Iraq war 2003-2011

3
8 years ago, 20 March 2003, US President George W. Bush declared war on Iraq and Saddam Hussein. The heavens opened, a hail of bombs and bullets hit the earth. It seemed that the war would end very soon. People rejoiced, Saddam escaped, but was not yet found, and Bush announces the mission accomplished. However, the following months and years after this victorious speech showed another history. The interfaith conflict between the Sunnis and Shiites, and all against the allied forces, turned Iraq into a zone of civil war. 8 years of struggle, thousands of dead, hundreds of thousands of crippled, and a generation of children growing up in a hostile environment.
