Ukraine: the new "Caribbean crisis"?
The last meeting of Lavrov-Kerry before the referendum in the Crimea lasted almost four hours in London. At the end of it, in the photo from the press conference, Sergey Lavrov looked stern, said that the meeting was “useful”, “Kerry did not threaten”, “Russia does not have an invasion plan for Ukraine”. John Kerry looked off to the side; he repeated the American theses on the illegitimacy of the referendum in the Crimea and the sanctions against Russia. That is, the summit ended to no avail for the Americans: Russia refused to follow in the wake of US policy.
What is left overs? Still, four o'clock spoke ...
Perhaps Lavrov very much asked Kerry to put pressure on his ambassador Payette in Kiev so that he would not even think of repeating it in Kharkov, and in general in the south-east of Ukraine, the Kiev Maidan. And, perhaps, he said that Moscow’s patience is running out, and she will tell the truth about who actually took power in Ukraine, and can provide documentary evidence. The former head of the Security Service of Ukraine Yakimenko arrived in Moscow not with empty hands ...
Our permanent representative to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, hinted at this: “The world would learn a lot of interesting things if Washington told the truth about its role in the occurrence and development of the crisis in Ukraine.” If we translate from a diplomatic language, this is a warning about the inevitable revelation if the US starts a new phase of escalation around events in Ukraine: then the world will know this truth ...
Telephone conversations of our Western “colleagues” during the “Maidan” about completely provocative cases that were published on the Internet, and caused international scandals, suggest that new revelations are possible. What could be other interesting “conversations” that have not yet been made public, and Lavrov introduced Kerry to them? Then it is clear why he “did not threaten”, and generally looked away ...
But the most important thing that Lavrov said: Moscow does not need intermediaries in relations with Ukraine, which means that there will be no relations and negotiations with puppets in Kiev. What then will be?
Then relations between Russia and Ukraine will begin to “collapse” rapidly, perhaps the Russian-Ukrainian border will be completely closed for everyone and everything, except for refugees. Perhaps the cessation of gas supplies to Ukraine, if not paid the debt to Gazprom. By the way, the EU hastened to declare that Gazprom will be paid from the trenches allocated to Ukraine. This is about 2-s billion dollars! So much for sanctions!
It seems that the West will soon have no time for sanctions! The rupture of economic relations between Russia and Ukraine is the “quick morgue” of the Ukrainian economy, and huge problems for the West. After all, he promised "Marshall Plan" for Ukraine! And today he speaks about one or two billion dollars, and then around April! Until April, Ukraine may simply not live: this amount is enough only to pay off debts to Gazprom.
Instead of help from Europe, the Ukrainian people are waiting for cuts in pensions, wages, social benefits, massive cuts in production, according to new agreements with the IMF. After such a “Marshall Plan”, the separated Crimea will become an island of tranquility, but in Ukraine everything will start, the main events of the Euro-Maid choice.
After all, the Kiev nationalist Maidan, several thousand armed militants in the center of the capital are waiting for Western help! They were promised that the West will help, and he is waiting for his last strength: he is already starting to fire at night ... The Maidan is already speaking at the meeting about his dissatisfaction with the Yatsenyuk government, what will the militants say when they are transferred to the American dry ration? This "help" Yatsenyuk lucky from America after negotiations with Obama ...
Now the question becomes relevant: from whom will the government of Yatsenyuk fall? From the armed Maidan and flourished Makhnovshchina in the "new Ukraine", or the uprising of a hungry people who took to the streets of the workers who lost their jobs? The dilemma between a very bad ending and a very, very bad one.
But the "invasion of the Russian troops" really will not. In the Crimea, after all, there was no invasion! In the south-east of Ukraine, if it "begins" there, Russia will most likely provide assistance to local Self-Defense Forces, according to the Crimean scenario.
American political scientist Lyndon LaRouche said that “on the margins of Ukraine, the US is trying to break Russia,” or, we add, Russia will break the unipolar American world. Such high stakes explain Washington’s bitterness over the Crimea, and Russia's position on Ukraine in general. And bring to mind the 1962 Caribbean crisis of the year.
He broke out at the side of the United States, then they were preparing an invasion of Cuba, and the Soviet Union took it under protection, and deployed atomic missiles in Cuba. The world hung in the balance ... The crisis in Ukraine is near Russia, it has its own specifics, but analogies are visible, in fact, the new crisis will also determine the fate of the world: unipolar or multipolar.
The cooling of relations between Russia and the West is considered by most analysts to be inevitable, but to whom will it benefit more? The non-Western world will support Russia, India and China make it clear already. Russia has no choice: Moscow is behind Ukraine!
