Greek Catholics: Cossack family or Janissaries?

39
Falling away from the Orthodox faith in Chervona (Galician) Russia took place long before the Union of Brest, from the middle of the XIV century, when the land came under the rule of Hungarian and then Polish kings first. But it became especially large after the Gorodelsky Seym 1413, which connected Poland and Lithuania, when the Orthodox Ruthenians were forbidden to engage in trade and trade, were in government and elected posts, and were only allowed to be built in designated places - in fact, in the ghetto. The nobility and wealthy people "by thousands converted to Catholicism ...". It was such a bitter time for Russian Orthodoxy, which it had not experienced before or after the 17th century. In fact, even then the mass of the people lost their defenders from the upper class, which facilitated the victory of the union in this part of Russia. It is indicative of what happened at the same time as the Hussite wars in the Czech Republic, where all sections of the population rebelled against the violence of Catholicism.

Created as a political association, the Uniate Church from the very first steps found itself in the position of an inferior subject: in the Vatican it was considered a temporary project, a kind of purgatory for the Orthodox before their conversion to Catholicism. Independently, it was undesirable: a single Russian nation, a close connection with Orthodoxy through rites and shrines could, on occasion, turn everything back, which often happened during its existence. The transition to Catholicism meant an unconditional separation from the roots.

Union did not equate the Rusyns in their rights with the Poles, neither the laity nor the clergy. Polish priests and pans from the very beginning showed neglect to her. "The rites of the Uniate church are worthy of laughter, its teaching is worse than the Turkish, Jewish faith ... None of its followers can be saved." Not without gross insults. “Uniate pop is the same clap ... Your church singing is a howl of dogs ... Every Rusin is a dog, their faith is dog faith.”

Bearing humiliation, bending more and more, Galicia was comforted by the hope that the union would not be forever, that her father’s faith would return. Over the years I got used to it, how oxen get used to a yoke, and found that it turns into a land without clan or tribe. Twice in the seventeenth century. Bogdan Khmelnitsky besieged Lviv, and both times there were no brave men to help the Cossacks enter the city and get even with the Poles for violence. On the other hand, the Janissaries were fruitful, ready to take out their inferiority on Orthodox brothers who are steadfast in the faith.

“Zabuvshi fear of God, stink vriyvayutsya tops in church, strel in oltarі that іkoni, rvut їх, lamayut trek ... Churches ruin, lamayut dahi ... image of the Savior trample down, rіzhut and puncture with knives." Compare with the wildness of 90-s, when their descendants threw out "Moskal" icons from the captured churches and broke "KGB" crosses.

Evil faith, like evil propaganda, makes people who have no spiritual core evil. Over such time is not powerful, and the process of reclaiming them does not affect. Such shouted to Pontius Pilate - “Crucify him!”, Burned dissidents at the fires of the Inquisition, dug up the bodies of the dead Orthodox and threw them to the dogs.

Having recovered from sleep in the nineteenth century, Galicia turned, nevertheless, to the Orthodox-Russian revival, to spirituality. Quite a few famous clerics saw the sight, became staunch supporters of Orthodoxy: “... we are deceived in everything, are deprived of hope for the improvement of the unfortunate fate of our church and people. Therefore, we really have no choice but to decisively declare that we must conscientiously unite with the church from which our fathers came out through unia ... As children of our people, we want to live and die for the cause of this association. And when it happens, there will be nothing to think about the spread of the union, which was an example of the enslavement and oppression of Eastern peoples, ”said priest I. Naumovich in 1883 (the cry of the soul did not remain unheard: in 1891, the“ apostate ”was poisoned. ) Seminarians and monks especially "sinned with favor" towards Orthodoxy, which forced the authorities to close the Uniate Central Seminary in Vienna, and the Basilian monasteries to hand over to the Jesuits.

In Orthodoxy returned whole villages. And again, like 250 years ago in Poland, the Vatican and the authorities applied a clever trick - to split the people, now on a national basis, to incite the Ruthenians on others. And again, successful! Wishing to be deserved it did not decrease.

