Advocacy in cash
At the beginning of the week, the court began to consider the case against a dozen of so-called Bolotnaya activists, who are accused of participating (organizing) the riots during a rally in 2012. These gentlemen have already been declared political prisoners by representatives of the domestic liberal corps, and all recent opposition actions are dedicated to ensuring that “12 freedom fighters’ fighters ”are immediately released. They are not going to let go of the “Fighters” yet, which causes a violent reaction among the valiant Russian human rights activists, who in recent years have become accustomed to the obvious one-sidedness in protecting these very human rights. One of these “one-sided” human rights defenders is the great-grandmother of all domestic dissenters Lyudmila Alekseeva, who, with a number of like-minded people, has already sent a petition to the ombudsman for human rights (Vladimir Lukin). In the petition, Lyudmila Alekseeva, Lev Ponomarev and other representatives of the opposition kunstkamera declare that the trial of the "politically persecuted" is a real torture. Here is an excerpt from the message that Lukin received:
Interestingly, why did Mrs. Alekseeva along with Mr. Ponomarev did not name the very organization of the rally on Bolotnaya Square and the riots that were organized on it, torture for those gathered. Indeed, according to all the “human rights” definitions, last year’s May speech was even worse than today's court. Well, judge for yourself: the rally participants had to get up early and early in the morning, go in a stuffy smoky subway car in the oppressive environment of people with different diagnoses to the center of the capital, go out of the subway in a half-bent state under the weight of the posters and stands they had to carry on their fragile opposition shoulders. Further more! We had to strain our eyes and ears to see the main actors of the rally and hear their calls, breathe air penetrated by gasoline and diesel fumes, experience stress at the sight of the police ... For some reason, human rights activists were not concerned about these "tortures". Paraphrasing a well-known phrase: this is torture for someone who needs torture ...
In general, the “swamp affair” continues to be turned into a regular opposition show, in order to enable their overseas sponsors to find an opportunity to allege a violation of human rights and freedoms in Russia. True, after the revelations of Mr. Snowden, the very Western sponsors of world democracy today themselves are smeared, forgive me, in my own shit, and therefore the Russian courts do not care about them so far - they would wash themselves.
By the way, an interesting episode recently occurred that is associated with history one more political prisoners. We are talking about the German actress Anna Talbach, who about a year ago expressed words of support in relation to the participants of the group Pussy Riot. Then Mrs. Talbah on the German TV channel ZDF, echoing many other foreign artists, said the following:
Well, if then the statement of Anna Talbah lay in the general fabric of the hype in terms of the process of the scandalous punk singers who turned the main Orthodox church of Russia into a place for an unbridled sabbath, here is a new statement by Talbah on the same TV channel that caused a real shock to many. The actress unexpectedly for the moderator and, apparently, let out for herself that she was paid by the ZDF management for the words in support of “Pussy”.
As the saying goes, the word is not a sparrow ... And since it was stupid to go back down, stating that she meant something else, it was stupid, Anna Talbach explained what was said, saying that the TV channel had paid her "a lot of money" for saying suspects at that time gore-singer. How much is the ruble equivalent? - it will not be possible to count, but if “a lot” is enough for a fairly popular German actress, then that means it’s definitely a lot ...
It is noteworthy that not one of those publications, which, with foaming at the mouth of their employees, proved the sincerity of the thoughts of Western stars protecting Pussy Riot, did not have the courage to comment on the episode with unexpected revelations of Talbach. Only a few “free commentators” allowed themselves to say: did Talbah not pay ZDF even now, so that she would say that she had also paid ZDF a year ago? Iron logic. As the saying goes: I looked around to see if she looked back ...
As many remember, not only Mrs. Talbach spoke in support of the scandalous girls who desecrated the temple, but also other stars. Among them were Madonna, Paul McCartney, a number of American rock bands. Moreover, statements in support of Pussy Riot were made either at concerts or on the air of television and radio companies. So is it possible after the revelations of the German screen star to declare that the same Sir McCartney stood up for the girls of frivolous behavior (obviously, not even being familiar with the situation) solely at the call of the heart, that is, for nothing? No you can not.
And if it is impossible in this case, then it is impossible in the case of the support of “political prisoners” by such organizations as the Moscow Helsinki Group, “For Human Rights” and a number of other structures that call themselves human rights. Free advocacy in the modern world, I'm sorry, some kind of nonsense. Well, Lyudmila Mikhailovna does not pull on a free lawyer. And the situation does not allow working in her years for free ... Drugs are now expensive ...
