Obama's personal rating is also going through hard times: he fluctuates between 45 and 48% for a year. "Safe" is considered an indicator in 50%. In April of this year, 98% of the black population supported the president, now there are only 78%.
In comparative dynamics, the Obama rating resembles that of Bush Jr. during his second presidency. Experts do not exclude that the current owner of the White House risks repeating the inglorious fate of its predecessor.
There and the media. The “fourth estate” also experiences a crisis of citizens' distrust. According to Gallup, only 23% of Americans fully or partially trust television news. But in 1993, the level of trust in television was 46%. Below the 25% media rating fell in 2007 year. The level of confidence of Americans in the print press also collapsed: in 2013, it was the same 23%. In 1979, 51% of Americans trusted newspapers.
At the same time, the positions of medicine were shaken in society. Pharmaceutical wars, the dubious benefits of expensive drugs, the side effects of drugs have undermined American confidence in the healthcare system. In 2003, 44% of the population was unconditionally confident in the possibilities of national health care, and today there are 35% confident. 26% do not trust doctors at all.
Well, and religion. According to a Gallup study, 77% of Americans believe that religion loses influence in society. It simply becomes an anachronism.