“Ukrainians are only a tool in the hands of Providence, in order to wrest the Christian East from the ticks of heresy (Orthodoxy), in order to lead it into the bosom of the Apostolic throne and the European community,” the Uniate Metropolitan Sheptytsky - “Ukrainian Moses”, “Batko Ukraїnsko natszy” stated without a doubt ". (Are there many “fathers” in Ukrainians who needed the project “Ukraine” only to kill the Russian soul among the people and make Russia an enemy?) So Yushchenko, the next “father”, recently “fell in love” with “my nation”. And how many were the friendly "moses" who were dragging Ukraine to Poland, Turkey, Sweden, Germany, anywhere, just to "get out of Moscow!" - do not count as now the homeless dogs are not sterilized.

On the eve and with Pachal of World War I, violence once again hit the Orthodox. According to denunciations and with the active participation of Uniate activists, about 60 thousand people lost their lives, and thousands left Galicia before 100 thousand. It can be said that a local genocide was committed, as a result of which the color of the Galician-Russian intelligentsia was virtually destroyed. About these events, “collectors of famines and genocides”, with “zavzyattyam” picking on old wounds, prefer not to carefully recall.

With special maniacal thoroughness, the Uniate Church uprooted Russophilism in its midst; more than 300 priests gave up for slaughter for sympathy for Orthodoxy. Despised by the Catholics, she nevertheless struggled to demonstrate loyalty to the Vatican, at the same time paving the way for Galicia to nationalism. It is not surprising that the OUN easily found a common language with the church. She simply adopted the principle of the Uniates: “For the sake of success, the most shameful act is moral” (compare with the principle of the Vatican: “For the glory of God, you can do everything!”). And they did. There was no precedent in stories of this “sweet couple,” for moral reasons, one or the other refused the temptation to seize, rise, or distort or falsify the facts.

Greek Catholics: Cossack family or Janissaries?

Uniate priests were present in all units of the OUN, including the SS division "Galicia". In the best traditions of the union, "spiritually nourishing" and blessing the "warriors" to accomplishments in the name of God. The accomplishments were, for the most part, the killing of civilians - Ukrainians, Poles, Russians, Jews. In the same tradition, they were remitted from sin in advance. At least, the condemnation of the atrocities of the OUN-UPA neither by the church, nor by its head, Metropolitan Sheptytsky, has been documented. But there are many examples of how the German army tirelessly blessed the German army, praying to God for sending it victory; calls for the population to be submissive to the new government and work for its benefit. (At the end of his life, after the liberation of Galicia, Sheptytsky began to sympathize with Orthodoxy noticeably. Perhaps, the spirit of Rusyns ancestors awoke, or perhaps the typical double-minded Uniate).

The role and place of the Greek Catholic Church in Galicia and the spiritual misery of its “faithful” were well said by the SS “Galicia” "victorious" Pobigushchy: "Whatever any clever people write about our legion, yet no one will take away the fact that with the Communion, he was blessed by the great prelate himself, and therefore everything that our soldiers did was done in the name and with the blessing of our church and Metropolitan Andrey. ”

Once again, this church confirmed that it was primarily a political entity, and showed the viciousness of a mixture of blind religiosity with politicking. It is not surprising that in our days nationalism has resurrected, including due to the zeal of its “holy fathers”. Uniateism and nationalism - twin brothers.

It is regrettable that few Greek Catholics, who are proud of their proximity to the Vatican, know what cruelties were driving their forefathers to the union, and how many of them preferred martyrdom to renunciation of the faith of their fathers. “We sow Orthodox Christians without a shame, ruby їm heads ... Something to be glad your corrupt unіya brought us only tilly grief, unsatisfactory, rebellion, and so we ostogidla, just bazhe b more deprived of our deprived without neji,” - accused the uniate Lithuanian chancellor .

Here it is appropriate to speak with the words of V. Vinnichenko about the “unhappy and dark nation”, about the sin of betrayal that she carries on herself.

