisky. And the tenders of "Ukrtatnafta" held by non-competitive procurement procedure from one participant. And the Ministry of Defense explained this "oddity" situation in Ukraine because of the events that occur in the Crimea. Well and, of course, the need to “maintain at the proper level the combat readiness of military units of the Armed Forces.
And one more example that has already become a classic is the confiscation of 17 of March of this year on the Russian-Ukrainian border of 43 KamAZ vehicles, which, under contracts between private entities, were marketed to Kazakhstan. Unknown people with weaponshaving presented themselves as “self-defense of the Maidan”, they said that this was “revenge of Russia for annexing Crimea”. And then they seized and “arrested” the entire fleet with storage and repair facilities to boot. "Navar" is not bad - more than 600 million rubles. And all this, as was announced, is also of the type transferred to the National Guard.
But this is not all. It seems that in the new Ukraine, under the guise, everyone who has such an opportunity decided to fill the pace. Why trifle? The war will write off everything ...
They work simply and straightforwardly: those who sit higher are stronger and enriched. Because levers and scoops abruptly. And most importantly - there is a type of Maidan blessing, whose "commandants" and led the process. In Ukraine, as you know, one of the ex-"commandants of the Maidan" Stepan Kubiv headed the National Bank of the country. And now, starting from 3 in March 2014, four banks have already lost their licenses and are declared insolvent. In all these financial institutions introduced a temporary administration appointed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund. And they all belong to the "former." “Brokbusinessbank” and “Real Bank” belonged to Sergey Kurchenko, a businessman who was tied up with “Family” - the entourage of the illegally overthrown President Viktor Yanukovych. Bank “Forum” was owned by Vadim Novinsky, a people's deputy from Sevastopol and a business partner of Ukraine’s richest man, Rinat Akhmetov, who for a long time was considered the “purse” of Yanukovich. A bank “Mercury” is suspected of being under the indirect control of structures close to the ex-chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Mikhail Dobkin, who is already under house arrest.
And this is just the beginning. The businessman, also an ex- "commandant of the Maidan", and now and. about. Minister of the Interior Arsen Avakov, who is on friendly terms with the current head of the NBU Kubivy, wrote on his Facebook page on 11 in March: “On the table is a report on more than 50 banks for washing tomorrow’s meeting. We want to finally and rigidly block this rudiment of the former “family system”. Fifty banks - this is almost a third of all financial institutions in the country. There is where to roam, profit and "revenge for the people" ...
And the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine heads, as is well known, also the ex-“commandant of the Maidan” Andrei Paruby. He also retransmits the will of the Maidan to protect the homeland, which is impossible without money. With his blessing, the Ukrainian government decided in general to continue not to waste time on trifles and rolled out the bill ... correctly - to Russia. After the loss of Crimea, Ukraine’s Minister of Justice Pavel Petrenko, at 17 March, said at his briefing: “Russia has not complied with the preliminary decision of the European Court of Human Rights regarding the immediate withdrawal of the military contingent and the cessation of military pressure on the civilian population. ... This gives us the opportunity within this judicial body to raise the issue of compensation for damages, including those related to the loss of property and property in the territory of Crimea, which occurred because of Russia. This is the fastest way to receive appropriate compensation. ”
At the same time, Petrenko said, Ukraine is processing appeals to the UN International Court of Justice regarding the encroachment of Russia on the territorial integrity of Ukraine and statements regarding the claims of Ukraine to the property of the former Soviet Union illegally distributed by Russia. That is, as you probably already guessed, it is a question of the so-called “zero option”, according to which after the collapse of the USSR all its property passed to Russia. In return, Russia in 1994 pledged to pay all the debts of the Soviet Union, freeing all new independent countries, the former Soviet republics. Including Ukraine.
Ukraine agreed with this, but did not sign the corresponding document. And throughout almost all the years of its independence, 23 has ultimately presented Moscow with this argument as soon as any tensions in bilateral relations were noted. It was a kind of magic wand, which Kiev will use again. “We are talking about real estate abroad, currency values that the Russian Federation received as the alleged successor of the Soviet Union, deposits of the former State Savings Bank, which Russia as of 1 in January 1992 did not return to the balance of Sberbank of the Ukrainian SSR,” - Minister Petrenko stated proudly and boldly.
And you know how much Ukraine asks Ukraine to return to her from the “blood”? Neither more nor less, and 80 billion dollars "without any indexation" (Petrenko)! Cool lips from the new owners of Ukraine - are widely rolled ...
The Russian Foreign Ministry has already repelled this attack, recalling that Ukraine had pledged to transfer, and the Russian Federation to commit to pay Ukraine’s share in the foreign debt of the former USSR as of December 1 1994. “At that time, this share was 6,8 billion US dollars. Now it is approaching 20 billions of US dollars. In this regard, in case the Ukrainian side returns to the problem of the “zero option”, the Russian side reserves the right to insist on immediate compensation by Ukraine of the RF for the 20 billions of US dollars of the debt of the former USSR. After that, we would be ready to consider the possibility of holding talks with Ukraine on other aspects of the “zero option”, the Russian foreign affairs agency reasonably stated.
But who listens to anyone's reasons when the games of patriots begin and these games are the only opportunity to make some noise about “love for the Motherland” and divert public attention from their own inability to lead the country and bring elementary order into it? Right, nobody ...

But in any case everyone understands why in the “struggle for the Motherland”, so looting, both the new Ukrainian state itself and its new leaders, who mounted “Olympus” as a result of a coup d'etat, are trying to. All of them work in the status of “acting” and, apparently, feel their temporality very keenly. And therefore they are fussing faster and fatter to convert power into denyuzhku.
