"Bloody dogs of the Kremlin." Is it true?
This is the title of the material published by 15 on January 2014 of the year in the German magazine Der Spiegel. Literally, it sounds like this: "Russlands Spezialeinheiten: Bluthunde des Kreml". The publication itself needs no introduction, as well as the fact that since the times of the USSR it has not exactly breathed in relation to our country.
COURAGE AND “MILITARY CRIMES”
On the Internet, there was even a discussion about the title. There were well-wishers who began to assure: bluthund is, say, cop dogs, bloodhounds. Therefore, we are talking about the breed of dogs. But only!
However, anyone familiar with the German language will clarify: the word “bluthund” in relation to a person has a clearly negative meaning, it means “bloodsucker”, “blood dog”. Actually, this is why many readers of Der Spiegel on the magazine’s forum left their negative comments, including with regard to the title - the Germans understood everything correctly!
And in this regard, the first question: how would the veterans of the German special services react if one of the leading Russian magazines soldered an essay entitled: “Employees of the GHA-9 are bloody dogs Angels Merkel?” And then, let's say, would link it with the Israeli death delegations to the Olympic Games in Munich (1972 year).
A version of the essay was published by Profil magazine, which is published in Russia together with Der Spiegel magazine. The title, however, slightly corrected: "The Kremlin watchdogs." However, horseradish radish is not sweeter.
The author of the “masterpiece” is Matthias Schepp. He has been working in Moscow for a long time, with a break in China. Nine years old - not a cat started! It was all the more interesting to read his libel, timed to the Sochi Olympics.
As you know, any article begins with an introduction. Like an overture in a musical work, it includes major themes that are further developed. So, we read: “The Moscow correspondent of the German magazine Der Spiegel Matthias Schepp met with several special forces officers. Interrupting their long-term silence, they for the first time revealed some details of the taking of hostages in the Dubrovka theater and operations in Afghanistan and Chechnya.
"It stories, - writes Mr. Shepp, - about great courage and amazing willingness to make sacrifices, but also about war crimes and disillusionment in a state that sends troops to the hardest tasks, decorates soldiers and officers with orders, and then simply forgets about veterans of elite units as if they were not there. ”
Two key points are striking. Firstly, the word “for the first time”, secondly, “war crimes”. In other words, the special forces with whom the journalist met - war criminals! They, and military teams in which they served.
As a journalist with some experience, Mr. Shepp must understand that the concept of "war crimes" is not a figure of speech; it, this concept, must have a specific confirmation, supported by a court decision or a body of justice. Otherwise, it is a lie, nonsense, a way of waging an information war.
Oh, by the way - about "for the first time." Mr. Shepp obviously lost his temper. Figures of the essay, officers of Group A, have repeatedly told in the press about the operations carried out, including on the pages of our newspaper Special Forces of Russia.
Among the five heroes of the essay, two are the officers of Group A: Colonel Emyshev Valery Petrovich, from the first composition of Alpha, a participant in the storming of Amin’s palace, and Colonel Mikhailov Alexander Vladimirovich.
Three more represent the GRU and the special forces of the Interior Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (spotted berets). Among them is the colonel
Vladimir Kvachkov, known for his extremely harsh attitude towards Vladimir Putin and imprisoned on charges of preparing a military coup.
"UNDER VODKA AND SNOWFISH"
I'll start with Colonel Emyshev. We are talking about the storming of the palace of Amin (Afghanistan). Valery Petrovich was indeed the first to make his way to the Taj Beck, where he lost his hand as a result of shrapnel wounds. And he, the party organizer of Group A of the KGB of the USSR, in fact, adhered to communist views to the end. It's all true. Colonel Emyshev passed away in September 2012. The story comes from a man who is almost a half year dead
Colonel Emyshev passed away in September 2012. The story comes from a man who is almost a half year dead
And now - attention! “Now his Alpha, as the veteran told (for vodka and snacks), besides freeing the hostages, is responsible for guarding the dictator of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and at the same time guarantees that the Kremlin’s first signal“ merges ”.”
Under the vodka and snack ... So, the veteran chatted on a drunken bench, gave the secret of state importance to a visiting correspondent from Germany.
Colonel Emyshev passed away in September 2012. That is, the story comes from a man who almost a half year as no longer alive! That's how it turns out, however. Valery Petrovich died of cancer, with which he courageously fought, remaining in a clear memory. He was practically unable to drink.