Has anyone counted the number of victims of the Uniate Church? Until now, neither she nor the Vatican repented for crimes in Ukraine, Belarus.

Galicia, perhaps more than any other region that honors Cossack dob, should remember how fiercely did the Cossacks of Union and Uniates, who "stand with a knife," hate it. And precisely because of the religious violence, Ukraine was “overwhelmed” by Cossack wars and a popular uprising:

“Gomonila Ukraine, doggo homonyla.
Dovgo, dovgo shelter flowed steppes, chervonila.
Day 1, іnych guvalt, harmati; earth hinder, bend;
Sumna, scary, and zgadaєsh - the heart of usnimsya ".

Galicia, at that time, I remind you, it crawled and gave birth to the Janissaries. Therefore, we can rightfully say: this region is not of the Cossack type, this is not the Ukrainian anthem about it! (“... i will show, sht, brother, Kozat family ...”?).

Conceived in lies, union gave nothing but fratricidal wars, separation of people, bitterness and violence. She tore the Uniates from the national root, from great ancestors, heroes. The worthy son of Ukraine, Bogdan Khmelnitsky, is slung behind the traitor Mazepa; ibid the legendary Getman Sahaidachny, defender of Orthodoxy, Metropolitan P. Grave.

Deifying the popes, do the Uniates know what an abomination of spiritual desolation sat on the Vatican throne, whom the Catholics themselves called “the beast” and even the antichrists, “the monsters of disgusting life, dissolute character, are generally the worst people in all respects?” - in the words of Cardinal Baronius. About whom the idol of Ukrainians T. Shevchenko aptly wrote:

"... І on the apostolic throne of the black years to sit,
Human blood shinky і paradise in hiring oddaє.

Which of the Orthodox patriarchs had such harems like the popes? Who of our saints burned innocent people on the fires? Who of them tortured Catholics to convert to Orthodoxy? Which of the Orthodox burned Catholic churches, trampled on Catholic statues and icons?

Didn't the popes call for: "Let the one who keeps his sword from the blood of the schismatics be cursed?" A fascist devotee, Pius XII, who received the nickname “Hitler's Pope”, “Hitler's Dog” in Europe, blessed the Nazis on the Eastern campaign and refused to condemn the Holocaust.

It is unlikely that all of them are Uniates. Many do not know the Bible, are not inclined to read and do not read serious works, limited to brochures about miracles and miraculous healings. Traditionally, the rule of Jesuits live: "It is necessary ... so that the cotton children get used to the plow, to the pile, to the chains, and not to the book ... The best way to keep them in the dark is misery." Such parishioners are a godsend for the Uniate clergy, pharisaic about piety, mercy and love of neighbor and at the same time spreading intolerance.

If it is true that 2 had been thrown from heaven to earth thousands of years ago, he certainly landed in the heart of the "Roman harlot." Drifting the inescapable pride of the Roman bishops, he raised an empire of spiritual evil and debauchery, where power and gold became sacred objects and where the principle reigns: "You can live without God, without the Pope - it is impossible!". “Only one God is like the Pope; The pope commands heavenly and earthly things, ”says the dogma of the infallibility of the popes. Notice, not the Pope is like God (although this is already blasphemy), but God is just like the Pope. And if the Pope commands heavenly and earthly things, then what does God command? “If the pope pronounced judgment against the judgment of God, then the judgment of God must be corrected and changed,” from the same opus. It should be understood that the creator of the world and the universe is obliged to shuffle with his foot and take it under the visor? None other than marazmatiki wrote and accepted dogma - it is impossible in common sense to create this at the end of an enlightened XIX century. "With his unlimited power, he does everything solely according to his own will ... The power of the Pope has no measures and limits." This is the real, blatant essence of the papacy, the alpha and omega of its mayhem.

Raking up the crimes of the Vatican, one may doubt that God is love. Crusades to Jerusalem resulted in the holy land of mass looting and killing of residents, regardless of their religion. Along the way, the “holy army” plundered Constantinople, the hated rival of Rome — blessing, all the sins of the crusaders were released in advance. “Missionary” activity in South America led to the destruction of a whole civilization, and in North America and Australia - to the genocide of the local population. Intolerance for dissent has reached mania.

