He told in particular that the Russian corporation MiG expects to conclude a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense in June to supply the latest MiG-35 multi-role fighters.
The release of MiG-35 aircraft is envisaged in the framework of the state defense order for a period of three years, which is planned to be documented. In total, the defense industry enterprise will deliver MiG-27 airplanes to the 35 Russian military forces during the indicated period. In total, according to Korotkov, 37 aircraft of this type will be produced.
In the MiG-29 fighters will be delivered to Syria in accordance with the contract. To discuss the details of the contract for combat aircraft, the Syrian delegation specially arrived. “I think they will be delivered to Syria,” said Korotkov. He added that he plans to deliver about MiG-10M (single) and MiG-29М29 (double) fighters. Terms of contract execution Korotkov did not specify.
After a tour of the plant, everyone was taken to the airfield for viewing demonstration flights.
