The analytical program "However," with Mikhail Leontyev 26 December 2013

A few words for the year. Tankers loaded with Syrian chemical weapons under the protection of Russian ships, transport it to a US ship, where it will be destroyed in accordance with the agreements reached. A year ago, such a picture would be considered a product of violent imagination.

A year ago, the United States and its allies denounced Russia for supporting the "bloody Assad regime" in Syria and were almost openly preparing for a military operation. At the same time, the question of probable strikes against Iran was being discussed. Saudi Arabia offered Russia a bribe to 15 billion dollars for refusing to support Syria in the blue eye. Fraternal Ukraine selflessly made the European choice. And only the whims and claims of European diplomats prevented the final solution of the Ukrainian question. Against this negative background, the only exception was Georgia, which had entered the day before on a cure for "Saakashism".

A year ago, the stench of the Magnitsky Act, just adopted by the Americans, seemed to completely determine the atmosphere of Russian-American relations. When a year ago we talked about the possibility of radical changes in these relations, and indeed in politics and the worldview of a weakening superpower, authoritative analysts twisted their fingers at their heads. And they talked about the failure of Putin’s diplomacy in all vectors. You know, like in a joke: not lost, but won, and not in preference, but in chess ... These 15 billion, invested, in fact, in reintegration with Ukraine, against 15 billion failed Saudi bribe - a clear illustration of Russian foreign policy triumph Sample 2013 of the year.

The September agreement on the Syrian chemical weapons and the Geneva-2 conference scheduled for January radically changed the situation not only around Syria. November - a breakthrough in the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program. Today, military strikes on Syria and Iran, that is, the prospects for unleashing a global war in the region are out of the question. Saakashvili is a symbol of pathological Russophobia, not only forcedly employed in the United States, but also became banned from entering Ukraine. Ukraine itself hastily restores military-technical cooperation with Russia. The Vilnius Summit, called to become the triumph of the so-called "Eastern Partnership", turned into his funeral. Where instead of those who took the oath of Ukraine and Armenia, one unfortunate dilapidated Moldova swore oath.

Notice that everything that Putin was reproached, the idea of Eurasian integration with a tough, consistent policy towards its opponents, a tough, consistent position on Syria, allegedly driving Russia into international isolation, opposition to a forceful solution to the Iranian nuclear problem - all this turned out to be a plus. It turned out to be a plus, it would seem inappropriate perseverance in upholding the principle of national sovereignty, confronting all sorts of humanitarian interventions, upholding the seemingly forever lost influence of the UN. Russia has made a long bet on a multi-polar world, where a superpower, overstrained in its greatness, will have to agree. And Russia won this bid.

And the taming of the obstinate is generally ours historical mission.

          Very characteristic of Chinese socialism, for the style of leadership of the party in the country, is a self-critical analysis. He is convincing both in the writings of Deng Xiaoping, and in the present political reality of the PRC. The merit of Deng Xiaoping is that, after returning from exile, he did not fight the past. On the contrary. He set the task of connecting what was good in the past, what should evolve, with innovations while at the same time abandoning dogmatism. In 1981, the CPC’s attitude toward Mao Zedong’s place in the history of the party and the country was officially revised. It was highlighted that it is an absolute value, and that which pulls back, which the party must give up.

            for chinese socialism

            There is not socialism, but capitalism with Chinese characteristics.
            These specifics are:
            1) One-party system.
            2) Portraits of leaders and red banners.
            3) The name of the party is "communist".
            And nothing more. The rest is ordinary capitalism, with weak social guarantees (only one out of four is entitled to retire), with a huge share of foreign capital (more than in Russia or Germany), with paid healthcare and paid higher education, with an ever-decreasing public sector (share the public sector in GDP below Russia), with huge social inequality, with legal billionaires, with unemployment and mass emigration.
            A capitalist country, slightly colored red. And painted with a thin-thin, thinner layer.
            1) National economy - capitalism, and more "wild" and exploitative than in Europe, the United States and even in Russia.
            2) State ideology and practice - Chinese nationalism, tinted with red paint.
            3) State phraseology - Maoism.
            This is what the PRC of the 21st century is.

                Add also that the Chinese economy is the most dangerous economy in the world and for the world ...

                There is nothing dangerous in it.
                The Chinese economy is very vulnerable, highly dependent on external demand for its products and on the import of raw materials. Here we are crying about dependence on commodity exports, but dependence on commodity imports is a hundred times worse. We just didn’t come across this, and we don’t understand how good it is to have our own raw materials.
                Suppose Australia decides to supply iron ore to China and decides to remelt it itself (but it can, people live there more stupid than the Chinese). Then the whole economy of China will receive such a blow that it will not seem enough.
                In addition to ore, China is heavily dependent on the import of oil and gas, coking coal.
                Therefore, they do not claim world domination. Those who fear the "Chinese threat" are just as inadequate as the tales of "Chinese socialism."
                China is so integrated in the global economy that it will never start any major war.
                And China is such a market country that there has long been nothing left of socialism except slogans and phraseology. And only a not completely mentally healthy person will consider a really communist party, into which legal billionaires are accepted.
                To understand what "Chinese socialism" is, one must travel to Europe. There are a lot of tourists from China who rent expensive cars, boats, and generally do not deny themselves anything. And there are even more slaves who plow 12 hours a day without being protected by local laws. These are builders, drivers, waiters, maids, bartenders, janitors, plumbers. They, among other things, serve their rich countrymen, bend their backs in front of them too. That's the kind of "socialism" there. Yes, there is less of it than we have.
                It's just that the communists really want to believe that their ideas live somewhere and win. So they came up with a fairy tale about "Red China".