Did the apostles of Christ do that? The apostles of the popes did this with great diligence, killing no less than 5 million people’s lives for the sake of "saving their souls." Thereby eclipsed the atrocities of the Roman pagan emperors against the first Christians.

Where is the modern John the Theologian, who will write about the Vatican "harlot" and the coming trial of her? The time is long over.

Opus against Catholicism. Oh well. Only here are Catholics and Muslims, as far as I remember from religion, the most common denominations in the world. Then Hindus, Confucians and Buddhists. And the Orthodox are now at the level of Pentecostals + Baptists + all sorts of other Presbyterians, in terms of the number of parishioners, i.e. one of the marginal Christian sects. I myself was baptized in Orthodoxy, but I don’t feel any piety before Gundyaev and his priests, but marching air-borne temples, biology books with extensive inscriptions from the Bible and the life of saints (as in the union — quotes from Marxes and all kinds of Lenins), and other similar religious twists, puzzling to say the least. I perceive the author’s attacks on Greek Catholics and Catholics from the same opera that all holy fools sing. He searches for skeletons in the closet of the history of these denominations, but is silent about the history of Orthodoxy. And there was also a lot of interesting things.

"Good" response vyser, and after that do you still suggest ?:

But in general, do not hurt the religious feelings of believers, let them believe themselves how they want and what they want, if only they would not interfere with other citizens.

Do you think they’ll hear you now? To call Orthodoxy a sect ... hmm .. I will not, I will refrain.

Remember how the ubiquitous day-worker SHELMENKO used to say - "All this is so, but the trochs are not at all like that!" Greek Catholicism. How it was expressed - read it again.
It is impossible to sit on two different chairs ... so it is impossible to believe in the postulates of a selectively selected symbiosis of two directions of one religious teaching.
This explosive mixture gave rise to dislocations in morality ... which was expressed in crimes against the people ... Under the banner of Greek Catholicism, the army of the GALICHINA division slaughtered the Poles and Ukrainians ... Russians and Belarusians ... OUN and UPA intercepted their banner and massacre ... Yes, only for the blessing of these crimes against humanity, this trend of the Christian faith has placed itself outside the framework of civilization ...
And the current practice of promoting Sodom sin ??? Where to relate it?
      You didn’t see this!

Orthodox, this is not a sect, as you freely interpret (if not tougher). Orthodox are the main population of Russia. I do not say that all believers adhere to a cult, but the traditions established a thousand years ago are very strong in our society. To offend Orthodoxy, to put it mildly, cause inconvenience to the great and Great Russia-Russia. Better beware - crush like a louse.

No, we will not identify. Fortunately, Orthodoxy allows this, and even more than that. It is allowed to disagree and argue with the Patriarch.
And we, believers and sympathizers, are required to form a "social order" for the image of a clergyman. Like any person in power.
            And the Church will respond.

MR. Gundyaev, who occupies such a high post in the hierarchy of the Orthodox Church

Incidentally, it is illegal ............. Was Gundyaev Vladimir Mikhailovich (Monk Cyril) canonically placed in the priesthood?
The canons of the Holy Apostle are supposed to ordain the deacon at 30, and the presbyter at 33, not to mention the young man becoming archimandrite at 24 (virtually bypassing all previous steps), and at 28 becoming rector of the Theological Seminary. Yes, and being immediately put in the rank - right from the seminary bench, by analogy with military service - from the rank and file immediately to the junior officer rank, and a year later - to the colonel.
However, this would not be so important if he hadn’t been a protege of the famous ecumenist and philocatholic Metropolitan Nicodemus (Rotov), who died at the feet of the Pope (in the most direct, and not figurative sense).

Honorary Professor of the Military Academy of the Air Defense Forces (Smolensk) and holder of the medal "65 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." Mr. Gundyaev was never seen in patriotic activity (if we understand patriotism precisely as sacrificial love for his homeland, and not praise in her honor).