The interview itself took place in 2009. Valery Petrovich set a tough condition: he agrees to a conversation if he is given the opportunity to familiarize himself with the material and make changes to it that he deems necessary to do. “Of course, of course!” They promised him.
As the Russian proverb says, they have been waiting for the promised three years. In this case, Emyshev did not wait at all. Died I did not see this libel.
But maybe Valery Petrovich still spoke about Ramzan Kadyrov? And this is where Yulia Emysheva, the daughter of the Group A veteran of the KGB of the USSR, comes to our rescue. She was present during the conversation "from" and "before." She said that the conversation took place in the gazebo in their country house, that Mattias Shepp brought as a gift a bottle of wine, which is still uncorked.
So, Yulia Valeryevna unequivocally asserts: “During the interview, the“ grandfather ”spoke a lot about Afghanistan, about Viktor F. Karpukhin. The theme of Chechnya did not rise at all, as Kadyrov was not mentioned either. ”
Perhaps Mr. Shepp did not know about the death of Valery Petrovich? Or vice versa - I knew, and therefore I decided to insert the words about Ramzan Kadyrov. Yemyshev after all will not be able to refute. Dead shame not imut.
But bad luck! There is a witness to that conversation at the dacha in Tagankovo, Yulia Emysheva. For the honor of her father, she is even ready to sue the author of the article.
EVERYTHING MIXED IN OBLONSKY'S HOUSE
Another hero of the essay, designed to illustrate the phrase about the “war crimes” of the special forces, was Colonel Alexander Mikhailov. He met with Mr. Shepp only once. However, not in the 2013 year, allegedly, but in October 26 2009, in Dubrovka. That is, for four and a half years, the German journalist was clearly not in a hurry to do the interview, but realized it just before the Olympics in Sochi!
Employees of "Alpha" and "Vympel", as if wound up, carried out from the hall hostages
The correspondent was brought by Dmitry Belyakov, famous for the series of photo portraits "Faces of Special Forces" and a report from Beslan. About him a special conversation. For now we confine ourselves to the fact that D. Belyakov also attended 26 of October 2009 of the year in Dubrovka and participated in the conversation.
Colonel Mikhailov talked about how the assault took place and what preceded it. He tried to convey to the interlocutor the main idea that in those circumstances "the guys showed courage, resilience and high professionalism."
As a remark: after the release to the reserve, Colonel Mikhailov repeatedly gave interviews to the largest Russian publications, and also raised the subject of “Nord-Ost” to a wide variety of audiences. So, his words have never sounded a negative evaluation of the operation at Dubrovka. Everything was done that could be done in those extremely difficult conditions. That is his fundamental assessment.
From left to right: Alexander Mikhailov, the commander of Group "A" in 1991-1992. Mikhail Golovatov and the first head of Kiev Alpha Peter Zakrevsky
Now let's see what Mr. Shepp said on the pages of Der Spiegel. “The assault, the participant in the events explains, was supposed to be a triumph for the Russian special services, but turned into a real catastrophe.” What can I say? “Everything is mixed up in the Oblonskys' house” - Leo Tolstoy wrote in the novel “War and Peace”. Similarly, everything is mixed up in the essay of Mr. Shepp. More precisely, mixed consciously.
Employees of “Alpha” and “Vympel” took hostages for four hours? Yes, this is nonsense ... Go ahead. Special Forces, moving on the roof of the theatrical complex, was really "illuminated." But by whom, let me ask? TV journalists who played into the hands of Movsar Barayev’s terrorists. But these are questions to journalists, to their conscience and decency, and not to the operational headquarters, and even more so to the special forces.
In any special operation there are "working moments". For example, two or three employees from the Mikhailov group did not have gas masks. So what? By the time it was decided to start the assault, they were already inside the complex. Therefore, Mikhailov forbade them to enter the hall, but when the rescue phase began, they made themselves gauze bandages and, together with other special forces, carried the hostages out of the hall.
Speaking about this to Mr. Shepp, Alexander Vladimirovich emphasized the exceptional courage of the employees of Alpha and Vympel, from the bullets of which not a single hostage was injured. All of them went to Nord-Ost voluntarily and well understood what they were facing. After all, had a combined explosion occurred, and all those who were in the hall — both hostages and special forces — would have been buried under collapsing multi-ton ceilings.
If you listen to Mr. Shepp, then there was complete chaos at Dubrovka. In fact, the special operation was carried out at the highest level, which, by the way, was not spoken in the foreign press by any random people, but by anti-terror professionals who knew the price of life and death.
