"Shvabe" improved the night sight

The new night sight PNHNUMX-23, as well as other popular sights and observation devices manufactured by Shvabe - Defense and Protection, are presented at the Hunting and Fishing in Russia exhibition that opened on February 3 in Moscow.

From February 26 to March 2 in Moscow at the All-Russian Exhibition Center the exhibition “Hunting and Fishing in Russia” will be held. Shvabe - Defense and Protection OJSC presents its traditional, already popular, and new products. Among the novelties is the PN23-3 night sight with a black and white image.

Devices with a black and white electron-optical converter (EOC) have several indisputable advantages:

- they give a more contrast image (when observing noticeably more details);

- black-and-white image less injures the eye, and the observation through such a device can last longer without the effect of temporary blinding of the working eye;

- The traditional manual gain control for these scopes extends the use time of the device from early twilight to deep darkness.

The exhibition also presents other popular sights and observation devices manufactured by Shvabe - Defense and Protection. Among them: night sights PN2М, night sights series PN19K, PN23, day sights.

The company invites visitors to its booth (No. H-204 in Pavilion No. 69), recalling that on the days of the exhibition, the products will be available at factory prices.

OJSC Shvabe - Defense and Protection today produces 30% civil and 70% defense products. The holding has set the enterprise the task of achieving a ratio for the production of civilian and defense products - 50% by 50%.

HOLDING "SHVABE" unites the main Russian enterprises of the optical-electronic industry. It consists of 19 organizations, including research institutes, design offices, research and production associations. The holding's enterprises develop and produce high-tech optical-electronic systems and complexes for military and civil purposes, optical materials, medical equipment, and energy-efficient lighting engineering.

    No one is against quality surveillance and aiming tools, but the article is similar to an advertising one. It is necessary that such things be evaluated by practitioners, and not just developers and buyers from the Moscow Region. Indeed, behind all the equipment and weapons are the lives of our soldiers.

    What could not have come up with a different name for the holding?
    Are there not so many talented inventors and scientists in Russia?
    It would be better to name Shipunov - by the name of our Tula designer-inventor of guns, missiles, etc.

        On this "Shvab" my brother in Yekaterinburg worked as a designer (OMZ named after Yalamov). They did good things for aviation, so it's a shame, where does Shvabe have to do with it?

          So Schwabe is a surname. Fyodor Borisovich Schwabe is an entrepreneur of Austrian origin who, as early as 1837, opened the first optics manufacturing company in Russia. In 1941, plant No. 217 (formerly Schwabe workshops), together with 10 thousand workers, engineers and office workers and members of their families, was transferred to the Urals, to Sverdlovsk. So the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant was born.

      Well, it’s probably just that Ours doesn’t tell and show everything, and those in the blood have a habit of PR, and just like that, my friend recently had the opportunity to look at special optics, so he’s a photographer with more than 15 years of experience, and we’ll say directly not really appreciating native optics (civilian) in quality, although recognizing that the price-quality ratio of optics in the USSR didn’t look very bad, so returning to the topic, looking through this special optics I didn’t feel it, the picture is so clear and without blur and this with diameter e main lens of 1200mm !!!
      And even so, the Yankees themselves, in addition to astronomical optics, also note that it’s not a fact that they simply are not assembled from other people's materials, they are not pulled in this direction. As a reference, the Kodak legend was based on the optics of the Schneider company (Germany), now part of the group formed by PhaseOne (Denmark) - Mamiya (Japan), then the Zeus optics were often installed on the same legend, the conclusion seems obvious, countries are really capable of producing Optics units. or rather, from the fact that we know two, Germany and Japan. we are simply not so informed about ours to understand our place.

      Russian Austrian (according to other sources - Swiss) Fyodor (Theodor) Borisovich Schwabe - the founder of the optical industry in Russia.
      More information about him:
      Rebranding was carried out by the designers of the British agency HuntHaggarty. Among his clients are companies such as Dell, Google, Motorola, Nokia, Coca-Cola, Adidas. Rebranding was necessary so that the holding, in the opinion of its management, could compete on equal terms with leading world companies.

      Appearance is deceptive, on the one hand, "kink" is considered a special form and not everyone is allowed to wear it, although now at all official events it is worn by everyone indiscriminately, for the sake of uniformity. On the other hand, elbows sticking out in a splash inviting an accidental bullet to crush the elbow joint and break the elbow and shoulder muscles, cast doubt on the belonging of the person depicted in the photo to the special forces ...

    Specially registered to answer questions about the device, and to check the feedback.
    1. The sight is called PN23-3, it has been produced since the beginning of 2013, the above characteristics are generally true, only this modification has a parallax detuning and a bracket for the IR flashlight. As for the differences and the very essence of the news, they simply put a black and white image intensifier tube in this device, there is nothing supernatural in this.
    2. The price of the PN23-3 sight with a green image of 172060 rubles, with black and white for 2000 rubles. more expensive.
    3. The device is civil, for hunters. Shock-resistant to 9,3x62 mm caliber. For MO, another device with a different designation is also available, also light (670 gr. Without crown), and compact.
    4. For installation on the Picatinny rail there. It is also possible to install weapons on any other seat.
    5. This article is not advertising, was revised based on the news of the manufacturer of this device [media = http: //].
    6. In the photo there is a guy, airsoft player, lefty, sight PN23. The photo was taken during the filming of a film about the plant and the use of its products; airsoft players were invited to shoot some scenes.
    Sincerely, Elovenko, Oil Refinery