Moreover, the true attitude of Mr. Gundyaev to his compatriots was revealed during his interview to the Russia TV channel in 2010. “In September 2010, answering the questions of the Rossiya TV channel, Patriarch Kirill was clearly carried away and revealed his true face - the face of a cosmopolitan, alien to both Russia and the entire Slavic world.
“The Orthodox Church preserves in its history, in its Tradition, the remarkable names of the saints Equal to the Apostles Cyril and Methodius. In a sense, we are the Church of Cyril and Methodius. They left the enlightened Greco-Roman world, and went to preach to the Slavs. And who were the Slavs? These are barbarians, people who speak an incomprehensible language, they are second-class people, they are almost beasts (Note that "Slovenes" or "Slovenes" are literally people of the Word, that is, people who speak the same language, which is of tremendous importance, and very close to the proto-language of mankind - Sanskrit - Cyril did not say that. And he does not know?). And so enlightened men went to them, brought them the light of Christ's truth and did something very important - they began to speak with these barbarians in their language, they created the Slavic alphabet, Slavic grammar and translated the Word of God into this language. "

It is curious that the patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church not only, as it turned out, preaches an openly Nazi ideology, but is also poorly versed in the history of his own church.
Cyril and Methodius were neither Greeks nor Romans. They came from the Byzantine city of Thessaloniki. It is known from the "Brief Life of Clement of Ohridsky" that Cyril and Methodius were Bulgarians. Thessaloniki, where the brothers were born, at that time was part of the Slavic territory and was the cultural center of Macedonia ”2.

      Neither shame nor knowledge.

In the summer of 1588, the Patriarch of Constantinople Jeremiah himself arrived in Moscow. The Russians suggested that he be appointed Patriarch Job. The delivery triumph took place on January 26, 1589. Upon departure from Moscow, Jeremiah left here a written letter about the establishment of a patriarchate and promised to conduct this matter through the Cathedral of Eastern hierarchs upon his return to the east. The cathedral was held in Constantinople in 1590, but since it did not have the patriarch of Alexandria Meletius Pigas, and meanwhile in Moscow it became known that this influential patriarch did not approve of the actions of the patriarch Jeremiah in Moscow, as committed without the authority of other patriarchs, the cathedral Moscow Patriarchate, was convened again in Constantinople in 1593 with the participation of Meletius, and it was approved with the appointment of the fifth patriarch, after Jerusalem; the right to deliver Moscow patriarchs was granted to the council of local bishops.

        Neither shame nor knowledge.

The voyage of patriarch general Gundyaev to Ukraine provoked outrage both sensible Russians and ordinary, ordinary Ukrainians.

Ukrainians note that the so-called “Russian Orthodox Church” has no right to exist at all and is canonically illegal according to the Apostolic rules:

“Even a century and a half after the self-proclamation of the so-called Moscow "patriarchy", when he was finally recognized by the Ecumenical Patriarch, the anathema was not removed from him. It has not been removed to this day. So Vovka Gundyaev is the same “Cyril” as the “patriarch”. In fact, Gundyaev is an impostor excommunicated from the Church, who has not the slightest relation to Orthodoxy.

After the collapse of the USSR, Filaret sharply rushed to chop off a piece of Orthodoxy for his personal use, and its subsequent transformation into a Uniate and then Catholic church. It seems to have been excommunicated (or anathematized) from the Orthodox Church.
The people began to understand treason and their "arrival" began to wane (especially after the departure of Yushchenko). Throwing and discontent also began in the church environment of Filaret.
When he fell ill, his deputies attempted to return to the fold of the Moscow Patriarchate, but "someone" lifted him from his hospital bed (literally) and reversed.
Now, while celebrating the anniversary of the baptism of Russia, Filaret himself spoke out about the unification of the Ukrainian church with the Orthodox.

      Old Believers.