Go ahead. “In the first Chechen war, the Kremlin, then headed by Yeltsin, sent Mikhailov's unit in Grozny in August to 1994 to catch the militants,” says Mr Schepp.
The German journalist confusedly confused everything that could be confused. First, in August 1994, no one sent Alpha to Grozny. The war has not yet begun. Secondly, we are talking about the breakthrough of Group A employees in the UFSB building during the fierce battles of the summer of 1996, when militant groups suddenly entered the Chechen capital. Thanks to the courage and composure of the anti-terror fighters, the building was held for almost twenty days, and then everyone who was there came out of the encirclement by order.
Evaluating the essay of Mr. Shepp, you can quote one more Russian classic, Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov: “The horses, people, and volleys of thousands of guns merged into a drawn-out howl”.
... Let's return to the personality of a person, thanks to whom photographs from the archive of Emyshev and Mikhailov turned up in Der Spiegel. In 2009, the thirty-five years of the legendary Group A of the KGB-FSB was executed. One of Mikhailov’s comrades introduced him to the photographer Dmitry Belyakov, who popularized the Russian Special Forces. For this, in fact, Mikhailov and met with him. The result of their communication was an extensive interview published in the journal "Brother" for the anniversary of the unit.
Preparing the material, Belyakov asked Mikhailov for illustrations, and Alexander Vladimirovich provided pictures from his personal archive. Some of them were housed in Brothers.
And now some photos of Emyshev and Mikhailov, which Belyakov re-photographed, were suddenly published by Der Spiegel. At the same time, the editors clarified: “Archiv Alexander Mikhailov”, “Archiv Valery Yemyshev”. As if she received these pictures from them.
However, neither Mikhailov, nor Emyshev (in the person of his heirs) gave permission to publish archival photographs. Moreover, they did not transmit them to the German edition at all. How, then, is the ethics of journalism and ownership? I would like to get an answer: Dmitry, who do you work for? How could such a thing happen?
History ugly in all respects. And she needs her permission.
Kvachkov and Khodorkovsky. A CURTAIN!
Naturally, the centerpiece in the essay is given to Colonel Vladimir Kvachkov, who is presented to readers as a political leader, antagonist of Anatoly Chubais, a staunch anti-Semite and a pro who at his own risk advised the "war criminal Radko Mladić."
But at the same time ...
“When he was imprisoned in the case of the attempted assassination of Anatoly Chubais,” says Mr. Shepp, “he spent a month in the same cell with Mikhail Khodorkovsky. To plant the militant nationalist together with the Jew Khodorkovsky, who was liberated in December, was a special gesture of the Kremlin. Today Kvachkov respectfully speaks of Khodorkovsky. He inextricably linked his life with Russia, they are both victims of “international capital”.
Interestingly it turns out, isn't it? ..
“The extremist is supported by many special forces soldiers,” says a German journalist. - Most of them are nostalgic for the lost Soviet empire, even if they only remember it from childhood memories. They hate America, NATO, and "all the crazy liberals in Moscow." They have a low opinion of democracy, but they respect a strong ruler. So, it was those who should protect the country from terrorists and insurgents who found themselves in difficult relations with the modern state. ”
Thus, with a flick of the wrist “many Special Forces fighters” turn into extremists, ready to participate in the military coup a la Kvachkov. So literally follows from the text.
Essay ends so. The special forces veteran Sergey Illarionov is called by his comrade. “Sergey Trofimov's melancholic song is on the call. “Russia does not favor us either with fame or with the ruble, but we are its last soldiers ... And that means we must stand up until we die,” comes from the telephone. ”
Everything. A curtain.
This is how sensations are fabricated ...
This is how journalist Mattias Schepp, who has long lived in Russia and even found a life friend here named Marina, belongs to our country, publishing a libel on a given topic.
So before the Olympics in Sochi, one of the largest European magazines creates an image of the “Kremlin’s bloody dogs”, exploding a powerful information bomb.
This is how white turns into black, the special forces' heroes turn into war criminals, and the country to which they faithfully served is exposed as a heartless stepmother.
Yes, it was!
This was the case with the “best German” Gorbachev, who, during the period of perestroika, sent the military and special forces to conduct military actions (for example, in Vilnius), and then refused them.
That was the case with another beacon of liberals, although not so beloved in the West, Boris Yeltsin, who in October 1993 shot from tanks the country's parliament, and then staged a "small victorious war" in Chechnya.
