A large part of the population believes that they need weapons to defend themselves. From whom? From the UN. From the federal government. From aliens. Maybe from zombies. Does not matter. Comrade Chomsky, let us add on our part, thereby explaining popularly that Americans are afraid of everyone because they have been oppressing everyone for centuries, constantly “attacking someone’s neck”. The Indians, on American happiness, have long gone down in history. But to the blacks and immigrants from Latin America, but you can easily add hordes of international terrorists, which Comrade Chomsky probably forgot. The image of al-Qaeda is drawn in the American media with stunning consistency. The more often it is drawn, the more the United States sticks its nose to Iraq, then to Afghanistan, now to Syria, somewhere else, where they are not welcomed either. And the terrible Russian? And the Chinese? American philistines really should be afraid of everyone: after all, the US government is doing nothing but arouse hatred of the star-striped flag all over the globe.