      One example

Here is how he describes a fairly typical Old Believer economy. A wealthy Gusyatnikov family lived in the county town of Nizhny Novgorod province. Grandfathers and great-grandfathers carried a double tax, they wore the indicated dress with a yellow trump card, they bought up their beards with a duty. The Gusyatnikovs had a tannery, a salon factory, a candle factory and a glucose factory.
The owner himself, Gusyatnikov, died overnight on the wrong side, in Saratov. He was left with a young widow, Evpraksia Mikhailovna, with a family in her arms: five sons, two daughters are very small. I was the eighth child on the drifts. The merchants started talking: "The Gusyatnikovs have made up their minds. Where can a young woman bother with such things?" But the great spirit of the Old Believers in the young woman did not let her go to waste. Let us give the floor to P. I. Melnikov.
"In human weakness, the Lord manifests strength: a young widow in three or four years of doing things on a better foot, raised the tannery so that it became the first in the province, and at the Makaryevskaya fair, gusyatnikov's yuft became known to everyone. Evpraksia Mikhailovna raised her sons, taught them, she married, married her daughters to good people. The sons did not share, everyone lived with their mothers even when they married their children. One word - so well, all right, Evpraksinya Mikhailovna arranged everything so well that not every man succeeds so well. And the Lord rewarded her many years: she saw Evpraksia Mikhailovna and her married grandchildren, nursed, cared for great-grandchildren, she was respected by all people for a strict mobile life. She lived truthfully: she did a lot of hidden goodness, she gave out a lot of secret alms:
There were a lot of people living on the estate of Eupraxia Mikhailovna: there were tanneries, salotopes, candle-making, and glutinous factories, they immediately felted wool, made sheepskins — what workers lived here? And besides, in the trading part of the clerks and artisans and other hired people, they all lived in special huts, each with its own family.

The whole Ukraine project is a long-planned seizure of Russian land by Poland, which is being implemented at the present time. As liberalism is now implanted, with the goal of destroying cultural values, Catholicism was formerly forcibly implanted.
The current political section of Ukraine is clearly visible on a religious basis. Catholics, Greek Catholics, Uniates - on the one hand (for Poland, or the veiled EU) and Orthodox on the other (for Russia).

Here the author is fundamentally wrong. It is the "Cossack family" and the Ukrainian anthem about them. And before Bohdan Khmelnitsky and in his time and after him, how many times Cossacks ran into Galicia, cutting out the male population and actively inseminating all the female that moves. Later, during the reign of Catherine II, the Zaporozhye Cossacks in their entirety were moved to the Terek and Kuban, and now they are part of the Russian people. It is not surprising that the OUN easily found a common language with the church. She simply adopted the Uniate principle: “For the sake of success, the most shameful thing is moral” (compare with the Vatican principle: “For the glory of God, you can do everything!”).
The end justifies the means said Ignatius Layola, creator of the Jesuit Order.

And in this stench of Russophobia an island of ancient Russia was preserved. Good evening everyone! "Asan Ata" is right in his note. We need to unite all of us without distinction of what religion we are, but on the basis that we are SLAVS. good
Regarding disputes and not a sharp exchange of opinions, in my opinion, first of all, when speaking about faith (any, not only Christian), one must be very cautious and correct.
None of us here on the forum, not a theologian, few of us remember or read the Bible and the Gospel, therefore our superficial knowledge and subjective opinions.
For faith, for centuries, many have died and killed others, of a different faith.
Now, militant Muslims have become "fashionable" (for a fee), shouting "Alah Akbar" and killing all enemies with a smile, not sparing children and women ...