Things have changed for the better in 2000's. And it is even difficult for the current generation of Alpha officers to imagine a situation where veterans equip them for war! But this was ... it was recently, during the First Chechen campaign.
That is why the false assertion is that “those who should protect the country from terrorists and insurgents, found themselves in difficult relations with the modern state”. This is Mr. Shepp’s difficult relationship with Russia, which is why it’s so hard for him to work with us. With his black-eye essay, timed to coincide with the Olympic Games in Sochi, Mr. Shepp simultaneously tried to set up Russian authorities against the special forces community. See, here they are! Well, in the information war, as we see, all methods are good. And for Der Spiegel magazine, nothing has changed in this regard. The Soviet Union, Russia ... How were the enemies, and stayed! Is that so?
It is good, however, that a significant number of Germans do not think in the categories of the Cold War. Evidence of this are negative comments to the essay. His author can only recall the proverb: “Das schlechteste Rad knarrt am meisten”. Translated into Russian, it sounds like this: “A bad wheel creaks stronger than others.”
Bernhard
This is pure propaganda again! Every state has its own "bloody dogs"! Why don't you portray the US Special Forces in such a critical way? Or Germany ... Otherwise, it seems that you are a low-objective institution of Western intelligence agencies.
Jerry Fletcher
I think the article title is completely unfortunate. Bloody dogs ?? !! We are talking about elite special forces, and such exist in the United States, Britain, Germany and France. However, it is unlikely that anyone will say “the bloody dogs of the White House” or “The bloody dogs of Mommies” - (meaning Merkel - Ed.) ... China is no longer the editors' goal, at present this goal is Russia. Therefore, trying to use any cliché, do not even disdain to use false information.

Popular media have always forgotten that today's Russia, which is constantly being bombarded, is the birthplace of people who two generations ago played a major role in liberating Germany from fascism. The number of human victims is known. However, while every Jew is fair! - enjoys universal respect and honor, Russians are constantly being spat upon, as a nation and as a collective. Goebbels just dances on his grave
ARE YOU WHO, MR. SHEPP?
The editors of the Special Forces of Russia asked to comment on the situation related to the defamatory publication in the magazine Der Spiegel, Colonel Alexander Mikhailov:
- To write about a successful or unsuccessful special operation, giving assessments, a person who first of all understands the tactics of conducting special operations to free hostages has the right to do this. I want to notice right away: his knowledge should be above average on this topic. As far as I understand from your opus, Mr. Shepp, you do not possess such knowledge.
In order to hold such serious events, it is also necessary to know the general situation in Moscow and other cities and towns. All this and much more is included in the tactics of preparing a special operation ... And, of course, you need to know the very terminology and use it correctly, talking about the fight against terrorism.
Making political concessions to terrorists is “more expensive”. And so our leadership in October 2002 of the year made the only correct (at that time) decision - the assault! Remember Budyonnovsk when Prime Minister Chernomyrdin, a “professional negotiator,” released Shamil Basayev's gang. And then this scoundrel then terrorized Russia for about ten years with his attacks from around the corner, trying to put her on her knees. Did not work - was destroyed!
As for Nord-Ost, the special forces did the main thing that day, made a miracle: in that difficult situation did not allow the collapse of the multi-ton ceiling. By the way, Mr. Shepp, risking your life! Thanks to the courage and professionalism of the employees of Alpha and Vympel, more than seven hundred people were saved. And all your comments, Mr. Shepp, about the lack of gas masks, the display of special forces soldiers on the roof and any inconsistencies are just working moments.
Yes, it is possible that, in close cooperation with the doctors and the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it was possible to save some more people. But this question is not to the special forces, as we say: "the question is not about salary."
And I want to repeat once again for the retardants and those who want to defame, defame and distort the operation to free hostages at Dubrovka. The officers of the security forces and the special forces completed the task on 120%. By the way, especially for you, Mr. Shepp, I inform you: our staff, studying the Internet after the events at Dubrovka, made a selection of speeches by experts on the counterterrorism of western countries - SAS, GIGN, Cobra, Delta and Israelis, who appreciated the special operation positively. And who are you? Specialist, or what?
In conclusion, I want to say this. 2014 is the year of the 40 anniversary of the legendary division, the anniversary of Group A. And many journalists will want to interview you, comrades, veterans, to talk with you. Be careful in your speeches and judgments! Scoundrels, scoundrels from journalism are too many. There are those who work on the fifth column. So let the whole story connected with the publication in the magazine Der Spiegel be a good lesson and a warning.