By the way, guess whose children in schools occupy the top lines of academic performance ratings? That's right - the children of immigrants, mainly Chinese and those who came from the former USSR. As for the fact that Australia will melt the ore itself, such a desire is not yet visible, and most likely will not. International mining monsters rule the business, they smelting metal - to the bulb. At best, concentrate processing.
                  And yes, if the whale refuses Australian ore and hard coal, then in a few months the country will slide to the level of Kosovo, because there is practically no industry of its own.

                      - You shouldn't swear at Chinese goods. For example, we had a couple of terrible cases in Almaty with a mixer and a fuel tanker on a Chinese chassis. The brakes of the mixer in the mountains failed - as a result, 11 completely crushed people and the driver died! The fuel truck also failed in the center of the city, the driver heroically tried to save the state of affairs - as a result, he was burnt alive, but there were no more victims. Eternal memory to him. We started to raise the issue of Chinese trucks - it turned out that we ourselves are taking flat trucks from the Chinese! It is clearly written there - it is forbidden to exploit in mountain conditions! They didn't want to take it themselves - those trucks adapted to the mountains are one and a half times more expensive, even more expensive than KAMAZ. And if we take the lowland "Chinese" - then with the same consumption of diesel fuel, the Chinese are more powerful, take in cargo one and a half times more (15 tons versus 10 for KAMAZ) and are generally not inferior to KAMAZ in terms of operational reliability. And Almaty is a sloping city, almost all of it is located in the mountains! So on a deep test - as a rule, THEY GUILTY! The Chinese have different products for every taste. And they do not hide - want "good quality"? It will be expensive. Do you want "bad quality"? It will be cheap! Nothing original or new. And by the way, if anything, on a Chinese diesel truck, of course, they copied it from the Japanese, I bring two pallets of drywall from Kapchagai - that's THREE TONS! More precisely, my people. I spend only 150 liters of diesel fuel for 70 kilometers (15 km to Kapachgay). I hope you don’t need to tell about the Gazelle? I also have a gazelle, if that. She is bigger than this Chinese, but can I tell you why I don't send a gazelle to Kapchagai? Or have you already guessed? Again, you are not in the subject. And again I ask - eat less lemons -))))

In general, I am wary of all these "Isms", because by and large the difference is minimal, but at the same time this difference is inflated to universal proportions. But with regard to China, I would rather agree with you, although I would like to note, despite all the shortcomings you have indicated, China is still a tougher and more effective fight against corruption and greater equality of citizens before the law. They certainly have corruption! And it is great. But their party leadership is practically NOT INFECTED with this filth, and who of the Chinese party bosses was caught - mercilessly shot. Regarding equality before the law, let us recall the recent case when a Chinese major, the son of a major Chinese general, abused a girl. But the bastard was sent to prison without any! So the picture is not as straightforward as you paint. Too many lemons distort the incoming information a little, so eat a little less of them.

        Yes, it’s not a profit! The Islamists refuse to sit at the negotiating table with Assad. But the SSA is ready for this. But, after the Islamists took the SSA headquarters and all the large arms depots, the SSA ceased to be a significant figure in the conflict. That's why Geneva-2 turned out to be utopia.

    I myself went nuts, from the beginning, to the beginning ... Rogozin's visit to Ukrainian enterprises, then immediately a message about cooperation with the Antonov Design Bureau to resume production and modernize Ruslan for the needs of the Russian Federation, then, lifting the ban on the import of railways vogons for the needs of Russian Railways, yesterday I deducted that gas carriers will be built together at the shipyards, I am silent about the discount on gas and loans. But you know what thoughts I constantly catch myself on, these are not some chaotic gestures, but a well-developed plan, and it seems to me that the second term of Yanukovych and support for the GDP in the elections are at stake.

    Leontyev knows how to "lick". The year in foreign policy turned out to be really brilliant, and not the last role in this of Lavrov, who was not mentioned by Leontyev. But the "minuses" in the economy, unfortunately, neutralize foreign policy successes, which is confirmed by the VTsIOM poll. Putin's rating has dropped to 44%, and Medvedev will soon probably go into negative territory altogether. I would like to wish the government a new prime minister in the coming year and the same success in the economy as in foreign policy, and Tolik Serdyukov, a state-owned apartment for 15 years.

