Makarovets Nikolay AleksandrovichHero of the Russian Federation, winner of the Lenin Prize, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, Director General and General Designer of FSUE “SRPP” Splav ”, Honored Worker of Education, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honorary Citizen of Tula.

21 was born in March 1939 in the city of Krolevets, Sumy region (Ukraine). Father - Makarovets Alexander Nikitovich (1912 – 1991), teacher, participant of the Great Patriotic War. Mother - Makarovets Tamara Yuryevna (1914 – 2002), teacher. Wife - Beresneva Viktoriya Ivanovna (1939, born). Daughter - Makarovets Natalya Nikolaevna (1967, city of birth.). Grandson - Andrew. Granddaughter - Mariana.

Director General and General Designer of FSUE “SNPP“ Splav ”” Nikolai Aleksandrovich Makarovets is one of the most well-known and respected leaders of defense enterprises in Russia. The text of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on awarding him with the Order for Services to the Fatherland of the II degree states that he was awarded a high award “for the creation of new types of equipment”. Everyone who is in Russia, and in the world in any way connected with the artillery armament, understands that we are talking about multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) “Grad-1”, “Prima”, “Uragan” and have not been surpassed to this day. in the world in terms of technical characteristics of MLRS Smerch. Name N.A. Makarovtsa is inextricably linked with the design and launch of the MLRS.

Kolya Makarovts was 2 of the year when his native Krolevets was occupied by the Germans. He recalls: “We, the children, did not really understand the whole tragedy of the situation. However, the fear of our mothers for us, the feeling of hunger, poverty, injustice, the feats of the fathers are forever reflected in our characters. We passionately wanted to learn, knowing that this is the only way to escape from the captivity of life troubles. Have I forever preserved the memory and loyalty of the Krolevets school? 1, where he was secretary of the Komsomol organization, graduated from school with a medal and has been there for almost 50 for years. I patronize the memory of my parents-teachers over one of the lower grades. This school was attended by three Heroes of the Soviet Union and I, the Hero of the Russian Federation. Memorial plaques have been opened in our honor. ”

Nikolai Makarovets graduated in Tula, graduating from the Tula Mechanical Institute in 1962 with a degree in aircraft engines. According to the distribution, he went to work in the city of Biysk, Altai Territory, in the PO Box 28 (Altai Scientific Research Institute of Chemical Technology - Scientific and Production Association "Altai"), where he started as an engineer. Then he worked as a senior engineer, sector leader, head of laboratory, head of department. In 1969, he defended his thesis.

In 1965, on the initiative of N.A. Makarovts organized a laboratory that was transformed into 1971 in the year in charge of developing methods for calculating the intraballistic, energy characteristics, burning rates of solid propellant rocket engine charges. These developments are embodied in the creation of the first domestic intercontinental solid-fuel rocket RT-2. The scientific results of studies of that period of time were published in the books Designing and Testing of Solid Propellant Solid Propellant Chargers, On the Acceptance Control of Large-Size Solid-Fuel Charges, as well as in numerous articles and inventions.

In 1977, Nikolai Alexandrovich is appointed deputy general director of the NPO Altai.

For the period of work in NPO Altai N.A. Makarovets made a significant scientific contribution to the creation of methods for calculating the intrinsic characteristics of a solid propellant rocket motor, carried out scientific management of the development and introduction of ballistic missiles for rocket engines into mass production, was a member of the State Commission for Testing Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles. For these works in the 1984 year he was awarded the Lenin Prize.

N.A. recalls Makarovets: “Thousands of young specialists from many universities of the country came to the city of Biysk from 1954 to 1970 a year to the newly built defense enterprises. We, young engineers, have been entrusted with solving the most complicated tasks of creating solid fuels, rocket engine charges, combat units, equipment. I was lucky that the team was headed by an outstanding organizer and scientist, designer, twice Hero of Socialist Labor, Ya.F. Savchenko. I sincerely consider him one of my teachers. The spirit of creativity that prevailed in the enterprise, work in cooperation with organizations, where great designers, academicians S.P. Korolev, M.K. Yangel (then VF Utkin), V.P. Makeev, L.N. Lavrov, allowed us to quickly become professionals and successfully solve the problem of creating solid-fuel intercontinental rockets. When I became the deputy general director, I was greatly influenced by the style of work of the Minister of Mechanical Engineering V.V. Bakhireva - it was an outstanding organizer of the defense industry, who played a big role in my fate. The beautiful nature of the Altai Territory, its vast territory made me a car enthusiast. Therefore, having bought an old “Moskvich-1972” in 408, I, a spouse, and two friends made the Moscow-Elbrus-Baku-Krasnovodsk-Ashkhabad-Bukhara-Samarkand-Frunze-Alma-Ata-Semipalatinsk-Barnaul-Biisk motor rally. Having passed along this route, we experienced our characters, had many adventures, learned not to be afraid of everyday difficulties. ”

In November, 1985, Nikolai Alexandrovich moved to the city, long famous for being the capital of Russian gunsmiths, Tula, was appointed General Director of the Splav Production Association (now the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Splav” State Research and Production Enterprise - FSUE “Splav” "). “I was aware,” recalls N.A. Makarovets, - that a very responsible post is entrusted to me, that my suggestions, actions, deeds will be scrupulously evaluated by the team of “Splava”, which determines the conformity of my competence to the position held and the level of the institute ”. There was nothing surprising in this - the enterprise was famous for its unique developments; outstanding scientists, such as A.N. Ganichev, G.A. Denezhkin, R.A. Kobylin, V.I. Medvedev, N.S. Chukov.