In the very branches of Christianity, Orthodoxy and all their branches, the devil himself will break his leg, where is the truth and where is the fiction, it’s hard to say, 2000 years is a long road.
Here is from personal experience, facts not heard from someone else's third hand.
I myself was born and raised in the present Transcarpathian region of Ukraine (born 1960, Rusyn, Ukrainian according to "Birth certificate"), until 1945. it was called Subcarpathian Rus, was the third eastern and the smallest part (800 thousand-1 million) of the first Czechoslovak republic (1918-1939).
In my village (town) lived 10 thousand inhabitants, there was one church.
From childhood I knew her as an Orthodox church.
In the 90s, I learned that it turns out it was built some 150 years ago as a Uniate church and in 1945 was given to the Orthodox Church, although there were only Uniates in the villages before that.
I myself did not participate much in the life of believers, but my late uncle was a strong believer, sang psalms in church and was a member of the "top ten" / church council under the priest.
I know from him that there were periods and months when the believers (Orthodox, Uniates and others) of the community argued among themselves, even in anger, etc.
Openly, this manifested itself already after 1985.
But fights, threats of physical strength, capture of another's church. property between believers in my village - was not.
Now 2 more new churches have been built in it (the new one for the Orthodox, the old one has remained uniate and the third one does not know exactly which one).
What I can say is that, if desired or "the water is boiling from the outside" strongly believing Christians, easily turned into irreconcilable enemies and murderers Gentiles.

Therefore, based on the description of the 150-year-old history of the Christian church that I know of using the Carpathian Ruthenian village as an example, I consider the best approach to the currents in Christianity and it is worth it for everyone to unite on the basis of the SLAVIC nationality, gradually sorting out and settling the differences in the church.
By the way, Ruthenians live in Slovakia (northeast), Poland, the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia, Canada, the United States and Australia.
Relatively different efforts of the Uniates in Lvov and other Western Ukrainians. regions for participation in various provocations / memorial services and chanting of "heroes-Bendera", so in my opinion these priests work off "donations" from bakeries from Poland, Canada, USA, and do not intend to stand up or praise them!

Article minus. In discussing the church affiliation of a particular group of people in a historical context, the author does not share the concepts of religion and politics. The Vatican is a continuation of the Roman Empire, its new embodiment in the light of the Christian Religion, which attracts people with simple and understandable messages to the best qualities of a person. From here, all the steps of the Catholic Church become clear. But you must always understand that there are no fools in the Vatican.

Any religion, in its essence, is aimed at improving the personality. And, if the preacher calls to take away the belongings, humiliate, kill a person of a different faith, then this is politics - the dirtiest of all human affairs. One of the most effective tools of politicians is the blasphemy of another religion, with subsequent coercion or destruction of carriers, but ALWAYS with the removal of property. There is no question of any improvement in personality - only business.

A test for lice is a simple question: "If a non-believer leaves, what will a "zealot" of faith have?"

Any religion, in its essence, is aimed at improving the personality.

Fortunately, we studied in Soviet times and historians, with a brain unclouded by religion, have always taught us that at all times, any religion is basically an instrument of influence and management of people and people. In its pure form, now we can say that religion (from the young) as an instrument and core of the state can be said about Islam (I will not talk about Buddhism, this is a separate topic), remove, for example, "Allah Akbar" in Chechnya and instead of a clouded brain, a bunch of thinking people will appear people, each with his own ambitions and desires, and all power ends (please everyone, listen to everyone), and so "Allah Akbar" and everyone rushed where the ruler pointed his finger. Well, another proof of the negative influence is that these countries are lagging behind in development and not so much in financial terms (although this is enough in the Islamic world) as in the moral and moral, with people who in the 21st century still dance ritual dances and bring bloody sacrifices, you need to keep your ear open and not turn your back on them, despite their "kind" smiling faces. So religion, as it was "opium for the people" and a brake on progress, has remained.

I read the comments and understand that for the most part commentators are just an example of the fact that the Vatican was, is and, alas, will be successful in its politics - "Divide et impera" - "Divide and conquer". Because it plays on what skillfully interferes with politics and religion. More often than not, it is politics that hides behind religious slogans.
"Kill them all! The Lord will recognize his own!" - in a frenzy shouted the papal legate Arno Amalric in Languedoc during the massacre of the Cathars in the city of Béziers in 1209. What has changed since then?
All commentators are so sure that all Uniates are traitors, and traitors are Unitats, which is scary. That is what the ill-wishers of Russia and the Slavs in general are striving for - to undress, delimit, quarrel ... So that they forget about the common root and gnaw at each other's throats.