    Next time for another hysterical PROPOSAL FOR A RETURN OF ALASKA wink I give only a few lines:. Having rummaged in a question it was succeeded to precisely determine a situation with Alaska. 1 - the contract was signed only in English and in Russian it does not exist as a legal document. 2 - the text of the contract looks like this: [American Historical Documents, 1000-1904.The Harvard Classics. 1909-14.] [Treaty with Russia (Alaska Purchase)] [(1867)] [Convention between the United States of America and His Majesty the Emperor of Russia, for the assignment of Russian possessions in North America to the United States, concluded in Washington March 30, 1867 Ratification Counseling Senate, April 9, 1867 Ratified by the President, May 28, 1867 Ratification exchanged in Washington on June 20, 1867. Alaska Refund Proposal

      And this is the total from the post on the link:

      According to the agreement, Alaska is legally owned by Russia, but transferred to the US Physical Administration. This contract does not entail a sale. At the same time, the agreement itself provides for the transfer to the United States of rights to manage territories that are not private property territories. Also under the agreement all churches in Alaska belong to the Russian Orthodox Church.

      T.O. Alaska was not sold to the United States and was not leased to the United States, which everyone is arguing about. She was transferred under a contract of gray, i.e. under an agreement to transfer physical control over the territory without selling the territory to the United States of America.
      Since the term of transferring the territory to physical management was not specified in the gray agreement, Russia has every right at any time to demand Alaska back, because according to the agreement concluded with the USA, Alaska continues to belong to Russia, and only the right to physical management of the territory is transferred to the USA. In the conditions when the validity of the contract is not indicated, it shall be recognized as valid until the moment the claim is made by the owner to return the right to physical control. Those. until Russia declares its right to the physical management of the territory, which should be returned to it immediately by the United States of America upon the first statement of this from Russia.

      These are the pies that came out when sorting out the situation around Alaska.
      И those who say that Alaska was sold to the United States and those who say that Alaska was leased for 99 (100) years are wrong.
      The concluded agreement is neither a purchase and sale agreement, nor a lease agreement; it is a contract of graying or transfer of physical control without making a sale.

      So here there is a clear distinction between the prime minister and the president, the president is engaged externally, and the prime minister inside. I remember when Medvedev was on the throne, Putin occasionally climbed into foreign affairs, cursed the Libyan military, etc., so Medvedev sprayed boiling water on him and asked him not to get involved in his garden. So, the prime minister’s hand is more naughty in the country, although of course under rare supervision. It’s time to transfer the bear to the teachers, even if with the preservation of seniority.

    The Government of Ukraine has developed a detailed schedule for reviewing the agreements of the Customs Union, according to which the Cabinet of Ministers may consider a single customs area agreement in February 2014, and the agreement on the Eurasian Economic Commission in March.

    This is stated in the Schedule for consideration of agreements of the Customs Union (CU), which LB.ua transferred sources in the Cabinet. Another source in the government confirmed the authenticity of the document, but noted that the government had not yet made any decisions on it.

    The schedule was developed on behalf of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov No. 39383/1 / 1-13 dated October 12, 2013. The Ministry of Economic Development was engaged in the development.

    In total, there are 81 agreements on customs policy, tariff and non-tariff regulation, tax policy, services, intellectual property, information exchange, technical regulation, labor migration and investment.

    The document was sent to all heads of central executive bodies. It was also received by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers at the Eurasian Commission, Viktor Suslov and the government commissioner for cooperation with Russia, the CIS countries and the Eurasian Economic Community Valery Muntiyan.

    The ministries had to form their positions on the documents so that they could then consider them at government meetings from October 2013. However, this order of the Prime Minister is not mentioned on the agendas of government meetings. Theoretically, documents could be considered in a block of issues with limited access or put on the agenda by voice.

    President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych during meetings of the Council of Regions on Thursday demanded that Prime Minister Mykola Azarov bring to justice officials who prepared the text of an association agreement with the EU.

    “Those officials who have not carried out the appropriate procedures and agreed on an agreement with the associations of producers, have not held appropriate discussions and have not reached a level of understanding, should be held accountable for this. I am waiting for proposals from you, ”said Yanukovych, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

    The Ukrainian president said that in the basis of interaction between Kiev and the European Union should be, first of all, national interests. “I am convinced that after a certain period of misunderstanding, our European partners will support us and will meet us,” he added.
    ...
    ...
    The President added that in the near future “radical decisions” will be made in the country, including staffing. “In the near future we will make radical decisions, including, as I said, personnel decisions,” Yanukovych said.

    Agony!
    You look at what kind of psychosis the West demonstrates in Ukraine.
    It seems that in Kiev the white light of the whole policy of Brussels and its leading Washington converged.
    Where and when in riots on the square of a foreign sovereign state a "landing" from:
    German Foreign Minister ** Dor Westerwele;
    EU High Hillock for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton;
    US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland;
    Friend of all the unfinished John McCain;
    Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius handing out gloves on barricades;
    The head of the Pentagon, Chuck Hagel, threatens the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Pavel Lebedev, as his subordinate.

    I see that this is an attempt at revenge by the West over the failure of the 888 provocation in Georgia.
    This is a touchstone for how far Russia will go.
    But Russia, without noise and gamma, rendered all possible assistance to the fraternal people and allowed Ukraine to make an independent decision.
    So do friends and native peoples!
    And how do enemies read above.
