Artificial Intelligence Tanks

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, a group of Russian scientists, working under the direction of Academician A.N. Platonov, completed the development of an artificial intelligence system that will be used in the military industry, in particular, in armored forces.

The system, called "IIDBMS", is currently compatible with a tank T-80U-M1 (pictured) and is intended for use in technology both in combat and marching, it is responsible for controlling the tank, firing guns, and is capable of coordinating its actions with the help of computer networks with another appliances and receive directive directives from the control center.

When creating this technology, which has no analogues in the world, the achievements of the leading developers in the field of creating artificial intelligence, the GPS / GLONASS system, as well as the most advanced electronic components resistant to hard radiation were used. This, according to the creators of the system, will allow the use of tanks, if necessary, in the hottest points up to the zone of application of nuclear, bacteriological and chemical weaponswhere the usual technique, controlled by man or with the help of modern means of automation, is powerless.

In the plans of the working group, as noted in the Ministry of Defense, the creation of aircraft equipped with a module of artificial intelligence, warships and equipment for work in the outbreak of a natural disaster. In the future, the possibility of creating similar systems for the passenger-and-freight transport and agriculture is not excluded.
