In search of tar in the Universiade results
If, prior to the beginning of the Kazan Universiade, an ordinary Russian fan, radeyuschy for the prestige of the country in the sports, and therefore, in the geopolitical arena, asked: how much gold we take, then this same fan at best called 40-50, remembering the results of the Universiade in the city Shenzhen (PRC) in 2011 year. Then the Russians won the 42 gold, 45 silver and 45 bronze medals, taking the second team place, losing to the Chinese, the result of which in 145 medals (75 of them gold) seemed unattainable. However, Kazan University 2013 has turned for the Russian athletes in the present victorious march. The result, which is worthy to get into the book of records: 292 medals, of which 155 is of golden value!
More than 10 of thousands of young athletes from 162 countries took part in the big sporting event. The 351 award kit was played in 27 sports.
The Russians won gold medals in water and team sports, martial arts and athletics, shooting and other sports competitions. After numerous failures that have pursued Russian sport all of the recent time, the results of the home Universiade can be easily put into the asset of the national sports school and express gratitude to those athletes and coaches who mined so important for us the “gold” of the most prestigious international tournament.
But against the background of general joy for the success of Russian sports triumphs, without a spoonful of tar, you cannot understand anything, you know. Well, judge for yourself, how can Russian (and even more so foreign) liberal publications allow themselves to enjoy the success of Russian athletes, and even more so thank them for their work. No, no! This will also violate the credo of these publications, the statutes of which clearly state: the more shit you pour into Russia, the better. So now they are practicing in the search for arguments to question and obstruct the results of the Universiade in Kazan.
Words that the Universiade was a demonstration of "Potemkin villages" swept the liberal media. However, were there any “Potemkin villages”, was the Universiade-2013 with a bias towards outright pretense, was there hurray-patriotism, having little in common with real patriotism? In order to understand this, we will conduct a small monitoring of those publications that have generated "democratic" publications, and will try to draw conclusions.
The newspaper Kommersant, splashing poisonous saliva, was honored by an article stating that the Russian sports machine (now the Kommersant’s Russian sport, it turns out, the machine - author’s note) “turned the world, European and Olympic champions on.” They say that foreign states brought suckers to Kazan, and Russia released "veterans" against them. Well, if 18-20-year-old boys and girls can be called "sports car", then Kommersant contradicts itself, because quite recently on the pages of the same publication the Russian national teams were called "pitiful" and "helpless". And suddenly the car ...
By the way, the journalists of Kommersant, apparently, clearly failed to assess how many Olympians were at the Olympics, and what teams they represented. So, the Olympic medalists did perform at the Olympics, nobody hid this, it is not prohibited by the regulations, but only the total number of these champions and prize winners was 38, of which less than half were in favor of Russia. So did they win all the 292 medals for the Russian team? But no. Champions and medalists of the Olympics were in other national teams, what prevented them from crushing our “suckers”? .. The winners and medalists of the world championships in the Russian team were 3 times less than, for example, in the Chinese.
For some reason, Kommersant does not cite these statistics, which clearly exposes the task of discrediting the Russian national team with all available means, and most importantly, juggling the facts.
Moreover, the aforementioned newspaper saw the fraud in the representation of the number of viewers of the Kazan sports forum. This number amounted to 3 billion people. Kommersant, without presenting any facts that refute this data, immediately announced that Mutko was lying, that this was propaganda ...
However, in order to make sure that the Minister of Sports does not lie, you can present the data only of cellular operators in the CIS and Eastern Europe. The video traffic for viewing channels broadcasting sports events, videos from the Universiade, corresponded to the number of millions of views from unique subscriber numbers in 200. And this is only in the cellular communication cluster (mobile phones, tablets, smartphones), and only in the CIS-Eastern Europe. If we consider that the viewing of the competitions was conducted mainly through television receivers, then the numbers of cell phones can be easily increased tenfold. So the “Kommersant” studs are clearly unfounded.
The American edition of The New York Times, no less than the Russian Kommersant, is concerned about the success of Russian athletes at the Universiade in Kazan, and therefore comes up with an article that the Kremlin wants to revive an “awesome sports reputation”. For this, the Kremlin, according to NYT journalists, used those students who are listed on higher education in fictitious areas. But the same publication forgets to present to its readers data about the American swimmer, who, as it turned out, was on the lists of college students just a couple of weeks before the start of the Universiade, being in the spring in the lists of expelled students from another college. If there is nothing reprehensible in this deduction-enrollment, then ... And where is the evidence from the NYT that some Russian athletes in universities are fictitious? Such evidence is not presented ...
Some Russian bloggers went further, saying that the criticism of the Universiade is being blocked by fighters from the so-called scientific companies. Allegedly, these same fighters are planted behind their computers to conduct a detailed monitoring of publications about the Kazan Universiade, and as soon as they see the post with a negative color, they immediately send the author “to the bathhouse”. Moreover, such work is allegedly even included in the budget of the Universiade itself. Moscow bloggers come up with such conspiracy information, among whom a certain Mr. Malgin decided to stand out, apparently overheated in the sun, for scientific companies in the Russian army are in embryo, and there is not enough Universiade to remove any possible liberoexercises from Runet ...
There are also individuals who have decided, let's say, with the help of obviously dubious methods to ping Universiade results in social networks. There's a lot of room for a troll show. One of these gentlemen writes: “They remembered about the anniversary of Krymsk at the opening?” What is the name of such a “hero” who decided, let's say, to combine human tragedy and a sports festival? A scoundrel is at least.
Another subject for criticism is the cost of the Universiade. Rustem Minnikhanov (President of Tatarstan) said that the budget of the sporting event amounted to 228 billion rubles, and far from the whole amount - money from the state and regional budget. Critics of such high cost say that they have spent just 1 a billion dollars on the Universiade in China. Moreover, if we raise reports on preparations for the 2011 Universiade in economic publications two years ago, then a billion dollars is money that in China was spent only on organizing the event itself (housing for athletes, volunteers, food, paraphernalia, opening and closing, organization of trade in special zones). It does not take into account any funds for the construction of infrastructure facilities, nor the money that went to the construction of the main sports facilities. In other words, China provided information that, to put it mildly, does not quite correspond to reality. An article in the Financial Times that the total cost of the Universiade in the city of Shenzhen was at least 30 billion dollars. As they say, everything is relative.
In general, the liberal press and other similar platforms in their repertoire: either the trees are too green, or the grass is tall, or the legs are long. We failed the World Hockey Championship - a nightmare, to fire everybody, athletes - for bread and water, “Raska’s failure” and so on. They triumphed at the Universiade in various sports - again it was bad. Common clinical case ...