To share N.A. Makarovtsi fell to lead the current stage of development of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), surpass foreign analogues in their characteristics. Shortly after he assumed the position of general director (11 in December 1985), state tests of the third-generation Smerch MLRS (300 projectile caliber, firing range to 90 km), which has a control unit onboard the missile, reduced the dispersion shells in 3 times compared with an unguided rocket, while increasing the accuracy of fire in 2 times. There was a lot of work to organize the serial production of products to this system at the plants of the industry. Already in the 1986 year, 9 plants (of which 5 mechanical) mastered the production of elements of products and handed over the first few hundred products to the customer.

In the future, under the leadership of Nikolai Alexandrovich, the FSUE “SNPP“ Splav ”” ensured an annual increase in the production of “Smerch” products. In 1990, the delivery to their customer has increased by 10 times. This made it possible to adopt the high-performance complexes for the Russian Army. For the creation and successful development in serial production of the Smerch system, development teams and manufacturers have been awarded high state awards. Nikolai Alexandrovich was awarded the Order of Lenin.

The conversion of the defense industry began with 1991, while the defense order in 1992 at the enterprise decreased by 12 times, by 1994, Split was abandoned by about 800 people, many of whom were highly qualified specialists. Under these conditions, the company’s management decided: without relying on the state and defense factories in an extremely difficult situation, to urgently establish their own production, while continuing to develop the latest types of world-class products, based on modern developments, load their productions and help the plants in the region and Russia, placing them orders.

N.A. recalls Makarovets: “The worst thing for me as a director was the constant threat of insufficient enterprise utilization and non-payment of wages. When thousands of people are waiting for her, but there is no source of payment, because defense enterprises have been abandoned by the state, institutions and factories have stopped, you feel disgusted. A huge pressure was put on the heads of the enterprises. During this period, I grew gray early, grew older, but did not give up the circumstances. We never delayed the payment of wages, built free housing for employees, solved other social problems. Together with the team, we found a solution, and I am immensely grateful to my staff, with whom we have gone through these difficult years and brought the company to the forefront of global frontiers. Now my colleagues are doctors of science, laureates of state awards, honored designers of the Russian Federation. Many of them have their own scientific schools. ”

On the initiative of N.A. Makarovtsa began intensive work on the creation on the basis of traditional military production technologies of high-tech civilian products not only for the experimental plant FSUE “SNPP“ Splav ””, but also for the plants of the main administration. More than 30 types of civilian products, including fire extinguishing agents, equipment for processing agricultural products, household electrical products, high-pressure cylinders, medical equipment, water and gas metering devices, and printing equipment were organized at the plant and factories of the industry. NPO "Splav" has become a diversified enterprise. For a complex of works in the field of conversion N.A. Makarovtsu was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation for 1993 year.

“Splav” not only survived under conditions of tough conversion, but also became an advanced defense enterprise, having significantly increased both its scientific and production potentials. The production area of "Splava" has more than doubled, exceeding 150 thousand square meters, the number of employees of the enterprise increased by 1200 people. Headed N.A. Makarovts enterprise every year increases the volume of production, produces new types of competitive products.

Nikolai Aleksandrovich Makarovets has exceptional services in promoting domestic MLRS to the world arms market, he personally participated in the preparation of almost all export contracts of the enterprise. Today, only the modernized Grad MLRS is in service in more than 50 countries of the world. Successful foreign economic activity N.A. Makarovts allowed to ensure the financial and economic stability of FSUE “SNPP“ Splav ”” and a number of factories in the industry. By order of the Committee of the Russian Federation on military-technical cooperation with foreign countries from February 3 of 2003, the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Research and Production Enterprise" Splav "" has been granted the right to conduct foreign trade in military products in terms of supplies of spare parts, units, educational and auxiliary property, maintenance and repair of these products th destination.

The focus of N.A. There are constantly social issues and problems of the company's employees and veterans in Makarovtsa: the company’s buildings are being reconstructed, housing is being built, life and medical care are improving.

Nikolai Aleksandrovich is known as an authoritative expert in the field of internal ballistics of rocket engines. His knowledge and experience are in demand for solving many problematic issues on this topic in Russia and abroad. He is the author of 170 inventions, more than 350 scientific papers, including the books Experimental Modeling and Testing of Missile Separation Systems (2005, in collaboration with G. A. Denezhkin, V. I. Kozlov, A. A. Redko) “Multiple launch rocket systems and their effectiveness” (2005, in collaboration with LA Ustinov, BA Avoteny).

In 1991, N.A. Makarovets defended his doctoral thesis, and he was awarded the title of professor. Under his supervision, 15 candidates and doctors of science were trained. He is a member of two academic dissertation defense councils. In 1996, Nikolai Aleksandrovich organized and headed the department of the Tula State University "Starting and technical complexes of the RSZO" on the basis of the FSUE "SNPP" Splav ". He is a full member of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Russian Academy of Engineering, an honorary doctor of Tula State University. He was awarded the title "Honored Worker of Education."

ON. Makarovets was a deputy of the Altai Regional Council, Biysky and Tula city councils of people's deputies, a member of the board of the Ministry of Defense Industry, the president of the Tula regional council of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

For outstanding achievements in the development of multiple launch rocket systems, N.A. Makarovets in 1997 was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation. He was awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland, II and III degrees, Lenin, the October Revolution, the Red Banner of Labor, and medals. Freeman of the city of Tula. In 1995, he was recognized as “Man of the Year” in the nomination “Figures of the military-industrial complex”.

What I would like to say about this man = a real Soviet man, a Komsomol member, a communist - not like today's "effective" managers, whom the EBN and his last ones glorified. And most importantly, he is a real Soviet patriot. May God grant him health, patience and good luck.
