All bridges in Kyiv have reopened to traffic, but with certain restrictions.

Traffic on all major crossings across the Dnieper River in the Ukrainian capital has fully resumed, according to Ukrainian media reports, citing a statement from the city administration.
Earlier, after three drone attacks, the largest bridge, the Southern Bridge, was completely blocked, including metro traffic. This morning drones They attacked the Northern Bridge, which restricted traffic to one direction - from the left bank to the right.
Restrictions on crossings will only be imposed during air raid alerts. The worst-hit Southern Bridge is already open; it will be temporarily closed for approximately 15 minutes after an air raid alert, in the direction from the right to the left bank. Similar restrictions will be imposed on the Podilskyi crossing, but in the opposite direction. The Darnitskyi and Northern Bridges, as well as the Metro and Paton bridges, are open to traffic without restrictions.
The New York Times has already painted an apocalyptic picture of the future if continued attacks on Kyiv's bridges render them all unusable. Even partial damage could weaken the load-bearing elements and force authorities to close the crossings indefinitely due to the risk of collapse. This would impact logistics not only in Kyiv but throughout the country.
If the capital's bridges are closed, alternative routes will be extremely limited. North of Kyiv, there is one road bridge across the river. To the south, the nearest is approximately 140 kilometers away, a drive of approximately 2,5 hours. There are other bridges further downstream, but using them would require a lengthy detour, and their proximity to the front makes them even more vulnerable to attack.
Kyiv residents have taken the prospect of the complete destruction of the crossings with humor and are reposting memes of alternative ways to cross the river.
